The continuous-variable （CV） entanglement between two mesoscopic Josephson junctions is studied and the time-dependent characteristic function in Wigner representation for the Josephson junction subsystem driven by a singlemode thermal field is analytically obtained. It is found that an initial lowest energy state of the junction subsystem can evolve into a two-mode entangled Gaussian state through the interaction with the thermal radiation field. Furthermore, we investigate the influence of the temperature on the entanglement of the junctions and find that the CV entanglement of the two junctions shows the critical behavior with respect to the temperature.

A new genetic factor for root gravitropism in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Root gravitropism is one of the important factors to determine root architecture. To understand the mechanism underlying root gravitropism, we isolated a rice （Xiushui63） mutant defective in root gravitropism, designated as glsl. Vertical sections of root caps revealed that glsl mutant displayed normal distribution of amyloplast in the columella cells compared with the wild type. The glsl mutant was less sensitive to 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid （2,4-D） and ct-naphthaleneacetic acid （NAA） than the wild type. Genetic analysis indicated that the phenotype ofglsl mutant was caused by a single recessive mutation, which is mapped in a 255-kb region between RM16253 and CAPS1 on the short arm of chromosome 4.

HapIII of TaSAP1-A1, a Positively Selected Haplotype in Wheat Breeding

Stress-associated protein （SAP） has functions in maintaining plant cell elongation, embryo development and response to abiotic stresses. TaSAP1-A1, one of the Triticum aestivum SAP1 （TaSAP1） members located on wheat chromosome 7A was isolated for polymorphism analysis. HaplII of TaSAP1-A1 was found significantly associated with thousand-grain weight （TGW） in multiple environments. In this study, HaplII also made a positive contribution to TGW in Population 2. The distribution of TaSAP1-A1 HapIII was tracked among varieties released in different years and geographical environments of China. The frequency of HapIII showed an increasing trend during the breeding process in two different populations. The ItapIII was gradually selected and applied from 6.36% in landraces to 13.50% in modem varieties. These results exhibited that TaSAP1-A1 HapIII was positively selected during wheat breeding, which is beneficial for grain-yield improvement. The preferred HapIIl was initially selected and applied in the higher latitude areas of China in accord with the long day season and longer grain filling stage in these areas. Moreover, the frequency of HaplII in recent modem varieties was still quite low （19.29-26.67%）. It indicated a high application potential of TaSAP1-A 1 HapIII for improving grain yield in wheat breeding.

The hierarchical self-assembly(HSA) strategy widely utilized in biological systems has been applied in artificial systems to orchestrate small building blocks into complex functional architectures. The non-interfering interactions glue various building blocks together and produce new species with attractive properties. Herein, we functionalized NHC-based assemblies with orthogonal host–guest interaction to fabricate metal-carbene based supramolecular polymer gel. A series of unique crown etherappended cylinder-like trinuclear AuIhexacarbene assemblies [Au_(3)(L)_(2)](PF_(6))_(3)(L=D1–D4, A1–A4) were synthesized from the corresponding trisimidazolium salts H_(3)-L(PF_(6))_(3)(L=D1–D4, A1–A4) in which the N-wingtip of the imidazole moieties were substituted with three identical crown ether groups of different sizes(B15C5, B18C6, B21C7, DB24C8). The gold carbene assembly is able to complex six ammonium salts without disrupting the underlying metal-carbene cylinders. In addition, the supramolecular polymer metallogel featuring a multiple-responsiveness can be formed by using [Au_(3)(A_(4))_(2)](PF_(6))_(3) appended with DB24C8 as the core and bisammonium salt as the cross-linker. The case of introducing orthogonal interaction to NHC moiety by N-wingtip substitution demonstrates the feasibility and the power of such strategy to expand the NHC-based supramolecular system and endow them with novel properties.

