Efficient and 1,8-diiodooctane-free ternary organic solar cells fabricated via nanoscale morphology tuning using small-molecule dye additive

The ternary strategy for incorporating multiple photon-sensitive components into a single junction has emerged as an effective method for optimizing the nanoscale morphology and improving the device performance of organic solar cells （OSCs）.In this study,efficient and stable ternary OSCs were achieved by introducing the small-molecule dye （5E,5＆#39;E）-5,5＆#39;-（4＆#39;,4″-（1,2-diphenylethene-1,2-diyl）bis（biphenyl-4＆#39;,4-diyl））bis（methan-1-yl-1-ylidene）bis（3-ethyl-2-thioxothia zolidin-4-one）（BTPERn） into poly[4,8-bis（5-（2-ethylhexyl）thiophen-2-yl）benzo[1,2-b：4,5-b＆#39;]dithiopheneco-3-fluorothieno[3,4-b]thiophene-2-carboxylate] （PTB7-Th）：[6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl ester （PC71BM） blend films processed using a 1,8-diiodooctane （DIO）-free *** incorporation of BTPE-Rn enhanced the short-circuit current density and fill factor of the ternary OSCs compared with those of binary *** investigation of the optical,electronic,and morphological properties of the ternary blends indicated that the third component of BTPE-Rn not only promoted the photon utilization of blends through the energy-transfer process but also improved the electron mobility of the blends owing to the fullerene-rich nanophase *** importantly,this ternary strategy of utilizing a small-molecule dye to replace the photounstable DIO additive enhanced the operational stability of the OSCs.

Healing the degradable organic–inorganic heterointerface for highly efficient and stable organic solar cells

The heterointerface between the contacted organic and inorganic semiconductors critically affects the charge extraction,hence overall performance of organic optoelectronics,especially for organic solar cells(OSCs).Herein,we develop an effective interfacial strategy that simultaneously boosts the chemical,electric,and electronic properties of the organic–inorganic heterointerface of the derived OSCs,through implanting conjugated molecules as selfassemble monolayers(SAMs)to metal oxide nanoparticles(MO NPs).As results,SAM passivated zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnO NPs)as electron transport layers(ETLs)not only enable the best performed OSCs containing MO ETLs,but also exhibit the most desirable thickness insensitive features(up to 300 nm).In addition,SAM-ZnO ETLs help also substantially improving the photostability of the derived ***,this work can be beneficial to the further development of high-performance and cost-effective OSCs.

A-D-A small molecule donors based on pyrene and diketopyrrolopyrrole for organic solar cells

Three new electron donating small molecules （SMs）, Pyr（EH-DPP）2, Pyr（HD-DPP）2 and PyrA（EH-DPP）2, are designed and synthesized through coupling electron rich pyrene core with electron deficient diketopyrrolopyrrole （DPP） terminals, of which the derived organic solar cells （OSCs） exhibit interesting structure-performance correlation. It shows that the tune of their solubilizing side chains and n-bridge for the acceptor-donor-acceptor （A-D-A） SMs can significantly alter the resultant short-circuit current density and power conversion efficiency （PCE） in OSCs. The Pyr（EH-DPP）2 with short side chains displays broader absorption and higher hole mobility than the Pyr（HD-DPP）2 with long side chains. Although showing planar structure, the acetylene bridge-incorporated PyrA（EH-DPP）2 adapts an undesired edge-on packing and strong aggregation in film, leading to non-ideal morphology and poor miscibility with fullerene acceptors. As a result, the PCE of the solar cell based on Pyr（EH-DPP）2 is several times higher than those based on Pyr（HD-DPP）： and PyrA（EH-DPP）2, indicating the A-D-A combination of polyaromatics with DPP would be the promising skeleton for developing photovoltaic semiconductors.

Isotopic dependence of the yield ratios of light fragments from different projectiles and their unified neutron skin thicknesses

The yield ratios of neutron-proton(R(n/p))and^(3)H-^(3)He(R(^(3)H∕^(3)He))with reduced rapidity from 0 to 0.5 were simulated at 50 MeV/u even-even ^(36−56)Ca+^(40)Ca,even-even ^(48−78)Ni+^(58)Ni,and ^(100−139)Sn(every third isotopes)+112 Sn for full reduced impact parameters using the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics(IQMD)*** neutron and proton density distributions and root-mean-square radii of the reaction systems were obtained using the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model,which was used for the phase space initialization of the projectile and target in *** defined the unified neutron skin thickness asΔRnp=^(1∕2) n−^(1∕2)p,which was negative for neutron-deficient *** unifiedΔRnp values for nuclei with the same relative neutron excess from different isotopic chains were nearly equal,except for extreme neutron-rich isotopes,which is a type of scaling *** yield ratios of the three isotopic chain-induced reactions,which depended on the reduced impact parameter and unified neutron skin thickness,were *** results showed that both R(n/p)and R(^(3)H∕^(3)He)decreased with a reduced impact parameter for extreme neutron-deficient isotopes;however,they increased with reduced impact parameters for extreme neutron-rich isotopes,and increased with theΔRnp of the projectiles for all reduced impact *** addition,a scaling phenomenon was observed betweenΔR np and the yield ratios in peripheral colli-sions from different isotopic chain projectiles(except for extreme neutron-rich isotopes).Thus,R(n/p)and R(^(3)H∕^(3)He)from peripheral collisions were suggested as experimental probes for extracting the neutron or proton skin thicknesses of non-extreme neutron-rich nuclei from different isotopic chains.

Holographic superfluid ring with a weak link

We explore the generation of topological defects in the course of a dynamical phase transition in a ring with a weak link, i.e., a SSS Josephson junction, from the AdS/CFT correspondence. By setting different parameters of the junction(width, steepness,depth) and the final temperature of the quench, the configurations of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters of the dual field theory are presented. Meanwhile, we observe that in the final equilibrium state, variations in parameters of the junctions only affect the configurations of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters, without altering their values outside the junction. However, variations in the final temperature will directly affect the values of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters outside of the junction. Moreover, in the final equilibrium state, we propose an analytic relation between the gauge-invariant velocity in the two superconducting states in the SSS Josephson junction, which agrees well with the numerical results.

Polydatin ameliorates hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury by modulating macrophage polarization

Background:Polydatin,a glucoside of resveratrol,has shown protective effects against various ***,little is known about its effect on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)*** study aimed to elucidate whether polydatin protects liver against I/R-induced injury and to explore the underlying ***:After gavage feeding polydatin once daily for a week,mice underwent a partial hepatic I/R *** alanine aminotransferase(ALT)/aspartate aminotransferase(AST),hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)and TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL)staining were used to evaluate liver *** severity related to the inflammatory response and reactive oxygen species(ROS)production was also ***,immunofluorescence and Western blotting were used to detect macrophage polarization and the NF-κB signaling pathway in ***:Compared with the I/R group,polydatin pretreatment significantly attenuated I/R-induced liver damage and *** oxidative stress marker(dihydroethidium fluorescence,malondialdehyde,superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase)and I/R related inflammatory cytokines(interleukin1β,interleukin-10 and tumor necrosis factor-α)were significantly suppressed after polydatin *** addition,the result of immunofluorescence indicated that polydatin reduced the polarization of macrophages toward M1 macrophages both in vivo and in *** blotting showed that polydatin inhibited the pro-inflammatory function of RAW264.7 via down-regulating the NF-κB signaling ***:Polydatin protects the liver from I/R injury by remodeling macrophage polarization via NFκB signaling.

Association between Serum Ferritin Levels and Metabolic-associated Fatty liver Disease in Adults:a Cross-sectional Study Based on the NHANES
