Ballistic design and testing of a composite armour reinforced by CNTs suitable for armoured veh.cles

Th.s paper is investigating th. use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for th. protection of ligh. armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military veh.cles(MAV), and th. interaction between th. composite materials and h.gh.performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front h.brid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and th. metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adh.sive technology. Th. proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground veh.cles;h.wever, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. Th. design of th. protection system, including material selection and th.ckness, was elaborated depending on th. performance requirements of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design ph.losoph. wh.ch is analysed with.th. specifications. Th. backplate of th.s new composite is a h.brid material of Metal Matrix Composite(MMC) reinforced with.carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with.th. use of powder metallurgy technique. Th. composite backplate material was morph.logically, mechanically and chemically analysed. Results sh.w th.t all plates are presenting h.gh.mechanical properties and ballistic characteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for th. total composite armour systems. After th. ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 sh.wed th. best protection results, compared with.th. oth.r plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with.th. projectile being unable to fully penetrate th. composite plate.

Enh.ncing Log Anomaly Detection with.Semantic Embedding and Integrated Neural Network Innovations

System logs, serving as a pivotal data source for performance monitoring and anomaly detection, play an indispensable role in assuring service stability and reliability. Despite th.s, th. majority of existing log-based anomaly detection meth.dologies predominantly depend on th. sequence or quantity attributes of logs, utilizing solely a single Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and its variant sequence models for detection. Th.se approaches h.ve not th.rough.y exploited th. semantic information embedded in logs, exh.bit limited adaptability to novel logs, and a single model struggles to fully unearth.th. potential features with.n th. log sequence. Addressing th.se challenges, th.s article proposes a h.brid architecture based on a multiscale convolutional neural network, efficient channel attention and mogrifier gated recurrent unit networks (LogCEM), wh.ch amalgamates multiple neural network technologies. Capitalizing on th. superior performance of robustly optimized BERT approach (RoBERTa) in th. realm of natural language processing, we employ RoBERTa to extract th. original word vectors from each word in th. log template. In conjunction with.th. enh.nced Smooth.Inverse Frequency (SIF) algorith., we generate more precise log sentence vectors, th.reby achieving an in-depth.representation of log semantics. Subsequently, th.se log vector sequences are fed into a h.brid neural network, wh.ch fuses 1D Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network (MSCNN), Efficient channel Attention Mechanism (ECA), and Mogrifier Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). Th.s amalgamation enables th. model to concurrently capture th. local and global dependencies of th. log sequence and autonomously learn th. significance of different log sequences, th.reby markedly enh.ncing th. efficacy of log anomaly detection. Data processing meth.d for aerial testing of rotating accelerometer gravity gradiometer

A novel meth.d for noise removal from th. rotating accelerometer gravity gradiometer (MAGG) is presented. It introduces a h.ad-to-tail data expansion technique based on th. zero-ph.se filtering principle. A scheme for determining band-pass filter parameters based on signal-to-noise ratio gain, smooth.ess index, and cross-correlation coefficient is designed using th. chebysh.v optimal consistent approximation th.ory. Additionally, a wavelet denoising evaluation function is constructed, with.th. dmey wavelet basis function identified as most effective for processing gravity gradient data. Th. results of h.rd-in-th.-loop simulation and prototype experiments sh.w th.t th. proposed processing meth.d h.s sh.wn a 14% improvement in th. measurement variance of gravity gradient signals, and th. measurement accuracy h.s reached with.n 4E, compared to oth.r commonly used meth.ds, wh.ch verifies th.t th. proposed meth.d effectively removes noise from th. gradient signals, improved gravity gradiometry accuracy, and h.s certain technical insigh.s for h.gh.precision airborne gravity gradiometry. © 2024 Editorial Department of Journal of chinese Inertial Technology. h.D-YOLO: A New Vision-Based h.lmet Wearing Detection Meth.d

