Crust-derived felsic magmatism in the Emeishan large igneous Province:New evidence from zircon U-Pb-Hf-O isotope from the Yangtze Block,China

Numerous intrusive bodies of mafic–ultramafic to felsic compositions are exposed in association with volcanic rocks in the Late Permian Emeishan large igneous province(ELIP),southwestern *** of the granitic rocks in the ELIP were derived by differentiation of basaltic magmas with a mantle connection,and crustal magmas have rarely been *** we investigate a suite of mafic dykes and Ⅰ-type granites that yield zircon U-Pb emplacement ages of 259.9±1.2 Ma and 259.3±1.3 Ma,*** εHf(t)values of zircon from the DZ mafic dyke are–0.3 to 9.4,and their corresponding TDM1 values are in the range of 919–523 *** εHf(t)values of zircon from the DSC Ⅰ-type granite are between–1 and 3,with TDM1 values showing a range of 938–782 *** also present zircon O isotope data on crust-derived felsic intrusions from the ELIP for the first *** δ18O values of zircon from the DSC Ⅰ-type granite ranges from 4.87‰to 7.5‰.The field,petrologic,geochemical and isotopic data from our study lead to the following salient findings.(i)The geochronological study of mafic and felsic intrusive rocks in the ELIP shows that the ages of mafic and felsic magmatism are similar.(ii)The DZ mafic dyke and high-Ti basalts have the same source,i.e.,the Emeishan mantle *** mafic dyke formed from magmas sourced at the transitional depth between from garnet-lherzolite and spinel-lherzolite,with low degree partial melting(<10%).(iii)The Hf-O isotope data suggest that the DSC Ⅰ-type granite was formed by partial melting of Neoproterozoic juvenile crust and was contaminated by minor volumes of chemically weathered ancient crustal material.(iv)The heat source leading to the formation of the crust-derived felsic rocks in of the ELIP is considered to be mafic–ultramafic magmas generated by a mantle plume,which partially melted the overlying crust,generating the felsic magma.

Effect of MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3) and Mg0-MgAl_(2)0_(4)-based refractories on refractory-steel interface reaction and cleanliness of pipeline steel

The interaction of MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based and MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based refractories with X70 molten steel was studied by immersion experiments at 1560℃.The effects of immersion time(30 and 60 min)on the contents of total oxygen(TO),Al,Nb,Si,Mn,and Cr as well as the composition,number density,and size distribution of inclusions in the molten steel were *** influence of the penetration and erosion degree of the molten steel to the refractory on the steel-refractory interface layer was *** results show that,at 1560℃,the MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory can better control the contents of TO and the composition of molten steel compared with the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based *** TO content is only 16×10^(-4) wt.%in the molten steel after reacted with the Mg0-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory at the end point of refining,4 accounting for 11.5%of that reacted with the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based refractory(139×10^(-4) wt.%).The number density of inclusions is only 14 mm^(-2),and the average size ofinclusions is only 1.31μm,with thelargest proportion of inclusions in 1-2μm(70%).The Al_(2)O_(3)-MnS-CaO complex inclusions in the original steel changed to complex inclusions dominated by Cr-Nb-Mn-S-O and ***_(2)O_(3),corresponding to the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based and MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractories,*** ***_(2)O_(3) layer was formed at the reaction interface between MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory and molten steel,which is helpful to restrict the erosion of refractories and the pollution of molten *** damage mechanism of the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based refractory is mainly permeation and chemical reaction,while the damage of the MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory is mainlyscouring erosion.

Structure regulating of metal clusters in carbonized metallic organic frameworks for high-efficient microwave absorption via tuning interaction strength between metals and ligands

Carbonized metallic organic frameworks(CMOF)have been attracting attention in microwave absorption(MA)research area because of their diverse structures,tunable compositions,and rich ***,structure regulation on metal clusters in CMOF is achieved by tuning the interaction strength between metals and ligands to enhance microwave absorption *** to relatively weak interaction among copper cations and ligands,copper nanoclusters(CuNC)can be uniformly formed and embedded within the cobalt/zinc(Co/Zn)***,copper cations are added to the Co/Zn bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs).Secondly,the CMOF composite particles with CuNCs(CuNCs/CoZn-CMOF)were developed by a pyrolysis *** CuNCs/CoZn-CMOF with an appropriate amount of CuNCs can harmonize both dielectric and magnetic *** a result,the minimum reflection loss(RLmin)reaches–45.1 dB at a matching thickness of 2.30 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)is 8.80 GHz at a thickness of 3.10 *** broadband response to electromagnetic waves is attributed to interfacial polarization at CuNCs surface and heterogeneous interfaces,impedance matching and multiple scattering of electromagnetic *** study provides a feasible method to develop CMOF microwave absorption materials with high EAB values.

