Nephroprotective activity of Solanum xanthocarpum fruit extract against gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity and renal dysfunction in experimental rodents

Objective:To evaluate nephroprotective potential of Solarium xanthocarpum(***) fruit extract(SXE) against gentamicin(GM) induced nephrotoxicity) and renal dysfunction. Methods:Twenty-four Wistar rats were divided into four groups(n=6).Control rats that received normal saline(i.p.) and 0.5%carboxymethyl cellulose(p.o.) per day lor 8 *** was induced in rats by intraperitoneal administration of GM(100 mg/kg/d for 8 d) and were treated with SXE(200 and 400 mg/kg/d(p.o.) for 8 d).Plasma and urine urea and creatinine,kidney weight,urine output,blood urea nitrogen,renal enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants and lipid peroxidation was evaluated along with histopathological investigation in various experimental groupsof ***:It was observed that the GM treatment induced significant elevation(P<0.001) in plasma and urine urea,creatinine,kidney weight,blood urea nitrogen, renal lipid peroxidation along with significant decrement(P<0.001) in urine output,renal enzymatic and non-enzymatic *** 200 and 400 mg/kg treatment to GM treated rats recorded significant decrement(up to P<0.001) in plasma and mine urea and creatinine, renal lipid peroxidation along with significanl increment(up to P<0.001) in renal enzymatic and non-enzvmatic *** obsenatioiis of kidney tissues too correlated with the biochemical ***:These finding powerfully supports that S,xanthocarpum fruit extract acts in the kidney as a potent scavenger of free radicals to prevent the toxic effects of GM both in the biochemical and histopathological parameters and thus validates its elhnomedicinal use.

Objective:To investigate the hepatoprotective potential of Solonum xanthocarpum（Solanaceae）（***） in experimental rats to validate its traditional ***:50%ethanolic fruit extract of ***（SXE,100.200 or 400 mg/kg hods weight） was administered daily for 14davs in experimental *** injury was induced chemically,by CCl4 administration （1 mL/kg i.p.）.The hepatoprotective activity was assessed using various biochemical parameters like aspartate aminotransferase（AST）,alanine aminotransferase（ALT）.Serum alkaline phosphatise （SALP） and total ***,in vivo antioxidant activities as lipid peroxidation（LPO）, reduced glutathione（GSH）.superoxide dismutase（SOD） and calalase（CAT） were screened along with histopathological ***:Obtained results demonstrated that the treatment with SXE significantly（P<0.05- <0.001） and dose-dcpendcntly prevented chemically induced increase in serum levels of hepatic *** significantly（up to P<0.001） reduced the lipid peroxidation in the liver tissue and restored activities of defence antioxidant enzymes GSH,SOU and catalasc towards normal *** of the liver tissue showed that SXE attenuated the hepatocellular necrosis and led to reduction of inflammatory cells inflltration. Conclusions:The results of this study strongly indicate the protective effect of SXE against acute liver injun which may he attributed to its hepatoprotective activity,and there by scientifically support its traditional use.

Objective:To assess the hepatoprotective effect of Solanum xanthocarpum(S. xanthocarpum) fruit extract against antitubercular drug-induced liver toxicity in experimental ***:Ethanolic(50%) fruit extract ofS. xanthocarpum(100, 200 and 400 mg/kg bw) was administered daily for 35 days in experimental animals. Liver toxicity was induced by combination of three antitubercular drugs [isoniazid(I) 7.5 mg/kg, rifampicin(R) 10 mg/kg and pyrazinamide(P) 35 mg/kg] given orally as suspension for 35 days in rats. The hepatoprotective activity was assessed using various biochemical parameters like aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT), alkaline phosphatise(ALP), total bilirubin(TBL), albumin(ALB), total protein(TP), lactate dehydroginase(LDH), and serum cholesterol(CHL). Meanwhile,in vivoantioxidant activities as lipid peroxidation(LPO), reduced glutathione(GSH), superoxide dismutase(SOD) and catalase(CAT) were measured in rat liver homogenate. The biochemical observations were supplemented by histopathological ***:The results demonstrated that treatment ***(P<0.05-P<0.001) and dose-dependently prevented drug induced increase in serum levels of hepatic enzymes. Furthermore,S. xanthocarpumsignificantly(up toP<0.001) reduced the LPO in the liver tissue and restored activities of defence antioxidant enzymes GSH, SOD and CAT towards normal levels. Histopathology of the liver tissue showed that S. xanthocarpumattenuated the hepatocellular necrosis and led to reduction in inflammatory cells ***:The results of this study strongly indicate the protective effect of S. xanthocarpumagainst liver injury which may be attributed to its hepatoprotective activity, and thereby scientifically support its traditional use.

