Enhanced photothermal dehydration of methanol over W_(18)O_(49)/Au/SAPO-34 catalysts with broadened light absorption

Methanol-to-olefins(MTO)process is one of the most critical pathways to produce low carbon olefins.Typically,the reaction is driven by thermal catalysis,which inevitably needs to consume large amounts of fossil fuel.Developing a new technique to substitute for the fuel burning is urgent for MTO process to improve the industry prospects and sustainability.Herein,we report a novel W_(18)O_(49)/Au/SAPO-34(W/Au/S),a multifunctional photothermal catalyst for the MTO reaction.A high methanol conversion was achieved under xenonum(Xe)lamp irradiation,yielding methyl ether(ME)and ethylene as the main products.The optimized W/Au/S catalysts showed ethylene yield as high as 250μmol in 60 min,which was 2.5 times higher than that of Au/SAPO-34.The physiochemical characterization revealed that the SAPO-34 molecular sieves were surrounded by Au and W_(18)O_(49)nanoparticles,which exhibited a strong localized surface plasmon resonance excitation around 540 nm and light absorption beyond 500 nm.The multifunctional catalysts showed a strong photothermal effect,arising from the broadened light absorption of Au and W_(18)O_(49)nanoparticles,leading to a temperature as high as 250℃on the surface of the catalysts.Mechanism study showed that the superior ethylene selectivity of W/Au/S catalysts was attributed to the moderating acidic sites of W_(18)O_(49)for methanol dehydration to ethylene.This research may provide new insight for designing heterostructures to improve photo-to-chemical conversion performance and is expected to accelerate progress toward the excellent multifunctional photothermal catalysts with broad light absorption for methanol activation and C-C bond formation.

AIM:To investigate systemic immune-inflammation index(SII),neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),and plateletto-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)levels in patients with type 2 diabetes at different stages of diabetic retinopathy(DR).METHODS:This retrospective study included 141 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM):45 without diabetic retinopathy(NDR),47 with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR),and 49 with proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).Complete blood counts were obtained,and NLR,PLR,and SII were calculated.The study analysed the ability of inflammatory markers to predict DR using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves.The relationships between DR stages and SII,PLR,and NLP were assessed using multivariate logistic regression.RESULTS:The average NLR,PLR,and SII were higher in the PDR group than in the NPDR group(P=0.011,0.043,0.009,respectively);higher in the NPDR group than in the NDR group(PluSION:The NLR,PLR,and SII may be used as predictors of DR.

A toroidal SAW gyroscope with focused IDTs for sensitivity enhancement

A surface acoustic wave(SAW)gyroscope measures the rate of rotational angular velocity by exploiting a phenomenon known as the SAW gyroscope effect.Such a gyroscope is a great candidate for application in harsh environments because of the simplification of the suspension vibration mechanism necessary for traditional microelectromechanical system(MEMS)gyroscopes.Here,for the first time,we propose a novel toroidal standing-wave-mode SAW gyroscope using focused interdigitated transducers(FIDTs).Unlike traditional SAW gyroscopes that use linear IDTs to generate surface acoustic waves,which cause beam deflection and result in energy dissipation,this study uses FIDTs to concentrate the SAW energy based on structural features,resulting in better focusing performance and increased SAW amplitude.The experimental results reveal that the sensitivity of the structure is 1.51µV/(°/s),and the bias instability is 0.77°/s,which are improved by an order of magnitude compared to those of a traditional SAW gyroscope.Thus,the FIDT component can enhance the performance of the SAW gyroscope,demonstrating its superiority for angular velocity measurements.This work provides new insights into improving the sensitivity and performance of SAW gyroscopes.

Experimental distillation of tripartite quantum steering with an optimal local filtering operation

Multipartite Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR)steering admits multipartite entanglement in the presence of uncharacterized verifiers,enabling practical applications in semi-device-independent protocols.Such applications generally require stronger steerability,while the unavoidable noise weakens steerability and consequently degrades the performance of quantum information processing.Here,we propose the local filtering operation that can maximally distill genuine tripartite EPR steering from N copies of three-qubit generalized Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states,in the context of two semi-device-independent scenarios.The optimal filtering operation is determined by the maximization of assemblage fidelity.Analytical and numerical results indicate the advantage of the proposed filtering operation when N is finite and the steerability of initial assemblages is weak.Experimentally,a proof-of-principle demonstration of two-copy distillation is realized with the optical system.The advantage of the optimal local filtering operation is confirmed by the distilled assemblage in terms of higher assemblage fidelity with perfectly genuine tripartite steerable assemblages,as well as the greater violation of the inequality to witness genuine tripartite steerable assemblages.Our results benefit the distillation of multipartite EPR steering in practice,where the number of copies of initial assemblages is generally finite.

