Long-term results of extensive aortoiliac occlusive disease (EAIOD) treated by endovascular therapy and risk factors for loss of primary patency

Background::Although endovascular therapy has been widely used for focal aortoiliac occlusive disease(AIOD),its performance for extensive AIOD(EAIOD)is not fully *** aimed to demonstrate the long-term results of EAIOD treated by endovascular therapy and to identify the potential risk factors for the loss of primary ***::Between January 2008 and June 2018,patients with a clinical diagnosis of the 2007 TransAtlantic Inter-Society Consensus II(TASC II)C and D AIOD lesions who underwent endovascular treatment in our institution were ***,diagnosis,procedure characteristics,and follow-up information were *** analysis was used to identify the correlation between the variables and the primary patency.A multivariate logistic regression model was used to identify the independent risk factors associated with primary ***-and 10-year primary and secondary patency,as well as survival rates,were calculated by Kaplan-Meier ***::A total of 148 patients underwent endovascular treatment in our *** these,39.2%were classified as having TASC II C lesions and 60.8%as having TASC II D *** technical success rate was 88.5%.The mean follow-up time was 79.2±29.2 *** and secondary patency was 82.1%and 89.4%at 5 years,and 74.8%and 83.1%at 10 years,*** 5-year survival rate was 84.2%.Compared with patients without loss of primary patency,patients with this condition showed significant differences in age,TASC II classification,infrainguinal lesions,critical limb ischemia(CLI),and *** logistic regression analysis showed age<61 years(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]:6.47;95%CI:1.47-28.36;P=0.01),CLI(aOR:7.81;95%CI:1.92-31.89;P=0.04),and smoking(aOR:10.15;95%CI:2.79-36.90;P<0.01)were independent risk factors for the loss of primary ***::Endovascular therapy was an effective treatment for EAIOD with encouraging patency and survival ***<61 years,CLI,and smoking

Noise-induced hearing loss is the primary non-genetic factor contributing to auditory ***,there are currently no effective pharmacological interventions for patients with noise-induced hearing ***,we present evidence suggesting that the lysine-specific demethylase 1 inhibitor–tranylcypromine is an otoprotective agent that could be used to treat noise-induced hearing loss,and elucidate its underlying regulatory *** established a mouse model of permanent threshold shift hearing loss by exposing the mice to white broadband noise at a sound pressure level of 120 d B for 4 *** found that tranylcypromine treatment led to the upregulation of Sestrin2(SESN2)and activation of the autophagy markers light chain 3B and lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 1 in the cochleae of mice treated with *** noise exposure group treated with tranylcypromine showed significantly lower average auditory brainstem response hearing thresholds at click,4,8,and 16 k Hz frequencies compared with the noise exposure group treated with *** findings indicate that tranylcypromine treatment resulted in increased SESN2,light chain 3B,and lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 1 expression after noise exposure,leading to a reduction in levels of 4-hydroxynonenal and cleaved caspase-3,thereby reducing noise-induced hair cell ***,immunoblot analysis demonstrated that treatment with tranylcypromine upregulated SESN2 expression via the autophagy *** treatment also reduced the production of NOD-like receptor family pyrin domaincontaining 3(NLRP3)*** conclusion,our results showed that tranylcypromine treatment ameliorated cochlear inflammation by promoting the expression of SESN2,which induced autophagy,thereby restricting NLRP3-related inflammasome signaling,alleviating cochlear hair cell loss,and protecting hearing *** findings suggest that inhibiting lysine-specific demethylase 1 is a

Crosstalk-free multichannel sensor based on a dual-Sagnac interferometer interrogated by microwave photonic filter

A crosstalk-free multichannel sensor based on a dual-Sagnac interferometer interrogated by microwave photonic filter (MPF) is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally in this paper. The dual-Sagnac interferometer is taken as the sensing element as well as an optical spectrum slicer to implement a dual-passband MPF. Experimental results show that the proposed multichannel sensor is crosstalk-free， and the temperature sensitivity of each channel is -0.9884 MHz/℃ and -1.9302 MHz/℃， respectively. The sensing interrogation system has good linearity and stability and it is suitable for application scenarios where multiple points of temperature are required to monitor simultaneously.