Development of STEP AP224 Extractor for Interfacing Feature Based CAPP to STEP-NC(AP238)

Manufacturing features represent area of interest on the machinable surface of a part, which can provide a unique set of removable volumes from part. Feature description in standard for exchange of product(STEP) AP224 is an efficient neutral format for the development of feature based process planning. Process planning information of features can be converted to numerical control(NC)code to have complete manufacturing information of part. STEP-NC code provides an efficient manufacturing information model compared to G-M codes. In this work, an interface is developed for extraction of feature information available in AP224(AIM) format and the ruled-based approach is used to select different process planning parameters. A graphical user interface(GUI) is developed for the interface for displaying features information as represented in AP224 file. Furthermore, the interface generates STEP-NC code in AP238 format. The developed interface has three modules. 1) Module I: Reading interface for STEP AP224 file and development of GUI. 2)Module II: Selection of feature based process planning parameters. 3) Module III: Writing interface for STEP-NC(AP238). The developed interface has been implemented in Java through Java standard data access interface(JSDAITM). The generated STEP-NC AP238 code for the test part has been successfully simulated on STEP-NC Machine TM, an AP238 simulator. This article also provides an in-depth view of application interpreted model(AIM) representation format of STEP for AP224 and AP238.

STEP-based Feature Recognition System for B-spline Surface Features

The geometrical and topological information of 3D computer aided design （CAD） models should be represented as a neut- ral format file to exchange the data between different CAD systems. Exchange of 3D CAD model data implies that the companies must exchange complete information about their products, all the way from design, manufacturing to inspection and shipping. This informa- tion should be available to each relevant partner over the entire life cycle of the product. This led to the development of an international standard organization （ISO） neutral format file named as standard for the exchange of product model data （STEP）. It has been ob- served from the literature, the feature recognition systems developed were identified as planar, cylindrical, conical and to some extent spherical and toroidal surfaces. The advanced surface features such as B-spline and its subtypes are not identified. Therefore, in this work, a STEP-based feature recognition system is developed to recognize t--spline surface features and its sub-types from the 3D CAD model represented in AP203 neutral file format. The developed feature recognition system is implemented in Java programming language and the product model data represented in STEP AP203 format is interpreted through Java standard data access interface （JSDAI）. The developed system could recognize B-spline surface features such as B-Spline surface with knots, quasi uniform surface, uniform surface, rational surface and Bezier surface. The application of extracted B-spline surface features information is discussed with reference to the toolpath generation for STEP-NC （STEP AP238）.

The Role of Vanadia for the Selective Oxidation of Benzyl Alcohol over Heteropolymolybdate Supported on Alumina

A series of 12-molybdophosphoric acid (MPA) supported on V2O5 dispersed γ-Al2O3 catalysts with different vanadia loadings were prepared by impregnation and characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction, temperature-programmed reduction, in situ laser Raman spectroscopy, UV-Vis diffused reflectance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and temperature-programmed desorption of NH3 techniques. Their catalytic activities were evaluated for the vapor phase aerobic oxidation of benzyl alcohol. The catalysts exhibited high catalytic activity and the conversion of benzyl alcohol depended on the vanadia content while the catalyst with 15 wt% V2O5 content showed optimum activity. The characterization results suggest the presence of well-dispersed V2O5 and partially disintegrated Keggin ions of MPA on the support. In situ Raman studies showed a reduced Mo(IV) species when the catalysts were calcined at high temperatures. The high oxidation activity of the catalysts is related to the synergistic effect between MPA and V2O5.

Objective:To evaluate bepato protective and antioxidant capacity of Melochia corchorifolia （***）aerial part ***:Antioxidant activitywas evaluated by using three free radicals（Superoxide,Hydroxyl and DPPH） and hepatoprotective activity was assessed against CCl4 induced liver intoxication in ***:The extracts produced concentration dependent percentage protection in decrease of serum enzymes and percentage inhibition on free *** all extracts methanol extract showed better activity with percentage protection of SGOT（78.98%）,SGPT（79.65%）,ALP（82.48%） and total bilirubin（80.0%）levels against CCl4 liver intoxication and also methanolic extract showed better activity with IC50 values on superoxide. hydroxyl and DPPH radicals were 127μg.240μg and 179μ***:From the results obtained during the study it could be concluded that *** aerial part extracts have antioxidant and hepaloprotective *** study is necessary for isolation and characterization of bioactive molecules which are responsible for hepatoprotective and antioxidant activity.