Efficacy and safety of perioperative therapy for locally resectable gastric cancer:A network meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is the fifth most commonly diagnosed malignancy worldwide,with over 1 million new cases per year,and the third leading cause of cancer-related death.AIM To determine the optimal perioperative treatment regimen for patients with locally resectable GC.METHODS A comprehensive literature search was conducted,focusing on phase II/III randomized controlled trials(RCTs)assessing perioperative chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy in treating locally resectable GC.The R0 resection rate,overall survival(OS),disease-free survival(DFS),and incidence of grade 3 or higher nonsurgical severe adverse events(SAEs)associated with various perioperative regimens were analyzed.A Bayesian network meta-analysis was performed to compare treatment regimens and rank their efficacy.RESULTS Thirty RCTs involving 8346 patients were included in this study.Neoadjuvant XELOX plus neoadjuvant radiotherapy and neoadjuvant CF were found to significantly improve the R0 resection rate compared with surgery alone,and the former had the highest probability of being the most effective option in this context.Neoadjuvant plus adjuvant FLOT was associated with the highest probability of being the best regimen for improving OS.Owing to limited data,no definitive ranking could be determined for DFS.Considering nonsurgical SAEs,FLO has emerged as the safest treatment regimen.CONCluSION This study provides valuable insights for clinicians when selecting perioperative treatment regimens for patients with locally resectable GC.Further studies are required to validate these findings.

The joint knowledge reasoning model based on knowledge representation learning for aviation assembly domain

Knowledge graph technology is widely applied in the domain of general knowledge reasoning with an excellent performance.For fine-grained professional fields,professional knowledge graphs can provide more accurate information in practical industrial scenarios.Based on an aviation assembly domain-specific knowledge graph,the article constructs a joint knowledge reasoning model,which combines a named entity recognition model and a subgraph embedding learning model.When performing knowledge reasoning tasks,the two models vectorize entities,relationships and entity attributes in the same space,so as to share parameters and optimize learning efficiency.The knowledge reasoning model,which provides intelligent question answering services,is able to reduce the assembly error rate and improve the assembly efficiency.The system can accurately solve general knowledge reasoning problems in the assembly process in actual industrial scenarios of general assembly and component assembly under interference-free conditions.Finally,this paper compares the proposed knowledge reasoning model based on knowledge representation learning and the question-answering system based on large-scale pre-trained models.In the application scenario of system functional testing in general assembly,the joint model attains an accuracy rate of 95%,outperforming GPT with 78%accuracy and enhanced representation through knowledge integration with 71%accuracy.

Local field potentials,spiking activity,and receptive fields in human visual cortex

The concept of receptive field(RF) is central to sensory neuroscience. Neuronal RF properties have been substantially studied in animals,while those in humans remain nearly unexplored. Here, we measured neuronal RFs with intracranial local field potentials(LFPs) and spiking activity in human visual cortex(V1/V2/V3). We recorded LFPs via macro-contacts and discovered that RF sizes estimated from lowfrequency activity(LFA, 0.5–30 Hz) were larger than those estimated from low-gamma activity(LGA, 30–60 Hz) and high-gamma activity(HGA, 60–150 Hz). We then took a rare opportunity to record LFPs and spiking activity via microwires in V1 simultaneously. We found that RF sizes and temporal profiles measured from LGA and HGA closely matched those from spiking activity. In sum, this study reveals that spiking activity of neurons in human visual cortex could be well approximated by LGA and HGA in RF estimation and temporal profile measurement, implying the pivotal functions of LGA and HGA in early visual information processing.