Parameters of chlorophyll fluorescence kinetics （PCFKs） under drought stress condition are generally used to characterize instincts for dehydration tolerance in wheat （Triticum aestivum L.）. Therefore, it is important to map quantitative trait loci （QTLs） for PCFKs in wheat genetic improvement for drought tolerance. A doubled haploid （DH） population with 150 lines, derived from a cross between two common wheat varieties, Hanxuan 10 and Lumai 14, was used to analyze the correlation between PCFKs and chlorophyll content （CHIC） and to map QTLs at the grainfilling stage under conditions of both rainfed （drought stress, DS） and well-watered （WW）, respectively. QTLs for these traits were detected by QTLMapper version 1.0 based on the composite Interval mapping method of the mixed-linear model. The results showed a very significant positive correlation between Fv, Fm, Fv/Fm and Fv/Fo. The correlation coefficients were generally higher under WW than under DS. Also, there was a significant or a highly significant positive correlation between Fv, Fm, Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo and CHIC. The correlation coefficients were higher in the DS group than the WW group. A total of 14 additive QTLs （nine QTLs detected under DS and five QTLs under WW） and 25 pairs of eplstatlc QTLs （15 pairs detected under DS and 10 pairs under WW） for PCFKs were mapped on chromosomes 6A, 7A, 1B, 3B, 4D and 7D. The contributions of additive QTLs for PCFKs to phenotype variation were from 8.40% to 72.72%. Four additive QTLs （two QTLs detected under DS and WW apiece） controlling Chic were mapped on chromosomes 1A, 5A and 7A. The contributions of these QTLs for ChIC to phenotype variation were from 7.27% to 11.68%. Several QTL clusters were detected on chromosomes 1B, 7A and 7D, but no shared chromosomal regions for them were identified under different water regimes, indicating that these QTLs performed different expression patterns under rainfed and well-watered conditions.

An assimilation data set based on the GFDL MOM3 model and the NODC XBT data set is used to examine the circulation in the western tropical Pacific and its seasonal variations. The assimilated and observed velocities and transports of the mean circulation agree well. Transports of the North Equatorial Current (NEC), Mindanao Current (MC), North Equatorial Countercurrent (NECC) west of 140°E and Kuroshio origin estimated with the assimilation data display the seasonal cycles, roughly strong in boreal spring and weak in autumn, with a little phase difference. The NECC transport also has a semi-annual fluctuation resulting from the phase lag between seasonal cycles of two tropical gyres’ recirculations. Strong in summer during the southeast monsoon period, the seasonal cycle of the Indonesian throughflow (ITF) is somewhat different from those of its upstreams, the MC and New Guinea Coastal Current (NGCC), implying the monsoon’s impact on it.

H-type zeolites（ HY, Hβ, and HM） were synthesized and characterized by XRD, NH3-TPD, and Py-IR. Selectively catalytic alkylation of naphthalene with n-hexanol to hexyl-naphthalene over the zeolites was carried out. The experimental results show that the catalytic activities of the zeolites are mainly determined by their acid properties and pore structures. The larger the pore diameter is, the higher the catalytic activity is. NH3-TPD profiles show that Hβ and HM have lower acid strengths than HY. HY has both the highest activity and highest selectivity for the hexylnaphthalene. Higher reaction temperatures and longer reaction time are beneficial to the production of β-hexyl-naphthalene over the HY zeolite.

Agile intelligent manufacturing is one of the new manufacturing paradigms that adapt to the fierce globalizing market competition and meet the survival needs of the enterprises, in which the management and control of the production system have surpassed the scope of individual enterprise and embodied some new features including complexity, dynamicity, distributivity, and compatibility. The agile intelligent manufacturing paradigm calls for a production scheduling system that can support the cooperation among various production sectors, the distribution of various resources to achieve rational organization, scheduling and management of production activities. This paper uses multi-agents technology to build an agile intelligent manufacturing-oriented production scheduling system. Using the hybrid modeling method, the resources and functions of production system are encapsulated, and the agent-based production system model is established. A production scheduling-oriented multi-agents architecture is constructed and a multi-agents reference model is given in this paper.

Laguerre geometry of surfaces in R^3 is given in the book of Blaschke, and has been studied by Musso and Nicolodi, Palmer, Li and Wang and other authors. In this paper we study Laguerre minimal surface in 3-dimensional Euclidean space R^3. We show that any Laguerre minimal surface in R^3 can be constructed by using at most two holomorphic functions. We show also that any Laguerre minimal surface in R^3 with constant Laguerre curvature is Laguerre equivalent to a surface with vanishing mean curvature in the 3-dimensional degenerate space R0^3.