High accuracy offering attention mechanisms based deep learning approach using CNN/bi-LSTM for sentiment analysis

Purpose-Neural network(NN)-based deep learning(DL)approach is considered for sentiment analysis(SA)by incorporating convolutional neural network(CNN),bi-directional long short-term memory(Bi-LSTM)and attention *** the conventional supervised machine learning natural language processing algorithms,the authors have used unsupervised deep learning ***/methodology/approach-The method presented for sentiment analysis is designed using CNN,Bi-LSTM and the attention ***2vec word embedding is used for natural language processing(NLP).The discussed approach is designed for sentence-level SA which consists of one embedding layer,two convolutional layers with max-pooling,oneLSTMlayer and two fully connected(FC)*** the system training time is 30 ***-The method performance is analyzed using metrics like precision,recall,F1 score,and *** is helped to reduce the complexity and Bi-LSTM is helped to process the long sequence input ***/value-The attention mechanism is adopted to decide the significance of every hidden state and give a weighted sum of all the features fed as input.

Structural,optical and mechanical properties of ternary CaO-CaF_(2)-P_(2)O_(5) glasses

The ternary phosphate glass series(50-x)CaO-xCaF_(2)-50P_(2)O_(5)(x=0-20 mol%)were synthesized using melt quench ***,optical and mechanical properties were investigated with increase in CaF_(2) *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),synthesized glasses were confirmed to be amorphous in *** of oxygen ions by fluorine ions increased the values of *** in refractive index due to the low polarizability of fluorine ions in the glass matrix was *** Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectra,the slight variation in v_(as)(PO_(2))band position and intensity could be attributed to replacement of fluorine ions for oxygen ions in phosphate glass *** data were well supported by Raman *** band gap energy increased from 3.44 eV to 3.64 eV with increase in CaF_(2) content,and Urbach energy decreased suggesting that the fluorine ions reduced the tail energy states in the band gap compared to the oxygen *** parameters such as Vickers hardness,fracture toughness and brittleness were evaluated from the Vickers micro indentation *** in Vickers hardness,decrease in fracture toughness and increase in brittleness were observed with increase in CaF_(2) content.

Objective:To investigation the chemopreventive potential of Fumaria indica（***） extract（FIE） on N-nitrosodiethylamine and CCl4-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in Wislar ***:The experimental animals were divided into six groups（n=6）.Hepatocellular carcinoma was induced by single intraperitoneal injection of N-nitrosodiethylamine（NDEA） in normal saline at a dose of 200 mg/kg body weight followed by weekly subcutaneous injections of CCl4（3 mL/kg/week） for 6 weeks,as the promoter of carcinogenic *** administration of the carcinogen,200 and 400 mg/kg of FIE were administered orally once a day throughout the *** the end of 20 weeks,the body weight,liver weight and relative liver weight were *** percentage of nodule incidence and liver cancer markers such as aspartate transaminase（AST）,alanine transaminase（ALT）,alkaline phosphatase（ALP）,γ-glutamyl transferase（γ-GT）,total bilirubin level（TBL）,α-feto protein（AFP） and carcinoembryonic antigen were estimated along with histopathological investigation in experimental groups of rats. Results:Obtained results demonstrated that the cotreatment with FIE significantly prevented the decrease of the body weight and also increased in relative liver weight caused by NDEA. The treatment with FIE significantly reduced the nodule incidence and nodule multiplicity in the rats after NDEA *** levels of liver cancer markers such as AST,ALT,ALP,γ-glutamyl transferase,TBL,AFP and carcinoembryonic antigen were substantially increased by NDEA ***,FIE treatment significantly reduced the liver injury and restored the entire liver cancer *** observations of liver tissues too correlated with the biochemical ***:These finding powerfully supports that *** exert chemopreventive effect by suppressing the tumor burden and restoring the activities of hepatic cancer marker enzymes on NDEA and CCl4-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in Wis