Efficient elimination of carbamazepine using polyacrylonitrile-supported pyridine bridged iron phthalocyanine nanofibers by activating peroxymonosulfate in dark condition

The monoaminotrinitro iron phthalocyanine(FeMATNPc)is used to connect with isonicotinic acid(INA)for amide bonding and axial coordination to synthetic a unique catalyst FeMATNPc-INA,which is loaded in polyacrylonitrile(PAN)nanofibers by electrospinning.The introduction of INA destroys theπ-πconjugated stack structure in phthalocyanine molecules and exposes more active sites.The FeMATNPc-INA structure is characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and UV-visible absorption spectrum,and the FeMATNPcINA/PAN structure is characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.The FeMATNPc-INA/PAN can effectively activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)to eliminate carbamazepine(CBZ)within 40 minutes(PMS 1.5 mmol/L)in the dark.The effects of catalyst dosage,PMS concentration,pH and inorganic anion on the degradation of CBZ are investigated.It has been confirmed by electron paramagnetic resonance,gas chromatography–mass spectroscopy and free radical capture experiments that the catalytic system is degraded by·OH,SO4^(·-)and Fe(IV)=O are the major active species,the singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))is the secondary active species.The degradation process of CBZ is analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and the aromatic compounds have been degraded to small molecular acids.

CNN-LSTM based incremental attention mechanism enabled phase-space reconstruction for chaotic time series prediction

To improve the prediction accuracy of chaotic time series and reconstruct a more reasonable phase space structure of the prediction network,we propose a convolutional neural network-long short-term memory(CNN-LSTM)prediction model based on the incremental attention mechanism.Firstly,a traversal search is conducted through the traversal layer for finite parameters in the phase space.Then,an incremental attention layer is utilized for parameter judgment based on the dimension weight criteria(DWC).The phase space parameters that best meet DWC are selected and fed into the input layer.Finally,the constructed CNN-LSTM network extracts spatio-temporal features and provides the final prediction results.The model is verified using Logistic,Lorenz,and sunspot chaotic time series,and the performance is compared from the two dimensions of prediction accuracy and network phase space structure.Additionally,the CNN-LSTM network based on incremental attention is compared with long short-term memory(LSTM),convolutional neural network(CNN),recurrent neural network(RNN),and support vector regression(SVR)for prediction accuracy.The experiment results indicate that the proposed composite network model possesses enhanced capability in extracting temporal features and achieves higher prediction accuracy.Also,the algorithm to estimate the phase space parameter is compared with the traditional CAO,false nearest neighbor,and C-C,three typical methods for determining the chaotic phase space parameters.The experiments reveal that the phase space parameter estimation algorithm based on the incremental attention mechanism is superior in prediction accuracy compared with the traditional phase space reconstruction method in five networks,including CNN-LSTM,LSTM,CNN,RNN,and SVR.

Enhancing source domain availability through data and feature transfer learning for building power load forecasting

During the initial phases of operation following the construction or renovation of existing buildings,the availability of historical power usage data is limited,which leads to lower accuracy in load forecasting and hinders normal usage.Fortunately,by transferring load data from similar buildings,it is possible to enhance forecasting accuracy.However,indiscriminately expanding all source domain data to the target domain is highly likely to result in negative transfer learning.This study explores the feasibility of utilizing similar buildings(source domains)in transfer learning by implementing and comparing two distinct forms of multi-source transfer learning.Firstly,this study focuses on the Higashita area in Kitakyushu City,Japan,as the research object.Four buildings that exhibit the highest similarity to the target buildings within this area were selected for analysis.Next,the two-stage TrAdaBoost.R^(2) algorithm is used for multi-source transfer learning,and its transfer effect is analyzed.Finally,the application effects of instance-based(IBMTL)and feature-based(FBMTL)multi-source transfer learning are compared,which explained the effect of the source domain data on the forecasting accuracy in different transfer modes.The results show that combining the two-stage TrAdaBoost.R^(2) algorithm with multi-source data can reduce the CV-RMSE by 7.23%compared to a single-source domain,and the accuracy improvement is significant.At the same time,multi-source transfer learning,which is based on instance,can better supplement the integrity of the target domain data and has a higher forecasting accuracy.Overall,IBMTL tends to retain effective data associations and FBMTL shows higher forecasting stability.The findings of this study,which include the verification of real-life algorithm application and source domain availability,can serve as a theoretical reference for implementing transfer learning in load forecasting.
