This editorial assesses the prognostic value of preoperative inflammatory and nutritional biomarkers in patients undergoing surgical resection for pancreatic *** et al evaluated the ability of seven biomarkers to predict postoperative recovery and long-term *** biomarkers were albumin-to-globulin ratio,prognostic nutritional index(PNI),systemic immune-inflammation index,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio,nutritional risk index,and geriatric nutritional risk *** PNI was found to be a strong predictor of both overall and recurrence-free survival,underscoring its clinical relevance in managing patients with pancreatic cancer.

It has been reported that neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)impair wound healing in diabetes and that inhibiting NET generation(NETosis)improves wound healing in diabetic ***-releasing hormone(GnRH)agonists are associated with a greater risk of ***,the role of GnRH in diabetic wound healing is *** determined whether GnRH-promoted NETosis and induced more severe and delayed diabetic wound healing.A mouse model of diabetes was established using five injections with *** with blood glucose levels>250 mg/dL were then used in the *** agonist treatment induced delayed wound healing and increased NETosis at the skin wounds of diabetic *** contrast,GnRH antagonist treatment inhibited GnRH agonist-induced delayed wound *** expression of NETosis markers PAD4 and citrullinated histone H3 were increased in the GnRH-treated diabetic skin wounds in diabetic mice and *** vitro experiments also showed that neutrophils expressed a GnRH receptor and that GnRH agonist treatment increased NETosis markers and promoted phorbol myristate acetate(PMA)-induced NETosis in mouse and human ***,GnRH antagonist treatment suppressed the expression of NETosis markers and PMA-induced NETosis,which were increased by GnRH *** results indicated that GnRH-promoted NETosis and that increased NETosis induced delayed wound healing in diabetic skin ***,inhibition of GnRH might be a novel treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.

Post-traumatic movement disorder is one of the sequelae of traumatic brain injury. The dentatorubrothalamic tract(DRTT) is reported to be involved in the control of movement. Therefore, injury of the DRTT can be accompanied by abnormal movements, including ataxia, tremor, or dystonia. We investigated DRTT injuries in 27 patients who showed post-traumatic tremor in at least one of four extremities following mild traumatic brain injury. We classified DRTT injuries based on diffusion tensor tractography parameters and configuration: type A: the DRTT showed narrowing, type B: the DRTT showed partial tearing, and type C: the DRTT showed discontinuation. Fractional anisotropy and fiber number of the DRTT were significantly decreased in patients compared with the healthy controls. Based on our DRTT injury classification, among the 54 hemispheres of the 27 patients, type A injury occurred in 22 hemispheres(40.7%) of 17 patients, type B injury was present in 15 hemispheres(27.7%) of 10 patients, and type C injury was observed in 8 hemispheres(14.8%) of 6 patients. Our results suggest that diffusion tensor tractography-based evaluation of the DRTT would be useful when determining cause of post-traumatic tremor in patients with mild traumatic brain injury. The study protocol was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Yeungnam University hospital(YUMC-2018-09-007) on September 5, 2018.

The human brain is known to contain a maximum of eight cholinergic nuclei： the basal forebrain region： the medial septal nucleus （Ch 1）, the vertical nucleus of the diagonal band （Ch 2）, the horizontal limb of the diago- nal band （Ch 3）, and the nucleus basalis of Meynert （Ch 4）; the brainstem： the pedunculopontine nucleus （Ch 5）, the laterodorsal tegmental nucleus （Ch 6）, and the para- bigeminal nucleus （Ch 8）; and the thalamus： the medial habenular nucleus （Ch 7）（Nieuwenhuys et al., 2008; Naidich and Duvernoy, 2009）. The cingulum is the neu- ral tract extending from the orbitofrontal cortex to the medial temporal lobe （Mufson and Pandya, 1984）. The cingulum plays an important role in memory because it is a passage of the medial cholinergic pathway, which pro- vides cholinergic innervations to the cerebral cortex after originating from Ch 1 and Ch 2 as well as Ch 4 （mainly）（Selden et al., 1998; Nieuwenhuys et al., 2008; hong and lang, 2010）.

Gastrectomy is the main treatment option for gastric cancer patients. Laparoscopic approach has become popular as an alternative to open method during the last decades, and clinical trials have revealed safety and feasibility in the short-and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic gastrectomy. The aim of this review is to summarize the results of prospective clinical trials and propose future perspectives for laparoscopic gastrectomy.

The fornix,which connects the medial temporal lobe and the medial diencephalon,is involved in episodic memory as an important part of the Papez *** mechanisms of recovery of an injured fornix revealed by diffusion tensor tractography in the five studies are summarized as follows：1） recovery through the nerve tract from an injured fornical crus to the medial temporal lobe via the normal pathway of the fornical crus;2）recovery through the nerve tract originating from an ipsi-lesional fornical body connected to the ipsi-lesional medial temporal lobe via the splenium of the corpus callosum;3） recovery through the nerve tract from the ipsi-lesional fornical body extending to the contra-lesional medial temporal lobe via the splenium of the corpus callosum;4） recovery through the nerve tract originating from the ipsi-lesional fornical column connected to the ipsi-lesional medial temporal lobe;and 5） recovery through the nerve tract originating from the contra-lesional fornical column connected to the ipsi-lesional medial temporal lobe via the contra-lesional medial temporal lobe and the splenium of the corpus *** diffusion tensor tractography studies on mechanisms of recovery of injured fornical crus appeared to provide useful information for clinicians caring for patients with brain injury,however,studies on this topic are still in the beginning stages.

Angular contact ball bearings have been widely used in machine tool spindles,and the bearing preload plays an important role in the performance of the *** order to solve the problems of the traditional optimal preload prediction method limited by actual conditions and uncertainties,a roller bearing preload test method based on the improved D-S evidence theorymulti-sensor fusion method was ***,a novel controllable preload system is proposed and ***,multiple sensors are employed to collect data on the bearing parameters during preload ***,a multisensor fusion algorithm is used to make predictions,and a neural network is used to optimize the fitting of the preload *** limitations of conventional preload testing methods are identified,and the integration of complementary information frommultiple sensors is used to achieve accurate predictions,offering valuable insights into the optimal preload *** results demonstrate that the multi-sensor fusion approach outperforms traditional methods in accurately measuring the optimal preload for rolling bearings.

Purification of Astaxanthin from Laminaria japonica by Ionic Liquid-based Monolithic Cartridge

An effective and accurate method was developed for the extraction of astaxanthin from Laminariajapo- nica with subsequent separation by ionic liquid-based monolithic cartridge. The optimized extraction conditions in- cluding extraction solvent（ethanol）, extraction time（90 min） and ultrasonic power（75 W） were obtained by systema- tical investigation. Chromatographic analysis was performed on a C18 column with ultraviolet（UV） detection at 476 nm, and a solution consisting of methanol/acetonitrile/H2O/dichloromethane（83：6：6：5, volume ratio） was used as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.7 mL/min. After ionic liquid-based monolithic solid phase extraction, 17.82 μg/g as- taxanthin was obtained from Laminaria japonica. This ionic liquid-based monolithic cartridge exhibits high affinity and selectivity for astaxanthin, and it can be potentially used as the stationary phase of high performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）.
