Background Moyamoya disease(MMD)is a significant cause of childhood stroke and transient ischemic attacks(TIAs).This study aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of remote ischemic conditioning(RIC)in children with *** In a single-center pilot study,46 MMD patients aged 4 to 14 years,with no history of reconstructive surgery,were randomly assigned to receive either RIC or sham RIC treatment twice daily for a *** primary outcome measured was the cumulative incidence of major adverse cerebrovascular events(MACEs).Secondary outcomes included ischemic stroke,recurrent TIA,hemorrhagic stroke,revascularization rates,and clinical improvement assessed using the patient global impression of change(PGIC)scale during ***-related adverse events were also recorded,and cerebral hemodynamics were evaluated using transcranial *** All 46 patients completed the final follow-up(23 each in the RIC and sham RIC groups).No severe adverse events associated with RIC were ***-Meier analysis indicated a significant reduction in MACEs frequency after RIC treatment[log-rank test(Mantel-Cox),P=0.021].At 3-year follow-up,two(4.35%)patients had an ischemic stroke,four(8.70%)experienced TIAs,and two(4.35%)underwent revascularization as the qualifying *** clinical improvement rate in the RIC group was higher than the sham RIC group on the PGIC scale(65.2%vs.26.1%,Prence in cerebral hemodynamics post-treatment was *** RIC is a safe and effective adjunct therapy for asymptomatic children with *** was largely due to the reduced incidence of ischemic cerebrovascular events.

Event-triggered H_(∞) consensus control for input-constrained multi-agent systems via reinforcement learning

This article presents an event-triggered H_(∞) consensus control scheme using reinforcement learning (RL) for nonlinear second-order multi-agent systems (MASs) with control constraints. First, considering control constraints, the constrained H_(∞) consensus problem is transformed into a multi-player zero-sum game with non-quadratic performance functions. Then, an event-triggered control method is presented to conserve communication resources and a new triggering condition is developed for each agent to make the triggering threshold independent of the disturbance attenuation level. To derive the optimal controller that can minimize the cost function in the case of worst disturbance, a constrained Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation is defined. Since it is difficult to solve analytically due to its strongly non-linearity, reinforcement learning (RL) is implemented to obtain the optimal controller. In specific, the optimal performance function and the worst-case disturbance are approximated by a time-triggered critic network;meanwhile, the optimal controller is approximated by event-triggered actor network. After that, Lyapunov analysis is utilized to prove the uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) stability of the system and that the network weight errors are UUB. Finally, a simulation example is utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy provided.

Rapid Energy Exchange between In Situ Formed Bromine Vacancies and CO_(2)Molecules Enhances CO_(2)Photoreduction

Photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)into fuels provides a prospective tactic for regulating the global carbon balance utilizing renewable solar ***,CO_(2)molecules are difficult to activate and reduce due to the thermodynamic stability and chemical *** this work,we develop a novel strategy to promote the adsorption and activation of CO_(2)molecules via the rapid energy exchange between the photoinduced Br vacancies and CO_(2)*** in situ continuous wave-electron paramagnetic resonance(cw-EPR)and pulsed EPR technologies,we observe that the spin-spin relaxation time(T_(2))of BiOBr is decreased by 198 ns during the CO_(2)photoreduction reaction,which is further confirmed by the broadened EPR *** result reveals that there is an energy exchange interaction between in situ formed Br vacancies and CO_(2)molecules,which promotes the formation of high-energy CO_(2)molecules to facilitate the subsequent reduction *** addition,theoretical calculations indicate that the bended CO_(2)adsorption configuration on the surface of BiOBr with Br vacancies caused the decrease of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of the CO_(2)molecule,which makes it easier for CO_(2)molecules to acquire electrons and get *** situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy further shows that the activated CO_(2)molecules are favorably converted to key intermediates of COOH*,resulting in a CO generation rate of 9.1μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)and a selectivity of 100%.This study elucidates the underlying mechanism of CO_(2)activation at active sites and deepens the understanding of CO_(2)photoreduction reaction.

Test and damage assessment of shallow buried RC tunnel under explosion

As a major element of the transportation network,tunnels are unavoidably threatened by accidental loads such as vehicle bombs and tank truck *** goal of this research is to explore the dynamic characteristics and damage assessment of tunnel structures under contact blast ***,three scaled-down reinforced concrete tunnel models were made,and the explosion test and static loading test were carried out successively to evaluate the axial residual bearing capacity,axial displacement and failure mechanism of the ***,the finite element model is built by utilizing LS-DYNA,and the reliability of the finite element method is confirmed by comparing the data of the explosion test with the static loading *** the same time,the calculation method for damage coefficient and the classification criteria for damage grade based on axial residual bearing capacity are ***,based on the finite element method,the propagation process of the explosion shock wave in the tunnel and the damage mechanism of the tunnel are ***,seven explosion scenarios are developed,the damage degree of these seven tunnels under the blast load is quantitatively analyzed,and further anti-blast design ideas are put *** study in this article may give an intended reference for the damage assessment,anti-explosion design and strengthening work of reinforced concrete tunnels.

Synthesizing high-resolution satellite salinity data based on multi-fractal fusion

The spaceborne platform has unprecedently provided the global eddy-permitting(typically about 0.25°)products of sea surface salinity(SSS),however the existing SSS products can hardly resolve mesoscale motions due to the heavy noises therein and the over-smoothing in denoising *** means of the multi-fractal fusion(MFF),the high-resolution SSS product is synthesized with the template of sea surface temperature(SST).Two low-resolution SSS products and four SST products are considered as the source data and the templates respectively to determine the best *** fused products are validated by the in situ observations and intercompared via SSS maps,Singularity Exponent maps and wavenumber *** results demonstrate that the MFF can perform a good work in mitigating the noises and improving the *** combination of the climate change initiative SSS and the remote sensing system SST can produce the 0.1°denoised product whose global mean standard derivation of salinity against Argo is 0.21 and the feature resolution can reach 30−40 km.
