Significant progress has been made in the prevention,control,and elimination of human parasitic diseases in China in the past 60 ***,parasitic diseases of poverty remain major causes of morbidity and mortality,and inflict enormous economic costs on *** this article,we review the prevalence rates,geographical distributions,epidemic characteristics,risk factors,and clinical manifestations of parasitic diseases of poverty listed in the first issue of the journal Infectious Diseases of Poverty on 25 October *** also address the challenges facing control of parasitic diseases of poverty and provide suggestions for better control.

研究目的:隧道作为一种重要的地下空间结构体,在施工过程中需要经常检测其超挖与欠挖状况,分析评价隧道施工质量与隧道围岩稳定性。传统基于全站仪或断面仪的检测方法效率低,基于地面激光扫描仪进行隧道的超欠挖检测,检测效率高,成果精度满足规范要求。本文提出一种基于激光点云的隧道超欠挖检测算法,实现隧道的超欠挖自动检测。研究结论:(1)利用三维激光点云数据进行隧道超欠挖检测,不仅效率高,而且精度高;(2)基于KD tree树形结构对离散点云进行组织管理,采用半径搜索与矩形分割算法,实现断面点云快速分割;(3)基于多边形相交算法的超欠挖面积统计,可以适应多种隧道类型的超欠挖检测;(4)采用激光点云进行隧道的超欠挖检测,其效率高、结果全面详实,可以应用于隧道施工阶段的超欠挖检测。

亚热带土壤铬元素的高光谱响应和反演模型

高光谱遥感技术已成为当前遥感领域的前沿技术，因其高分辨率的特点，可利用地物反射光谱特征定量反演地物的物理化学性质。目前土壤环境质量愈来愈受到关注，土壤重金属含量与土壤环境质量安全密切相关，以往土壤高光谱遥感技术研究多注重于土壤有机成分如土壤碳氮的光谱反演模型，对土壤重金属含量的高光谱反演研究普遍较少。土壤重金属污染已经成为影响土壤质量安全的关键因素，对土壤重金属尤其是污染元素普查是当务之急。传统土壤重金属的测试方法要求条件较高，测试周期较长，试图建立土壤高光谱与土壤铬元素（ICP-MS测定）含量之间的定量预测模型，以实现土壤铬元素的快速准确预测。采集福州市土壤样品135个，对土壤样品在350～2500 nm的光谱反射率进行倒数、对数、微分等六种变换，筛选出对土壤总铬含量敏感的光谱波段，最后获得福州土壤铬元素高光谱反演优化模型。研究结果表明：亚热带红壤总铬的敏感光谱波段为：可见光520～530 nm和近红外1440～1450，2010～2020，2230～2240 nm；亚热带地区土壤总铬-高光谱反演的优化模型为：y＝120．768e^-7．037x（相关系数R为0．568，均方根误差为0．619μg·g^-1，检验相关系数R为0．484，均方根误差为1．426μg·g^-1），该模型可以用于福州地区土壤全铬的光谱快速监测。

Seismic wavefield modeling is important for improving seismic data processing and interpretation. Calculations of wavefield propagation are sometimes not stable when forward modeling of seismic wave uses large time steps for long times. Based on the Hamiltonian expression of the acoustic wave equation, we propose a structure-preserving method for seismic wavefield modeling by applying the symplectic finite-difference method on time grids and the Fourier finite-difference method on space grids to solve the acoustic wave equation. The proposed method is called the symplectic Fourier finite-difference （symplectic FFD） method, and offers high computational accuracy and improves the computational stability. Using acoustic approximation, we extend the method to anisotropic media. We discuss the calculations in the symplectic FFD method for seismic wavefield modeling of isotropic and anisotropic media, and use the BP salt model and BP TTI model to test the proposed method. The numerical examples suggest that the proposed method can be used in seismic modeling of strongly variable velocities, offering high computational accuracy and low numerical dispersion. The symplectic FFD method overcomes the residual qSV wave of seismic modeling in anisotropic media and maintains the stability of the wavefield propagation for large time steps.