An efficient molten-salt electro-deoxidation strategy enabling fast-kinetics and long-life aluminum-selenium batteries

Aluminum-selenium(Al-Se)batteries have been considered as one of the most promising energy storage systems owing to their high capacity,energy density,and cost effectiveness,but Se falls challenges in addressing the shuttle effect of soluble intermediate product and sluggish reaction kinetics in the solid-solid conversion process during ***,we propose an unprecedented design concept for fabricating uniform Se/C hollow microspheres with controllable morphologies through low-temperature electro-deoxidation in neutral NaCl-AlCl_(3) molten salt *** Se/C hollow microspheres are demonstrated to hold a favorable hollow structure for hosting Se,which can not only suppress the dissolution of soluble intermediate products into the electrolyte,thereby maintaining the structural integrity and maximizing Se utilization of the active material,but also promote the electrical/ionic conductivity,thus facilitating the rapid reaction kinetics during ***,the as-prepared Se/C hollow microspheres exhibit a high reversible capacity of 720.1 mAh g^(−1)at 500 mA g^(−1).Even at the high current density of 1000 mA g^(−1),Se/C delivers a high discharge capacity of 564.0 mAh g^(−1),long-term stability over 1100 cycles and high Coulombic efficiency of 98.6%.This present work provides valuable insights into short-process recovery of advanced Se-containingmaterials and value-added utilization for energy storage.

Quantum phase transition of the Jaynes-Cummings model

Herein,we propose an experimentally feasible scheme to show the quantum phase transition of the Jaynes-Cummings(JC)model by modulating the transition frequency of a two-level system in a quantum Rabi model with strong *** tuning the modulation frequency and amplitude,the ratio of the effective coupling strength of the rotating terms to the effective cavity(atomic transition)frequency can enter the deep-strong coupling regime,while the counter-rotating terms can be ***,a deep-strong JC model is *** ratio of the coupling strength to resonance frequencies in the deep-strong JC model is two orders of magnitude larger than the corresponding ratio in the original quantum Rabi *** scheme can be employed in atom-cavity resonance and off-resonance cases,and it is valid over a broad *** nonzero average cavity photons of the ground state indicate the emergence of a quantum phase ***,we demonstrate the dependence of the phase diagram on the atom-cavity detuning and modulation *** the parameters used in our scheme are within the reach of current experimental *** scheme provides a new mechanism for investigating the critical phenomena of finite-sized systems without requiring classical field limits,thereby opening a door for studying fundamental quantum phenomena occurring in the ultrastrong and even deep-strong coupling regimes.

Structured-light(SL)based 3D sensors have been widely used in many *** SL is the most widely deployed among all SL sensors due to its light weight,compact size,fast video rate,and low *** transmitter(known as the dot projector)consists of a randomly patterned vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser(VCSEL)array multiplicated by a diffractive optical element(DOE)with a fixed repeated *** that the separation of any two speckles is only one known and fixed number(albeit random),there are no other known scales to cal-ibrate or ***,typical SL sensors require extensive in-factory calibrations,and the depth resolution is limited to 1 mm at-60 cm *** this paper,to the best of our knowledge,we propose a novel dot projector and a new addressable SL(ASL)3D sensor by using a regularly spaced,individually addressable VCSEL array,multiplicated by a metasurface-DOE(MDOE)into a random pattern of the *** turning on or off the VCSELs in the array provides multiple known distances between neighboring speckles,which is used as a“built-in caliper”to achieve higher accuracy of *** as a precise“vernier caliper,”the addressable VCSEL array enables fine control over speckle positions and high detection *** experimentally dem-onstrated that the proposed method can result in sub-hundred-micron level *** new concept opens new possibilities for applications such as 3D computation,facial recognition,and wearable devices.

Friction Characteristics Between Marine Clay and Construction Materials

Structure-soil interface friction characteristics is of importance to investigate the interaction between engineering structures and soils,especially for offshore *** interface friction behavior between marine clay and structural materials with different roughness was studied in this paper by using 3D optical scanning tests,a modified direct shear device and numerical *** between the surface roughness of structures,water content and interface friction angle were presented by model *** increase of water contents decreased the interface friction *** interfaces with different roughness,the interface friction angles will be smaller than that of the soil when the water content exceeds a certain *** roughness of the interface and the water content of the soil are mutually coupled to influence the coefficient of friction(COF).This paper proposed a Finite Element Method(FEM)to simulate the interface direct shear tests of structures with different *** surface models with different roughness are established based on the structure data obtained by 3D *** Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian(CEL)approach was employed to analyse soils sheared by irregular *** interface behavior for interfaces with different roughness under cyclic shear stresses was analyzed by FEM.

Dislocation density-me diate d creep ageing behavior of an Al-Cu-Li alloy

Creep aging is well-known to be a time-dependent,coupled process of deformation and precipitation strengthening for age-hardening *** existing mechanisms are mainly attributed to those interac-tions between atomic diffusion and dislocation ***,an understanding of the relationship between dislocation density and a special multistage creep behavior,i.e.,double steady creep feature,is still far *** we investigate the effect of various dislocation density levels on such an abnormal multistage creep of an Al-Cu-Li *** find that the increased dislocation densities enable an apparent time decrease(from 6.2 h to 0.8 h)of their first steadyⅡ-*** yield strength of post-aged sam-ples increases from 425.0 MPa to 580.0 MPa while the corresponding elongation decreases from 12.3%to 7.3%for the creep-aged samples#1 to#*** results also reveal that a great difference in dislocation configuration,tailored by various density levels,results in varying creep processes of theⅡ-*** stage is closely related to the nucleation and early growth of T_(1)*** number densities(maximum:2.9×10^(19)m^(-3))and the average length(maximum:21.3 nm)of T_(1)precipitates are much smaller than those of the stable peak-aged T_(1)phases,suggesting that creepⅡ-stage of all three creep-aged samples is dominant by the nucleation and initial growth of those T_(1)*** study provides valuable insights into the dislocation density-mediated creep deformation of an Al-Cu-Li alloy.
