Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a prevalent and aggressive liver *** interplay between bile acids(BAs)and the gut microbiota has emerged as a critical factor in HCC development and *** normal conditions,BA metabolism is tightly regulated through a bidirectional interplay between gut microorganisms and *** gut microbiota plays a critical role in BA metabolism,and BAs are endogenous signaling molecules that help maintain liver and intestinal *** note,dysbiotic changes in the gut microbiota during pathogenesis and cancer development can disrupt BA homeostasis,thereby leading to liver inflammation and fibrosis,and ultimately contributing to HCC ***,understanding the intricate interplay between BAs and the gut microbiota is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms underlying *** this review,we comprehensively explore the roles and functions of BA metabolism,with a focus on the interactions between BAs and gut microorganisms in ***,therapeutic strategies targeting BA metabolism and the gut microbiota are discussed,including the use of BA agonists/antagonists,probiotic/prebiotic and dietary interventions,fecal microbiota transplantation,and engineered *** summary,understanding the complex BA-microbiota crosstalk can provide valuable insights into HCC development and facilitate the development of innovative therapeutic approaches for liver malignancy.

Biological nitrification inhibitors(BNIs)are released from plant roots and inhibit the nitrification activity of microorganisms in soils,reducing NO_(3)^(‒)leaching and N2O emissions,and increasing nitrogenuse efficiency(NUE).Several recent studies have focused on the identification of new BNIs,yet little is known about the genetic loci that govern their biosynthesis and *** applied a combined transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis to investigate possible biosynthetic pathways and transporters involved in the biosynthesis and release of BNI 1,9-decanediol(1,9-D),which was previously identified in rice root *** results linked four fatty acids,icosapentaenoic acid,linoleate,norlinolenic acid,and polyhydroxy-α,ω-divarboxylic acid,with 1,9-D biosynthesis and three transporter families,namely the ATP-binding cassette protein family,the multidrug and toxic compound extrusion family,and the major facilitator superfamily,with 1,9-D release from roots into the soil *** finding provided candidates for further work on the genes implicated in the biosynthesis and secretion of 1,9-D and pinpoint genetic loci for crop breeding to improve NUE by enhancing 1,9-D secretion,with the potential to reduce NO_(3)^(‒)leaching and N2O emissions from agricultural soils.

Due to a complex geological and biotic history,the Isthmus of Tehuantepec(IT),has been long recognized as a driver for the evolutionary divergence of numerous lowland and highland *** distributed in the lowlands of the American continent,the White-Tipped Dove(Leptotila verreauxi)is a polytypic species with 13 recognized *** of these have been recorded in Mexico,and the distribution of three abuts at the IT,suggesting a contact *** estimate phylogenetic patterns,divergence times and genetic differentiation,we examined two mt DNA(ND2 and COI)and one n DNA(β-fibint 7)*** also used correlative ecological niche models(ENM)to assess whether ecological differences across the IT may have acted as a biogeographical *** estimated paleodistributions during the Middle Holocene,Last Glacial Maximum and Last Interglacial,to evaluate the influence of climate changes on the distribution and demographic *** results showed genetically distinct lineages that diverged approximately 2.5 million years *** and ecological factors may have played a dual role in promoting differentiation,but also in the formation of a secondary contact zone in the southern *** ecological niche comparisons indicated that the ecological niche of sympatric lineages at the IT are not identical,suggesting niches divergence;in addition,environmental niche models across the region indicated no abrupt biogeographic barriers,but the presence of regions with low *** results suggest that genetic differentiation originated by a vicariant event probably related to environmental factors,favored the evolution of different ecological ***,the absence of a biogeographic barrier but the presence of less suitable areas in the contact regions,suggest that secondary contact zones may be also maintained by climatic factors for the eastern group,but also by biotic interactions for the western group.

Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are a class of covalently closed single-stranded RNAs that are expressed during the development of specific cells and *** play crucial roles in physiological and pathological processes by sponging microRNAs,modulating gene transcription,controlling the activity of certain RNA-binding proteins,and producing functional peptides.A key focus of research at present is the functionality of circRNAs in the nervous system and several advances have emerged over the last 2 ***,the precise role of circRNAs in the nervous system has yet to be comprehensively *** this review,we first summarize the recently described roles of circRNAs in brain development,maturity,and ***,we focus on the involvement of circRNAs in various diseases of the central nervous system,such as brain cancer,chronic neurodegenerative diseases,acute injuries of the nervous system,and neuropathic pain.A better understanding of the functionality of circRNAs will help us to develop potential diagnostic,prognostic,and therapeutic strategies to treat diseases of the nervous system.

The interfacial structure of the α-Mg/14H-LPSO phase in rare earth-including magnesium alloy was investigated via high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADFSTEM) imaging and first-principles calculations of density-functional *** possible interfacial models were constructed according to the different terminations of the LPSO phase,and the corresponding interfacial energies were calculated,from which the four most stable structures(Terl-MgY-hollow,Ter2-Zn-hollow,Ter3-MgYII-hollow and Ter4-Mg-bridge) were *** interfacial phase diagrams related to the Y chemical potentials were obtained from the calculations,and the most stable interfacial structure was ***-MgY-hollow and Ter2-Zn-hollow have the lowest interfacial energies in the range of-0.7 eV change of state is the minimized and the interface is the most *** separation work of the two models was calculated to predict the bonding strength of the structures at both ends of the *** calculation results show that the maximum interfacial separation work is 1.45 j/m^(2) for the interface model of α-Mg and 14H-LPSO phase structure with Ter2-Zn-hollow termination.

In response to the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol and global low-carbon emission environmental requirements,the phase-out and decomposition of numerous HFC refrigerants have become urgent,necessitating efficient and mild decomposition *** study investigates the thermal decomposition and oxidative thermal decomposition pathways of the typical hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant HFC-134a,employing a combination of experimental and quantum chemical DFT simulation *** chemical simulations reveal that the initial reaction bond cleavage serves as the rate-determining step during the thermal decomposition process,with the most easily detectable closed-shell products including CF_(2)=chF,HF,ch_(3)F,chF_(3),ch_(2)F_(2),and CF_(4).Reactive oxygen species can significantly reduce the Gibbs free energy barrier for HFC-134a *** achieve efficient degradation of HFC-134a,appropriate catalysts should be developed and selected to increase the level of reactive oxygen species in the reaction *** studies further corroborate that HFC-134a may undergo degradation through distinct reaction pathways under varying temperature(240℃to360℃)and pressure(0.1 MPa to 4.5 MPa)conditions,in agreement with simulation predictions.

Experimental and numerical investigations were performed to reveal the effect of prestress on the fatigue properties of FGH4097 so as to quantitatively evaluate the overspeed benefit of the disc of aeroengine. A corresponding experiment was performed to examine the effect of prestress on the fatigue life of FGH97. A complete model describing the fatigue properties of the prestressed notch specimen was proposed. After the modification of mean stress, stress gradient and prestressing treatment, the model is finally verified by fatigue test of presstressed notch specimens machined from FGH4097 with satisfactory accuracy and good engineering applicability. The new model highlights that for the variable fatigue loads, the introduction of appropriate prestress is expected to benefit to the notch specimens and certainly to the disc of aeroengine regards of their fatigue properties. Both the calculation method of fatigue life parameters and the prestress correction model are proved to have good prediction accuracy.
