BACKGROUND Over 90%of rectal cancer patients develop low anterior resection syndrome(LARS)after sphincter-preserving *** current globally recognized evaluation method has many drawbacks and its subjectivity is too strong,which hinders the research and treatment of *** To evaluate the anorectal function after colorectal cancer surgery by quantifying the index of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)defecography,and pathogenesis of *** We evaluated 34 patients using the standard LARS score,and a new LARS evaluation index was established using the dynamic images of MRI defecography to verify the LARS *** In the LARS score model,there were 10(29.41%)mild and 24(70.58%)severe cases of *** comparison of defecation rate between the two groups was 29.36±14.17%versus 46.83±18.62%(P=0.004);and MRI-rectal compliance(MRI-RC)score was 3.63±1.96 versus 7.0±3.21(P=0.001).Severe and mild LARS had significant differences using the two evaluation *** was a significant negative correlation between LARS and MRI-RC score(P<0.001),and they had a negative correlation with defecation rate(P=0.028).CONCLUSION MRI defecography and standard LARS score can both be used as an evaluation index to study the pathogenesis of LARS.

Observation of gapless corner modes of photonic crystal slabs in synthetic translation dimensions

Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of selective laser-melted PH13-8mo stainless steel

PH13-8mo stainless steel powder with high sphericity and well fluidity was prepared by the plasma rotating electrode *** formed parts with ultra-high purity were manufactured by selective laser *** tensile and impact mechanical properties of the printed parts under three heat treatment regimes were compared to those without heat *** microstructure,grain orientation and phase composition were characterized by electron-backscatter diffraction,X-ray diffraction and transmission electron *** characterization results reveal that the addition of heat treatment makes the grains enlarge,and after different heat treatments,the average grain size from 1.51μm in the printed state increases to 2.78,3.09 and 2.06μm,*** formed parts are mainly composed of martensite and retained ***,the NiAl and M23C precipitates form,which are the major strengthening phases of PH13-8mo stainless *** optimal heat treatment process is 925℃×1 h water cooling(WC)+0℃×2 h air cooling(AC)+540℃×4 h *** this heat treatment process,PH13-8mo formed parts have the optimal comprehensive mechanical properties:the tensile strength,yield strength and impact energy KU2 are 1492 MPa,1432 MPa and 63 J,*** strengthening and toughening via heat treatment are mainly attributed to dislocation strengthening,the formation of NiAl and M23Co precipitates and the change of volume fraction of the retained austenite.

Prox1 Suppresses Proliferation and Drug Resistance of Retinoblastoma Cells via Targeting Notch1

Polysaccharide of Alocasia cucullata Exerts Antitumor Effect by Regulating Bcl-2, Caspase-3 and ERK1/2 Expressions during Long-Time Administration

Objective: To study the in vitro and in vivo antitumor effects of the polysaccharide of Alocasia cucullata(PAC) and the underlying mechanism. Methods: B16F10 and 4T1 cells were cultured with PAC of 40 μg/m L, and PAC was withdrawn after 40 days of administration. The cell viability was detected by cell counting kit-8. The expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 proteins were detected by Western blot and the expressions of ERK1/2 mRNA were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR). A mouse melanoma model was established to study the effect of PAC during long-time administration. Mice were divided into 3 treatment groups: control group treated with normal saline, positive control group(LNT group) treated with lentinan at 100 mg/(kg·d), and PAC group treated with PAC at 120 mg/(kg·d). The pathological changes of tumor tissues were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The cell apoptosis of tumor tissues was detected by TUNEL staining. Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the expressions of ERK1/2, JNK1 and p38 mRNA were detected by qRT-PCR. Results: In vitro, no strong inhibitory effects of PAC were found in various tumor cells after 48 or 72 h of administration. Interestingly however, after 40 days of cultivation under PAC, an inhibitory effect on B16F10 cells was found. Correspondingly, the long-time administration of PAC led to downregulation of Bcl-2 protein(P mote apoptosis of tumor cells, and had obvious antitumor effect in tumor-bearing mice.

Insights into the mechanism of multiple Cu-doped Co Fe_(2)O_(4)nanocatalyst activated peroxymonosulfate for efficient degradation of Rhodamine B

The multiple metal catalyst as a promising nanomaterial has shown excellent activity in the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for pollutant ***,the role of special sites and in-depth understanding of the PMS activation mechanism are not fully *** this study,a Cu-doped CoFe_(2)O_(4)nanocatalyst(0.5CCF)was synthesized by a sol-gel and calcination method,and used for PMS activation to remove Rhodamine B(RhB).The results showed that the Cu doping obviously enhanced the catalytic performance of CoFe_(2)O_(4),with 99.70%of RhB removed by 0.5CCF while 74.91%in the CoFe_(2)O_(4)within 15 *** on the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis,this could be ascribed to the more low valence of Co and Fe species generated on the 0.5CCF and faster electron transfers occurred in the 0.5CCF due to the Cu *** addition,Cu doping could provide more reaction sites for the 0.5CCF to activate PMS for RhB *** metal species and the surface hydroxyl were the reaction sites of PMS activation,and the surface hydroxyl played an important role in surface-bound reactive species *** the PMS activation,the Cu not only activated PMS to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),but also regenerated Co^(2+)and Fe^(2+)to accelerate the PMS *** non-radical of ^(1)O_(2)was the main ROS with a 99.35%of contribution rate,and the SO_(5)^(·–)self-reaction was its major *** study provides a new insight to enhance the PMS activation performance of multiple metal catalysts by Cu doping in wastewater treatment.

Four major studies(Checkmate577,Keynote-590,Checkmate649 and Attraction-4)of locally advanced esophageal cancer published in 2020 have established the importance of immunotherapy,represented by anti-programmed death protein(PD)-1 in postoperative adjuvant treatment and advanced first-line treatment of locally advanced or advanced esophageal cancer and esophagogastric junction cancer,from the aspects of proof of concept,long-term survival,overall survival rate and progression-free *** unresectable or inoperable nonmetastatic esophageal cancer,concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy is the standard treatment recommended by various *** its curative effect is still not ideal,it is necessary to explore radical radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the future,and it is considered to be promising to combine them with immunotherapeutic drugs such as *** paper mainly discusses how to combine radical concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy with immunotherapy for unresectable local advanced esophageal cancer.

Effect of Low-temperature Imidization on Properties and Aggregation Structures of Polyimide Films with Different Rigidity