Objective: There are no comprehensive studies on survival outcomes and optimal treatment protocols for cervical esophageal cancer(CEC), due to its rare clinical prevalence. Our objective was to determine the relationship between pathological characteristics, treatment protocols, and survival outcomes in Chinese CEC ***: A total of 500 Chinese CEC patients were selected from our 500,000 esophageal and gastric cardia carcinoma database(1973–2018). There were two main groups: patients treated with surgery, and patients receiving non-surgical treatments(radiotherapy, radiochemotherapy, and chemotherapy). The Chi-square test and Kaplan–Meier method were used to compare the continuous variables and ***: Among the 500 CEC patients, 278(55.6%) were male, and the median age was 60.9 ± 9.4 years. A total of 496 patients(99.2%) were diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. In 171(34.2%) patients who received surgery, 22(12.9%) had undergone laryngectomy. In 322(64.4%) patients who received non-surgical treatments, 245(76.1%) received radiotherapy. Stratified survival analysis showed that only T stage was related with survival outcomes for CEC patients in the surgical group, and the outcomes between laryngectomy and non-laryngectomy patients were similar. It was noteworthy that the 5-year survival rate was similar in CEC patients among the different groups treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or radiochemotherapy(P = 0.244). Conclusions: The CEC patients had similar survival outcomes after curative esophagectomy and radiotherapy, including those with or without total laryngectomy. These findings suggest that radiotherapy could be the initial choice for treatment of Chinese CEC patients.

Creating nitrogen-vacancy ensembles in diamond for coupling with flux qubit

Hybrid quantum system of negatively charged nitrogen–vacancy（NV^-） centers in diamond and superconducting qubits provide the possibility to extend the performances of both systems. In this work, we numerically simulate the coupling strength between NV^-ensembles and superconducting flux qubits and obtain a lower bound of 1016cm^（-3） for NV^-concentration to achieve a sufficiently strong coupling of 10 MHz when the gap between NV^-ensemble and flux qubit is 0. Moreover, we create NV^-ensembles in different types of diamonds by14^（N＋）and12（C＋）ion implantation, electron irradiation, and high temperature annealing. We obtain an NV^-concentration of 1.05 × 1016cm^（-3） in the diamond with1-ppm nitrogen impurity, which is expected to have a long coherence time for the low nitrogen impurity concentration. This shows a step toward performance improvement of flux qubit-NV^-hybrid system.

AIM to determine whether diabetes mellitus(DM) affects prognosis/recurrence after liver transplantation(Lt) for hepatitis B virus(HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS A retrospective study was conducted between January 2000 and August 2013 on 1631 patients with HBV-related HCC who underwent Lt with antiviral prophylaxis. Patient data were obtained from the China Liver transplant Registry(https://***/). to compare the outcomes and tumor recurrence in the HBV-related HCC patients with or without DM, statistical analyses were conducted using χ2 tests, Mann-Whitney tests, the Kaplan-Meier method, log-rank tests and multivariate step-wise Cox regression analysis. RESULTS Univariate analysis of 1631 patients who underwent Lt found overall 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates of 79%, 73% and 71% respectively in the DM patients, and 84%, 78% and 76% in the non-DM patients respectively. Overall survival rate differences after Lt between the two groups were significant(P = 0.041), but recurrence-free survival rates were not(P = 0.096). By stratified analysis, the overall survival rates in DM patients for age > 50 years(P = 0.002), the presence of vascular invasion(P = 0.096), tumors ≤ 3 cm(P = 0.047), two to three tumor nodules(P = 0.007), Child-Pugh grade B(P = 0.018), and preLt alanine aminotransferase levels between 40 and 80 IU/L(P = 0.017) were significantly lower than in non-DM patients. Additionally, serum α-fetoprotein level > 2000 ng/m L(P = 0.052) was associated with a significant survival difference trend between DM and non-DM patients. Multivariate analysis showed that the presence of DM(P < 0.001, HR = 1.591; 95%CI: 1.239-2.041) was an independent predictor associated with poor survival after Lt. CONCLUSION HBV-related HCC patients with DM have decreased long-term overall survival and poor Lt outcomes. Prevention strategies for HCC patients with DM are recommended.
