Objective:To analyze the effect of Cadmium(Cd)on the metabolism of reduced glutathione(GSH)in roots and leaves of Glycine max L.Methods:A capillary electrophoresis methodology was optimized to determinate simultaneously GSH and reduced and oxidized GSH in a precise and accurate way.The functional role of the genes involved in GSH cellular metabolism(γ-glutamylcysteine synthetase),GSH synthetase and glutathione reductase(GR)was evaluated.Finally,the activities of antioxidant enzymes as GR and superoxide dismutases were determinate.Results:The studies ofγ-glutamylcysteine synthetase and GSH synthetase gene expression showed an increase and GR showed a decrease in Cd-treated plants.GR and superoxide dismutases activities increased at 24 h and 6 h respectively in roots under Cd exposure.GSH content was higher and showed a significant increase in roots and leaves at 6 h and 24 h of treatment.Conclusions:The results of the present study showed a better understanding in signaling pathway by alterations in antioxidant mechanisms by Cd in soybean seedlings.

古巴人与中国人跨文化交流的问题以及对策——以礼貌用语为中心

交流是人类相互沟通的基本能力,这样可以获得很多对世界的知识。通过良好的交流沟通,人们可以彼此认识、广交朋友、互相学习,也可以发现新的兴趣、机遇和挑战。古巴与中国都是以马克思主义为理论基础的共产党领导下的社会主义的国家,双边关系历来很好。古巴是第一个与中国建立外交关系的拉丁美洲的国家。加上在19世纪大批华工前往古巴,其中还有部分参加了古巴的独立战争,他们把中国文化带到了古巴,产生了深刻的影响,使现代的古巴文化里也有一些中国文化的元素。虽然如此,但两国文化背景不同,双方在进行跨文化交流时经常会遇到一些问题。考察中古两国人民交流沟通的特点以及文化哲学会发现,中国人与古巴人有着完全不同的社会交流规范和行为准则,通过比较双方语言中礼貌用语的不同,对中国与古巴跨文化交际的问题更明确的认识。比如,因为文化背景的不同古巴人与中国人在见面到招呼时候的语言差异就十分明显,如果不能更好处理这些问题,就会给双方的交流造成障碍。通过调查发现,中国人与古巴人在跨文化交际的时候,经常会遇到的礼貌用语问题集中表现在打招呼、表示感谢或道歉、涉及隐私等诸多方面,需要经过语义理解、翻译、文化交流等多方面的对策才能不断加以解决。因此,应该关注礼貌用语的问题,同时思考解决这个问题的对策。本论文中所涉及到的内容主要以礼貌用语为中心。

Objective:To analyze the effect of cadmium(Cd)on soybean seedlings growth and the relationship with the distribution and concentration of macro-microelements.Methods:The ions concentrations were determined by ICP-MS.The extraction efficiency and digestion time were optimized.Also,oxidative stress parameters were determined and related with metal content.Results:The accumulated amount of dry matter in roots and leaves was lower in the Cd-treated group.Regression analysis showed that the exposure to Cd affected the accumulated amount of dry matter as well as the content of mineral elements in the analysis samples.In Cd treated plants,electrical conductivity increased respect to the controls,indicating that ionic permeability became altered.A strong inhibition of the chlorophylls(chl)biosynthesis in the Cd-treated group was also demonstrated by a decrease of chla and chlb concentration.This result was related with the observed significant decrease in the Mg uptake at the roots and leaves level.Conclusions:The stress caused by Cd exposure,evidenced by significantly high hydrogen peroxide levels in roots and leaves after 24 h and the content of specific macro-microelements is a factor that affects the accumulation of dry matter,electrical conductivity and chlorophylls concentration.

Phasor measurement units(PMUs)are fundamental tools in the applications of modern power systems,where synchronized phasor estimations are needed.The accuracy and dynamic performance requirements for phasor,frequency,and rate of change of frequency(ROCOF)estimations are established in the IEEE Std.C37.118.1-2011 along with the IEEE Std.C37.118.1 a-2014,where two PMU performances are suggested:P class filters for applications requiring fast response and M class filters for applications requiring high rejection to aliased signals.In this paper,a methodology to design new phasor estimators that satisfy the P class and M class requirements in PMUs is presented.The proposed methodology is based on finite impulse response filters,brick-wall filters,and complex filter design concepts,where frequency range,time performance,harmonic rejection and out-of-band interference requirements are considered in its design.A comparative analysis using the reference model given by the IEEE Std.C37.118.1 is presented.The results show the effectiveness of the phasor estimators under steady-state and dynamic conditions according to the PMU standard,making them suitable tools for applications in power systems.

