LSM14B coordinates protein component expression in the P-body and controls oocyte maturation

The generation of mature and healthy oocytes is the most critical event in the entire female reproductive process,and the mechanisms regulating this process remain to be ***,we demonstrate that Smith-like(LSM)family member 14B(LSM14B)regulates oocyte maturation,and the loss of LSM14B in mouse ovaries leads to abnormal oocyte MII arrest and female ***,we find the aberrant transcriptional activation,indicated by abnormal non-surrounded nucleolus and surrounded nucleolus oocyte proportions,and abnormal chromosome assembly and segregation in Lsm14b-deficient mouse *** global transcriptome analysis suggests that many transcripts involved in cytoplasmic processing body(P-body)function are altered in Lsm14b-deficient mouse *** of Lsm14b results in the expression and/or localization changes of P-body components(such as LSM14A,DCP1A,and 4E-T).Notably,DDX6,a key component of the P-body,is downregulated and accumulates in the nuclei in Lsm14b-deficient mouse *** together,our data suggest that LSM14B links mouse oocyte maturation to female fertility through the regulation of the P-body.

To investigate the stratosphere-troposphere exchange(STE)process induced by the gravity waves(GWs)caused by Typhoon Molave(2020)in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere,we analyzed the ERA5 reanalysis data provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and the CMA Tropical Cyclone Best Track *** also adopted the mesoscale forecast model Weather Research and Forecasting model V4.3 for numerical *** of the previous studies were about typhoon-induced STE and typhoon-induced GWs,while our research focused on the STE caused by typhoon-induced gravity *** analysis shows that most of the time,the gravity wave signal of Typhoon Molave appeared below the *** was stronger on the east side of the typhoon center(10°-20°N,110°-120°E)than on the west side,suggesting an eastward tilted structure with height *** the GWs in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere region on the west side of the typhoon center broke up,it produced strong turbulence,resulting in stratosphere-troposphere *** this time,the average potential vorticity vertical flux increased with the average ozone mass mixing *** gravity wave events and STE process simulated by the WRF model were basically consistent with the results of ERA5 reanalysis data,but the time of gravity wave breaking was *** study indicates that after the breaking of the GWs induced by typhoons,turbulent mixing will also be generated,and thus the STE.

0 INTRODUCTION Resonance frequency is an important indicator for structure health monitoring,which can be exacerbated by various natural forces,such as rainfall,earthquakes,and hurricanes(Wu et al.,2021;Shan et al.,2020;Gentile et al.,2016;Moser and Moaveni,2011).Clinton et al.(2006)found that changes in environmental factors could significantly affect the resonance frequency of the Millikan Library;and that compared with temperature,humidity and strong wind have greater impacts on resonance ***,some studies have confirmed the effects of environmental factors through mathematical statistical analyses,including Xia et al.(2006),Yuen and Kuok(2010),and Guéguen et al.(2017).Other studies(e.g.,Astorga et al.,2018)revealed a building’s self-healing ability,where the building’s resonance frequency drifts due to earthquake events,environmental factors,or random forced vibrations could gradually return to its original level,but the recovery time of frequency drift could be considerably different with respect to different environmental factors.

Background Infantile epileptic spasms syndrome(IESS)is a serious disease in infants,and it usually evolves to other epilepsy types or syndromes,especially refractory or super-refractory focal *** adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)is one of the first-line and effective treatment plans for IESS,it has serious side effects and is not sufficiently *** A retrospective study of the clinical outcomes of ACTH combined with magnesium sulfate(MgSO4)therapy for IESS in two hospital centers was *** major outcome of the single and combined treatment was evaluated by changes in seizure frequency and improvements in hypsarrhythmia electroencephalography(EEG).To reduce the confounding bias between the two groups,we used SPSS for the propensity score matching(PSM)*** We initially recruited 1205 IESS patients from two Chinese hospitals and treated them with ACTH combined with MgSO4 and ACTH *** 1005 patients were enrolled in the treatment(ACTH combined with MgSO4:744,ACTH:261),and both treatment plans had a more than 55%response ***,compared to patients treated with ACTH alone,those patients treated with ACTH combined with MgSO4 had better performance in terms of the seizure frequency and hypsarrhythmia *** PSM,the two groups also showed significant differences in responder rate[70.8%(95%confidence interval,CI)=66.7%–74.8%)vs.53.8%(95%CI=47.4%–60.2%),P3 months(P<0.05).In addition,the overall incidence of adverse reactions in the ACTH combined with MgSO4 group was much lower than that in the ACTH group(31.4%vs.63.1%,P<0.001).During the treatment,only

The topological magnetoelectric effect （TME） is a hallmark response of the topological field theory,which provides a paradigm shift in the study of emergent topological ***,its direct observation is yet to be realized due to the demanding magnetic configuration required to gap all surface ***,we theoretically propose that axion insulators with a simple ferromagnetic configuration,such as the MnBi2Te4/（Bi2Te3）nfamily,provide an ideal playground to realize the *** the designed triangular prism geometry,all the surface states are magnetically *** a vertical electric field,the surface Hall currents give rise to a nearly half-quantized orbital moment,accompanied by a gapless chiral hinge mode circulating in ***,the orbital magnetization from the two topological origins can be easily distinguished by reversing the electric *** work paves the way for direct observation of the TME in realistic axion-insulator materials.