Sensitivity improvement by Vernier effect in microwave photonic filter based on F-P fiber ring

A high sensitivity fiber optic temperature sensor based on Vernier effect in microwave photonic filter based on two paralleled F-P (Fabry-Perot) fiber ring is proposed and experimentally verified. Sensitivity is improved through the Vernier effect， which is caused by two parallel F-P fiber rings with approximate lengths. Temperature interrogation is achieved by monitoring the notch frequency of the superimposed frequency response curve. The temperature sensitivity of -484.514kHz/℃ is achieved in experiment， which is 57 times of the sensor without Vernier effect. The improved sensitivity and simple structure make it have wide potential applications in temperature monitoring of power systems.

Precise Object Detection Using Iterative Superpixels Grouping Method

The region completeness of object detection is very crucial to video surveillance, such as the pedestrian and vehicle identifications. However, many conventional object detection approaches cannot guarantee the object region completeness because the object detection can be influenced by the illumination variations and clustering backgrounds. In order to overcome this problem, we propose the iterative superpixels grouping （ISPG） method to extract the precise object boundary and generate the object region with high completeness after the object detection. First, by extending the superpixel segmentation method, the proposed ISPG method can improve the inaccurate segmentation problem and guarantee the region completeness on the object regions. Second, the multi- resolution superpixel-based region completeness enhancement method is proposed to extract the object region with high precision and completeness. The simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional object detection methods in terms of object completeness evaluation.

Stability of a Composite Wave of Two Separate Strong Viscous Shock Waves for 1-D Isentropic Navier-Stokes System

In this paper, the large time behavior of solutions of 1-D isentropic Navier-Stokes system is investigated. It is shown that a composite wave consisting of two viscous shock waves is stable for the Cauchy problem provided that the two waves are initially far away from each other. Moreover the strengths of two waves could be arbitrarily large.

The fretting wear performance of high-nitrogen stainless bearing steel(40Cr15Mo2VN)under lubrication conditions was ***-based grease was preparedusing MoS2 and carbon nanotubes(CNTs)as *** 52100 steel ball was used in four-ball test to evaluate the extreme pressure property and wear resistance of *** four-ball test,the grease adding 0.8 mass%MoS2 and 0.8 mass%CNTs,respectively,was chosen and used for fretting *** 52100 ball and 40Cr15Mo2VN steel disc were used as the upper and lower samples for fretting *** results showed that wear power consumption increased with the increase in both sliding velocity and contact *** initial contact stress was 2.047 GPa,the main wear mechanisms were abrasive wear and plastic deformation as the velocity increased 0.028 to 0.112 m/*** the velocity was 0.028 m/s,the main wear mechanisms changed abrasive wear to adhesion wear and finally to abrasive wear and adhesion wear as the initial contact stress increased 1.788 to 2.579 *** volume loss grew sharply becaof the changes in wear *** this condition,the volume loss growth rate can be divided into three regions according to different wear power consumption ranges corresponding to different wear mechanisms.

The advent of Network Function Virtualization(NFV)and Service Function Chains(SFCs)unleashes the power of dynamic creation of network services using Virtual Network Functions(VNFs).This is of great interest to network operators since poor service quality and resource wastage can potentially hurt their revenue in the long ***,the study shows with a set of test-bed experiments that packet loss at certain positions(i.e.,different VNFs)in an SFC can cause various degrees of resource wastage and performance degradation because of repeated upstream processing and transmission of retransmitted *** overcome this challenge,this study focuses on resource scheduling and deployment of SFCs while considering packet loss *** study developed a novel SFC packet dropping cost model and formulated an SFC scheduling problem that aims to minimize overall packet dropping cost as a Mixed-Integer linear Programming(MILP)and proved that it is *** this study,Palos is proposed as an efficient scheme in exploiting the functional characteristics of VNFs and their positions in SFCs for scheduling resources and deployment to optimize packet dropping *** experiment results show that Palos can achieve up to 42.73%improvement on packet dropping cost and up to 33.03%reduction on average SFC latency when compared with two other state-of-the-art schemes.
