Road accidents are one of the most relevant causes of injuries and death worldwide,and therefore,they constitute a significant field of research on the use of advanced algorithms and techniques to analyze and predict traffic accidents and determine the most relevant elements that contribute to road *** research of road accident prediction aims to respond to the challenge of offer tools to generate a more secure mobility environment,and ultimately,save *** paper aims to provide an overview of the state of the art in the prediction of road accidents through machine learning algorithms and advanced techniques for analyzing information,such as convolutional neural networks and long short-term memory networks,among other deep learning ***,in this article,a compendium and study of the most used data sources for the road accident forecast is *** a classification is proposed according to its origin and characteristics,such as open data,measurement technologies,onboard equipment and social media *** the analysis of the information,the different algorithms employed to make predictions about road accidents are listed and compared,as well as their applicability depending on the types of data being analyzed,along with the results obtained and their ease of interpretation and *** best results reported by the authors are obtained when two or more analytic techniques are combined,in such a way that analysis of the obtained results is *** the future challenges in road traffic forecasting lies the enhancement of the scope of the proposed models and predictions by the incorporation of heterogeneous data sources,that include geo spatial data,information from traffic volume,traffic statistics,video,sound,text and sentiment from social media,that many authors concur that can improve the precision and accuracy of the analysis and predictions.

The semi-Lagrangian relaxation （SLR）, a new exactmethod for combinatorial optimization problems with equality constraints,is applied to the quadratic assignment problem （QAP）.A dual ascent algorithm with finite convergence is developed forsolving the semi-Lagrangian dual problem associated to the *** perform computational experiments on 30 moderately difficultQAP instances by using the mixed integer programming solvers,Cplex, and SLR＋Cplex, respectively. The numerical results notonly further illustrate that the SLR and the developed dual ascentalgorithm can be used to solve the QAP reasonably, but also disclosean interesting fact： comparing with solving the unreducedproblem, the reduced oracle problem cannot be always effectivelysolved by using Cplex in terms of the CPU time.

Designing the support system for a deep tunnel in weak rock is always challenging,because a misjudgment of real rock behavior can lead to *** the construction of the Legutiano tunnel,which belongs to the high-speed railway network named Y-Basque in Spain,the measured convergences exhibited large deformations,which were significantly higher than those in the detailed *** first glance,these deformations were associated with squeezing,as the tunnel was excavated in flysch-shales and limonite with a maximum cover of approximately 360 *** aim of this study is to perform a retrofit analysis to compare the most popular empirical and analytical approaches for evaluating the squeezing effect,using geotechnical data pertaining to other tunnels excavated in the same area and in the same geological ***,a non-linear finite element analysis,focusing on time-dependent rock behavior,is conducted to reproduce the convergences measured.

TBI pathology： Traumatic brain injury （TBI） is caused by an external force to the head, resulting in trauma to the brain. Approximately 1.7 million Americans suffer from TBI every year. Out of the 1.7 million suffering from TBI, an estimated 52,000 injuries result in death, leaving a mass amount of peo- ple with symptoms that could last a few days, a few years, or their entire life （Faul et al., 2010）. TBI can be classified as mild, moderate and severe. Depending on the classification and the extent of the injury, TBI can cause both physical symptoms and cognitive disorders （Lozano et al., 2015）.

Chatter vibrations in machining operations affect surface finishing and tool behaviour, particularly in the end-milling of aluminum parts for the aerospace industry. This paper presents a methodological approach to identify chatter vibrations during manufacturing processes. It relies on wavelet analyses of cutting force signals during milling operations. The cutting-force signal is first decomposed into an approximation/trend sub-signal and detailed subsignals, and it is then re-composed using modified subsignals to reduce measurement noise and strengthen the reference peak forces. The reconstruction of the cuttingforce signal is performed using a wavelet denoising pro- cedure based on a hard-thresholding method. Four experimental configurations were set with specific cutting parameters using a workpiece specifically designed to allow experiments with varying depths of cut. The experimental results indicate that resultant force peaks （after applying the threshold to the detailed sub-signals） are related to the presence of chatter, based on the increased correlation of such peaks and the surface roughness profiles, thereby reinforcing the applicability of the proposed method. The results can be used to control the online occurrence of chatter in end-milling processes, as the method does not depend on the knowledge of cutting geometry nor dynamic parameters.

BACKGROUND Endoscopic resection of non-invasive lesions is now the standard of care for lesions in the GI ***,resection techniques require extensive training,are not available in all endoscopy centers and are prone to *** mucosal ablation(EMA)is a combination of resection and ablation techniques and it may offer an alternative in the management of such *** SUMMARY In this case series we report the successful treatment of three flat colonic polyps using the EMA *** lesions were treatment naïve and 1 was a recurrence after an endoscopic mucosal *** sizes ranged from 2 to 4 *** three polyps were ablated successfully with no immediate or delayed *** recurrence rate at 1 year of follow up was 0%.CONCLUSION Based on this initial experience,we conclude that EMA is a safe and effective technique for the treatment of non-invasive colonic polyps when endoscopic resection techniques are not available.
