In a commentary paper in the Journal of Sport and health Science,world-renowned physical activity researchers,Barbara Ainsworth and James Sallis,discussed the opportunities arising from the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games for increasing physical activity in youth.1 Moreover,a clarion call from the Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity has been made concerning the physical activity legacy that could arise from the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brisbane,Australia(see:ASPA vision for Olympic legacy-ASPA(***)).

We see significant progress in the preparation of nanoreactors that host incompatible catalysts for cascade reactions,yet their preparation typically requires specialized,multistep synthetic ***,we utilize core-satellite microparticles as a versatile strategy for the site isolation of catalysts in core and *** core-satellite clusters are prepared by mixing specific amounts of negatively charged core microparticles(e.g.,acid catalyst)with positively charged satellites(e.g.,base catalyst).Core and satellite are made from incompatible polymers allowing solvent-annealing of clusters into different morphologies(raspberry,patchy,and core-shell)while maintaining site isolation of the *** core-satellite microparticles show very good catalytic activity in a model one-pot acid/base cascade reaction with subtle differences regarding particle *** microparticles thereby demonstrated the highest reaction rate and yield,likely due to an alleviated diffusion pathway for the ***,we show that this colloidal engineering strategy can be extended to multifunctional microparticles suitable to perform multistep cascade reactions in one pot.

We established a new method to produce the spherical polyurethane beads which have narrower distribution of particle size. This narrower distribution was achieved by the polyurethane prepolymer which contains ketimine as a blocked chain-extending agent. Firstly, the prepolymer is dispersed into the aqueous solution containing surfactant. Secondaly, water comes into the inside of prepolymer as oil phase. Thirdly, ketimine is hydrolyzed to amine, and amine reacts with prepolymer immediately to be *** spherical polyurethane beads are very suitable for automotive interior parts especially for instrument panel cover sheet producing under the slush molding method, because of good process ability, excellent durability to the sunlight and mechanical properties at low temperature. see Fig. 1 ,Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 (Page 820).

The geological events happened since the beginning of the building of theraised coral reefs may be summarized as follows: 1. The period of the formation of raised coral reefs seems to coincidewith the last interglacial stage, at least in Asia. This will be termed the"Tateyama Reef Stage." In this period it was not the climate of the wholeworld, but the location of latitude that was different from that of *** of places in Asia were about 5 degrees nearer to the equator than theyare now. The climate on the same latitude and the same altitude was the samethen as now, but that of the same locality was different. The distribution ofcoral reefs at that time surpassed its recent limit-North Ryukyu Islands-andreached as far as Tateyama, though near which they were more or less incompletein development. 2. Following this Tateyama reef stage, polar drift took place and Asiamoved to its present position on latitude. Owing to the retarding adjustment ofthe earth’s crust to its rotation, regression of the sea took place in this part ofthe globe. Thus the sea floor along the western Pacific coasts was up-lifted tosuch an extent (see annexed map) as to be subject to aeolian weathering, whilehigh mountains on the continent penetrated above the former snow-line to bearnumerous glaciers. This is the so-called "Tali glacial stage." The climate of thisstage in Asia was not much different from that of present as a whole, though temperature at the same locality decreased as the altitude increased. The amountof altitude increased probably equals or approximates to the amount of loweringof the snow-line at that time, or to the depth of the drowned valleys, namely,1,200 meters on lat. 27° N (Yulungshan), 1,300--1,400 meters on lat. 29°--31° N (Minya Gongkar, Kangting and Taining in Sikang), 1,400--1,500ineters on lat. 34° N. (Kii Troughs in Japanese Islands and Chagra in LittleTibet), 1,700 meters on lat. 43°30′ N (Bogdo Mountains in Sinkiang), 1,600--1,700 meters on lat. 51°

Exteriorized colon anastomosis for unprepared bowel: An alternative to routine colostomy

AIM: To see the possibility of avoiding routine colostomy in patients presenting with unprepared bowel. METhODS: The cohort is composed of 103 patients, of these, 86 patients presented as emergencies (self- inflected and iatrogenic colon injuries, stab wounds and blast injury of the colon, volvulus sigmoid, obstructing left colon cancer, and strangulated ventral hernia). Another 17 patients were managed electively for other colon pathologies. During laparotomy, the involved segment was resected and the two ends of the colon were brought out via a separate colostomy wound. One layer of interrupted 3/0 silk was used for colon anastomosis. The exteriorized segment was immediately covered with a colostomy bag. Between the 5th and 7th postoperative day, the colon was easily dropped into the peritoneal cavity. The defect in the abdominal wall was closed with interrupted nonabsorbable suture. The skin was left open for secondary closure. RESULTS: The mean hospital stay (± SD) was 11.5 ± 2.6 d (8-20 d). The exteriorized colon was successfully dropped back into the peritoneal cavity in all patients except two. One developed a leak from oesophago- jejunostomy and from the exteriorized colon. She subsequently died of sepsis and multiple organ failure (MOF). In a second patient the colon proximal to the exteriorized anastomosis prolapsed and developed severe serositis, an elective ileo-colic anastomosis (to the left colon) was successfully performed. CONCLUSION: Exteriorized colon anastomosis is simple, avoids the inconvenience of colostomy and can be an alternative to routine colostomy. It is suitable where colostomy is socially unacceptable or the facilities and care is not available.