It is crucial to ensure workers wear safety h.lmets wh.n working at a workplace with.a h.gh.risk of safety accidents, such as construction sites and mine tunnels. Alth.ugh.existing meth.ds can achieve h.lmet detection in images, th.ir accuracy and speed still need improvements since complex, cluttered, and large-scale scenes of real workplaces cause server occlusion, illumination change, scale variation, and perspective distortion. So, a new safety h.lmet-wearing detection meth.d based on deep learning is proposed. Firstly, a new multi-scale contextual aggregation module is proposed to aggregate multi-scale feature information globally and h.gh.igh. th. details of concerned objects in th. backbone part of th. deep neural network. Secondly, a new detection block combining th. dilate convolution and attention mechanism is proposed and introduced into th. prediction part. Th.s block can effectively extract deep features wh.le retaining information on fine-grained details, such as edges and small objects. Moreover, some newly emerged modules are incorporated into th. proposed network to improve safety h.lmet-wearing detection performance furth.r. Extensive experiments on open dataset validate th. proposed meth.d. It reaches better performance on h.lmet-wearing detection and even outperforms th. state-of-th.-art meth.d. To be more specific, th. mAP increases by 3.4%, and th. speed increases from 17 to 33 fps in comparison with.th. baseline, You Only Look Once (YOLO) version 5X, and th. mean average precision increases by 1.0% and th. speed increases by 7 fps in comparison with.th. YOLO version 7. Th. generalization ability and portability experiment results sh.w th.t th. proposed improvements could serve as a springboard for deep neural network design to improve object detection performance in complex scenarios. Th. efficient copolymerization of olefin with.polar monomers using nickel-based catalysts presents a longstanding challenge. In th.s contribution, th.ee ph.sph.ne-benzocyclone ligands and corresponding neutral nickel catalysts(Ni1: Ar = Ph.Ni2: Ar = 2-(C_(6)h.(5))C_(6)h.(4);Ni3: Ar = 2-[2',6'-(Me O)_(2)-C_(6)h.]C_(6)h.(4)) were prepared and applied for th. eth.lene polymerization and copolymerization with.polar monomers with.ut any cocatalyst. Th. bulky substituent groups in complexes Ni2 and Ni3 contributed to h.gh.catalytic activities(up to 7.24×10^(6) and 9.04×10^(6)g·mol Ni^(-1)·h.(-1), respectively), and produced h.gh.molecular-weigh. polyeth.lene(Mw up to 545.7 k Da). Complex Ni3 exh.bited h.gh.activities for eth.lene polymerization at th. level of 10^(6) g·mol Ni^(-1)·h.(-1) across a wide range from 30 ℃ to 120 ℃, exh.biting excellent h.gh.temperature tolerance. Th.se nickel complexes were also effectively employed in th. copolymerization of eth.lene with.meth.l acrylate, eth.l acrylate, butyl acrylate and lauryl acrylate, producing copolymers with.h.gh.molecular weigh.s(Mw up to 80.5 k Da) and h.gh.polar monomer incorporation(up to 8.2 mol%). Microstructure analyses revealed th.t th. introduction of large sterically h.ndered substituents facilitated th. incorporation of polar functional units into th. polymer backbone. Th.s study demonstrates th. potential of th.se nickel-based catalysts for efficient copolymerization of olefin with.polar monomers.

Non-alcoh.lic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), characterized by h.patic steatosis, is a common metabolic liver disease worldwide. Currently, satisfactory drugs for NAFLD treatment remain lacking. Obesity and diabetes are th. leading causes of NAFLD, and compounds with.anti-obesity and anti-diabetic activities are considered suitable candidates for treating NAFLD. In th.s study, biochemical and h.stological assays revealed th.t a natural lignan schisanh.nol (SAL) effectively decreased lipid accumulation and improved h.patic steatosis in free fatty acid (FFA)-treated h.pG2 cells and h.gh.fat diet (h.D)-induced NAFLD mice. Furth.r, molecular analyses, microRNA (miRNA)-seq, and bioinformatics analyses revealed th.t SAL may improve NAFLD by targeting th. miR-802/adenosine monoph.sph.te-activated protein kinase (AMPK) path.ay. Liver-specific overexpression of miR-802 in NAFLD mice significantly impaired SAL-mediated liver protection and decreased th. protein levels of ph.sph.rylated (p)-AMPK and PRKAB1. Dual-luciferase assay analysis furth.r confirmed th.t miR-802 inh.bits h.patic AMPK expression by binding to th. 3' untranslated region of mouse Prkab1 or h.man PRKAA1. Additionally, genetic silencing of PRKAA1 blocked SAL-induced AMPK path.ay activation in FFA-treated h.pG2 cells. IMTNet: Improved Multi-Task Copy-Move Forgery Detection Network with.Feature Decoupling and Multi-Feature Pyramid

Copy-Move Forgery Detection (CMFD) is a technique th.t is designed to identify image tampering and locate suspicious areas. h.wever, th. practicality of th. CMFD is impeded by th. scarcity of datasets, inadequate quality and quantity, and a narrow range of applicable tasks. Th.se limitations significantly restrict th. capacity and applicability of CMFD. To overcome th. limitations of existing meth.ds, a novel solution called IMTNet is proposed for CMFD by employing a feature decoupling approach. Firstly, th.s study formulates th. objective task and network relationsh.p as an optimization problem using transfer learning. Furth.rmore, it th.rough.y discusses and analyzes th. relationsh.p between CMFD and deep network architecture by employing ResNet-50 during th. optimization solving ph.se. Secondly, a quantitative comparison between fine-tuning and feature decoupling is conducted to evaluate th. degree of similarity between th. image classification and CMFD domains by th. enh.nced ResNet-50. Finally, suspicious regions are localized using a feature pyramid network with.bottom-up path.augmentation. Experimental results demonstrate th.t IMTNet achieves faster convergence, sh.rter training times, and favorable generalization performance compared to existing meth.ds.
