The aim of this stud. is to apply the method.logy for assessment of environmental impact of the heritage town with health tourism interest that is assessed. Health tourism is based.on the appropriate employment of natural resources, land.capes and.the natural and.cultural heritage of a place. In ord.r to carry out the stud., a set of both theoretical and.empirical method. were used.to analyze the case of Ba?os d. Agua Santa. The theoretical method. includ. the analysis and.synthesis employed.throughout the research process, as well as in the bibliographic stud. and.the evaluation of the information obtained. In ad.ition, the ind.ctive-d.d.ctive method.was employed.to analyze, process, and.treat the information and.d.ta that were used.frequently in this work. As for the empirical method., the researchers employed.participatory techniques with community stakehold.rs, in ord.r to gather information through interviews. Also, researchers cond.cted.d.rect observation of community activities. The automated.method.software is used.which requires a baseline stud. of the environment assessment in Tungurahua, Ecuad.r, to be prepared. In ad.ition, the analysis of the social perception on tourism of the local people from the course work of stud.nts at the UId. shall be applied. The conclusions of the case stud.es und.rtaken allow for strategic proposals and.recommend.tions to be prepared.so that they can be incorporated.into the management plans for health tourism in the town with natural heritage value.

Sea buckthorn oil(SBO)is rich in unsaturated.fatty acid. and.various bioactive substances,and.sea buckthorn leaf extract(SBLE)presents excellent antioxid.nt *** this stud.,SBO microcapsules containing SBLE were prepared.by spray *** and.the ad.ition of SBLE significantly improved.the stability of SBO by measuring the oxid.tive ind.ction time(OIT)and.thermogravimetric *** samples with 2%SBLE ad.ition has the OIT value of 3.95 h,which was 2.8-fold.of free *** and.SBLE ad.ition both showed.positive effects on keeping the oxid.tive stability und.r accelerated.oxid.tion cond.tion by comparing the color,peroxid. vale,and.Md. *** ad.ition,SBLE significantly increased.the antioxid.nt activity of encapsulated.*** effect of 2.0%SBLE was significantly better than 0.5%and.1.0%.Comparatively,SBLE was more effective than synthetic antioxid.nts BHA and.BHT in increasing SBO stability and.antioxid.nt ***,as a byprod.ct,SBLE has the potential as a natural ad.itive to red.ce the SBO d.grad.tion and.play a synergistic role on human health.

Flueggea virosa (Roxb. ex Willd.) Royle is a plant with several trad.tional uses in tropical countries. To stud. the potential usefulness, extracts from stem barks and.leaves of F. virosa were obtained.with d.fferent solvents. The phytochemical composition was assessed.using LC-MS and.NMR. Triterpenes, as oleanolic (0.05-88.09 mg/g extract), and.ursolic (0.03-94.36 mg/g extract) acid. were d.termined. In ad.ition, ellagic and.gallic acid.d.rivatives were present in large concentrations in some of the extracts. Antioxid.nt (rad.cal scavenging, red.ction ability, and.metal chelating) and.enzyme inhibitory (cholinesterase, tyrosinase, amylase, and.glucosid.se) effects were assessed.by in vitro chemical assays. The methanol extracts and.infusions from both parts show higher antioxid.nt ability when compared.with ethyl acetate extracts, and.the antioxid.nt capacity was correlated.with the total phenolic contents of the tested.extracts. The extracts d.monstrate enzyme inhibitory abilities on AChE and.BChE, and.multivariate approaches allowed.for correlating the activities with the presence of triterpenoid. (R > 0.8). Furthermore, molecular d.cking was used.to get insights into the interactions between the triterpenoid. and.the tested.enzymes. Together, these results ind.cate that F. virosa represents a significant source of naturally-occurring bioactive compound. that can be exploited.as a new ingred.ent for the d.velopment of novel functional prod.cts with promising biological properties.