通过休眠而实现的在空间或时间上的传播是生物体对它们所经历的环境施加影响的主要过程之一。在植物中,由于这两种传播都是通过种子进行的,而且两者在适应性方面发挥的作用也是类似的,因此预测它们之间存在较强的进化相关性。在本研究中,我们使用了两型结实的植株来研究这些进化相关性,这类植株能同时产生具有高度空间传播力的种子以及不会传播的地下种子。我们对经不同组合的休眠过程破坏处理(即干燥后熟、冷积层和物理划伤)后的种子的萌发百分比进行了评估,以研究两种两型结实豆科植物——野豌豆(Vicia amphicarpa L.)和山黧豆(Lathyrus amphicarpos L.),以及同它们亲缘关系很近的两种单型结实类群——救荒野豌豆(Vicia sativa L.)和红山黧豆(Lathyrus cicera L.)的飞播种子和地下种子在休眠和萌发方面的变化情况。研究结果表明,空间传播和时间传播之间存在着复杂的相互作用。在刚完成传播时,空播种子比地下种子更具休眠性,但当种子经后熟处理而开始物理休眠时,这种趋势也随之逆转。单型结实植株种子的萌发百分比高于其两型结实的同属植株,并在后熟处理后都同样失去了休眠性。相反,两型结实植株的种子则表现出同时受生理休眠和物理休眠调节的不同休眠性策略,预计这可能使出苗时间发生变化,从而提供了多层次多样化的两头下注策略(bet-hedging)。这一策略能够使植株依赖于丰产季中的历史有利区域而不阻碍空间和时间上的迁移,从而有可能在不可预测性很高的条件下具有适应性。

Objective:To assess the efficacy of triclabendazole(TCBZ) in porcine cysticercosis.Methods:Eighteen naturally infected cysticercotic pigs were divided into 3 groups of 6 individuals each.The first group was treated orally with TCBZ at a single dose of 30 mg/kg of body weight,the second group was treated orally with oxfendazole at a single dose of 30 mg/kg of body weight and the third group received a placebo(control group).All animals were kept under the same management conditions.The pigs were euthanized 17 wk post-treatment and the number of surviving cysts in muscles was assessed and compared between groups.Results:All pigs treated with oxfendazole had only degenerated cysts in their carcasses.In contrast,TCBZ had very little effect against the parasitic cysts.Cysts from pigs in the TCBZ group looked apparently normal after treatment.However,histological evaluation showed a mild to moderate degree of inflammation.Conclusions:TCBZ is not an efficacious drug against Taenia solium cysticercosis in swine using a single dose.

BACKGROUND Tracheoesophageal fistulas(TEFs)can be described as a pathological communication between the trachea and the esophagus.According to their origin,they may be classified as benign or malignant.Benign TEFs occur mostly as a consequence of prolonged mechanical ventilation,particularly among patients exposed to endotracheal cuff overinflation.During the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 virus pandemic,the amount of patients requiring prolonged ventilation rose,which in turn increased the incidence of TEFs.CASE SUMMARY We report the cases of 14 patients with different comorbidities such as being overweight,or having been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus or systemic hypertension.The most common symptoms on arrival were dyspnea and cough.In all cases,the diagnosis of TEFs was made through upper endoscopy.Depending on the location and size of each fistula,either endoscopic or surgical treatment was provided.Eight patients were treated endoscopically.Successful closure of the defect was achieved through over the scope clips in two patients,while three of them required endoscopic metal stenting.A hemoclip was used to successfully treat one patient,and it was used temporarily for another patient pended surgery.Surgical treatment was performed in patients with failed endoscopic management,leading to successful defect correction.Two patients died before receiving corrective treatment and four died later on in their clinical course due to infectious complications.CONCLUSION The incidence of TEFs increased during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic(from 0.5%to 1.5%).We believe that endoscopic treatment should be considered as an option for this group of patients,since evidence reported in the literature is still a growing area.Therefore,we propose an algorithm to lead intervention in patients presenting with TEFs due to prolonged intubation.
