Timely crop acreage and distribution information are the basic data which drive many agriculture related *** identifying crop types based on remote sensing,methods using only a single image type have significant *** research that integrates fine and coarser spatial resolution images,using techniques such as unmixing methods,regression models,and others,usually results in coarse resolution abundance without sufficient detail within pixels,and limited attention has been paid to the spatial relationship between the pixels from these two kinds of *** we propose a new solution to identify winter wheat by integrating spectral and temporal information derived from multi-resolution remote sensing data and determine the spatial distribution of sub-pixels within the coarse resolution ***,the membership of pixels which belong to winter wheat is calculated using a 25-m resolution resampled Landsat Thematic Mapper(TM)image based on the Bayesian ***,the winter wheat abundance(acreage fraction in a pixel)is assessed by using a multiple regression model based on the unique temporal chan.e features from moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS)time series ***,winter wheat is identified by the proposed Abundance-Membership(AM)model based on the spatial relationship between the two types of ***,winter wheat is identified by comparing the spatially corresponding 10×10 membership pixels of each abundance *** other words,this method takes advantage of the relative size of membership in a local space,rather than the absolute size in the entire study *** method is tested in the major agricultural area of Yiluo Basin,China,and the results show that acreage accuracy(Aa)is 93.01%and sampling accuracy(As)is 91.40%.Confusion matrix shows that overall accuracy(OA)is 91.4%and the kappa coefficient(Kappa)is *** values are significantly improved compared to the traditional Maximum Likeli

Implementation of payments for watershed services(PWS) has been regarded as a promising approach to coordinating the interests of upstream and downstream ecosystem services stakeholders. There is growing concern about whether PWS programs have achieved their original environmental goals of improving water quality and quantity, as well as the ancillary objective of increasing the welfare of local people. We start with an overview of PWS schemes and focus on their particularity and implementation mechan.sms in China. We proceed to review 62 active PWS cases and examine their environmental performance in detail. The resulting findings show that PWS schemes have been able to reduce water pollution to some extent by establishing collaborative upstream/downstream watershed management policies, thereby improving water quality and quantity, as well as by making government officials more responsible for water resource management. In addition, their continued effectiveness in light of present challenges such as water-quality data availability is discussed. Chinese PWS schemes and their implementation mechan.sms also provide information useful in monitoring environmental outcomes and guiding future designs of PWS programs in other regions.

Dual Space Analyzing Based on Symmetry Properties for Phonons of Si Quantum Dot

Phonon modes in spherical Si quantum dots (QDs) with up to 7.9 nm in diameter are calculated by using the projection operators of the group theory into valence force field model. The phonons of dot modes in each of five irreducible representations (symmetries) are classified by using a dual space analysis method. It is found that the bulk-like modes with localization radius much smaller than the dot's radius have clearly pronounced bulk specific-κdefinite bulk band (one in six modes). In Si dots of all sizes, each specific bulk-like dot mode has specific *** dot modes and bulk-like X-derived TA and LA dot modes red-shift in frequency with decreasing dot size. There is almost not LO/TO mixing for bulk-like modes. As for the surface-like modes localized at the periphery of the dot,their eigenmodes have not a dominant bulk specific-κ point parentage or a dominant BZ parentage around some special point. They are a superposition of many bulk bands with κ from all over the bulk BZ. They have much significant mode mixing than the bulk-like phonons. The classification of dot modes based on the symmetry of group theory will bring advantageous to the discussion of Ramam spectrum, electron-phonon interaction and other phonon-assisted effects in QDs.

A novel elevator door driven by tubular permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (TPMLSM) is presented. This TPMLSM applies axial magnet array topology of the secondary rod, air-cored armature windings and slotless structure of the forcer to improve the stability of the thrust. The influence of two major dimensions, the pitch and radius of the permanent magnet (PM), on magnetic field was studied and the best values were given by the finite element analysis (FEA). The magnetic field, back EMF and thrust of the motor were analyzed and the PM size was optimized to reduce the harmonic components of the magnetic field and improve the performance of the motor. Predicted results are validated by the experiment. It is shown that the performance of the motor and the novel elevator door system is satisfying.

High-resolution deep-learning-based remote-sensing imagery analysis has been widely used in land-use and crop-classification mapping. However, the influence of composite feature bands, including complex feature indices arising from different sensors on the backbone, patch size, and predictions in transferable deep models require further testing. The experiments were conducted in six sites in Henan province from2019 to 2021. This study sought to enable the transfer of classification models across regions and years for Sentinel-2 A(10-m resolution) and Gaofen.PMS(2-m resolution) imagery. With feature selection and up-sampling of small samples, the performance of UNet++ architecture on five backbones and four patch sizes was examined. Joint loss, mean Intersection over Union(m Io U), and epoch time were analyzed, and the optimal backbone and patch size for both sensors were Timm-Reg Net Y-320 and 256 × 256, respectively. The overall accuracy and Fscores of the Sentinel-2 A predictions ranged from 96.86% to 97.72%and 71.29% to 80.75%, respectively, compared to 75.34%–97.72% and 54.89%–73.25% for the Gaofen.predictions. The accuracies of each site indicated that patch size exerted a greater influence on model performance than the backbone. The feature-selection-based predictions with UNet++ architecture and upsampling of minor classes demonstrated the capabilities of deep-learning generalization for classifying complex ground objects, offering improved performance compared to the UNet, Deeplab V3+, Random Forest, and Object-Oriented Classification models. In addition to the overall accuracy, confusion matrices,precision, recall, and F1 scores should be evaluated for minor land-cover types. This study contributes to large-scale, dynamic, and near-real-time land-use and crop mapping by integrating deep learning and multi-source remote-sensing imagery.

The long-period stacking ordered phases(LPSOs) in Mg-Ni-Y system have been attracting great interest as effective strengthening components because of their unique structural characteristics and deformation ***,the phase relationships in LPSOs are complicated and unclear,which restricts the design of advanced magnesium-based *** aim of the present work is to experimentally determine the phase equilibria relationships focusing on LPSOs and establish the thermodynamic description for Mg-Ni-Y *** types of LPSOs,that is,14H,12R,18R and 10H,are confirmed through equilibrated alloys and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HR-TEM).The formation enthalpies of LPSOs(14H,12R,18R and 10H) are calculated based on density functional theories(DFT) calculations.A new ternary compound,termed as τ phase,is observed for the first time which is likely to be the distorted structure of 12R as determined from the TEM image which shows a 12-layer closed packing plane distance of 3.252nm and a shear angle of 83.2°between(0002) and(10■0) *** on the determined phase equilibria relationship,the Mg-Ni-Y system is assessed and a selfconsistent description is obtained where the LPSOs are modeled as the stoichiometric *** comparison between the calculation result and experimental data suggests the accuracy of the present thermodynamic database in the Mg-rich corner.
