Special Issue on Distributed Next Generation 5G Data Networks Introduction of the special issue:The eminent growth in connected devices technologies,like the Internet of Things(IoT),5th generation(5G)and beyond communication systems,lead to innovations for human *** uninterrupted data communication services play diverse roles in the mobile user’s routine *** various changing user group patterns are unpredictable due to the day-by-day up-gradation of user *** though the existing telecommunication services have upgraded up to 5G with high performance distributed computing(HPDC)in the distributed data networks(DDN)for ultra-reliable and low latency communication(URLLC)services,yet the backend distributed database systems(DDS)are facing serious security and privacy issues due to lack of federated intelligence in the data ***,we have seen an increased focus and effort by users and policymakers toward enhancing security and privacy related to the collection and usage of the data in *** it comes to the intelligence using machine/deep learning(ML/DL)of the HPDC systems for security and privacy,enough dataset is required,which often includes personal user information to train ML/DL *** data privacy and security represents a growing critical concern,given the above-mentioned new areas of legislation and policies,novel ML methodologies like federated learning(FL)have been developed in part to address these concerns.

In this study, it is aimed to develop the flood risk analysis of Porsuk River, which is responsible for naming of the Porsuk Basin sub basin of Sakarya Basin, by utilizing the methods of Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). In addition, flood elevation effects of Porsuk River in Eskişehir city and the regions around were investigated. Necessary data for study were obtained from Eskişehir 3. Regional Directorate of State Hydraulic Works archives. For analyses, the cross section of Porsuk River was defined in the Hydrologic Engineering Centers River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) software. Subsequently, recurring periods of 50, 100 and 1000 years discharge of Porsuk River which is calculated as 51.83 m3/s, 60.15 m3/s and 86.66 m3/s respectively were inputted in the software to obtain analysis results. Obtained results from the present study and topographic data were compared and interpreted. As a result, elevation of flood and its risks for urban regions were studied and presented.

Assessment of the Patient Movement for Lesion during Myocardial Perfusion SPECT Imaging by Cardiac Phantom

Movement of the patient during myocardial perfusion SPECT leads to some artifacts that make the interpretation difficult. In this study, myocardial perfusion imaging protocol was performed on a cardiac phantom and SPECT was performed by simulating patient movements. A lesion model with dimensions of 1.2 × 2 × 2 cm was created on the inferoseptal wall of the cardiac phantom. Imaging was done in circular orbits in 64 × 64 matrix and step and shoot mode. First set of images taken with no movement was referred as the reference image. During imaging, patient movement was simulated by moving the phantom in ±X and ±Y directions between the frames starting from 8th frame to 16th frame. At the end of imaging, Bull’s eye maps of images with movement were com-pared with Bull’s eye maps of reference images. Bull’s eye maps were evaluated by an experienced nuclear medicine physician. Shifting patient’s movement in all directions by ±1 and ±2 cm, dis-placed the localization of the lesion mildly and this did not hamper the evaluation. However, movements of ±3 or ±4 cm resulted in artifacts which in turn caused partial or no visualization of the lesion. In motion corrected images, the lesion could be evaluated in ±1 and ±2 cm movements while lesion could not be evaluated in ±3 and ±4 cm movements. As a result, movement greater than ±3 cm causes significant image artifacts and this should be considered as a potential source of error in myocardial perfusion studies.

Nowadays, the rapid changes in the marketing environment of construction products accelerate the shortening tendency of product life cycles which in return put pressure on companies to produce successful new products and adopt innovative strategies to survive and expand in the fast competitive environment. The success of the new construction products calls for a high-quality and well-managed product development process. Thus, this study aims at defining the basic steps of a NPD （new product development） process designed for floor coverings and evaluating its applicability. To this end, the product development methods of the leading companies in the construction sector in Turkey have been analyzed. Also, a questionnaire has been conducted to determine which of the steps of the proposed methodology are currently being realized and which are not or cannot be implemented. Finally, based on this information, certain suggestions have been made as to what can be done to enhance the NPD processes of the companies＇ subject to evaluation.

The development and clinical application of new diagnostic endoscopic technologies such as endoscopic ultrasonography with biopsy,magnification endoscopy,and narrow-band imaging,more recently supplemented by artificial intelligence,have enabled wider recognition and detection of various gastric neoplasms including early gastric cancer(EGC)and subepithelial tumors,such as gastrointestinal stromal tumors and neuroendocrine *** the last decade,the evolution of novel advanced therapeutic endoscopic techniques,such as endoscopic mucosal resection,endoscopic submucosal dissection,endoscopic fullthickness resection,and submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection,along with the advent of a broad array of endoscopic accessories,has provided a promising and yet less invasive strategy for treating gastric neoplasms with the advantage of a reduced need for gastric ***,the management algorithms of various gastric tumors in a defined subset of the patient population at low risk of lymph node metastasis and amenable to endoscopic resection,may require revision considering upcoming data given the high success rate of en bloc resection by experienced ***,endoscopic surveillance protocols for precancerous gastric lesions will continue to be refined by systematic reviews and meta-analyses of further ***,the lack of familiarity with subtle endoscopic changes associated with EGC,as well as longer procedural time,evolving resection techniques and tools,a steep learning curve of such high-risk procedures,and lack of coding are issues that do not appeal to many gastroenterologists in the *** review summarizes recent advances in the endoscopic management of gastric neoplasms,with special emphasis on diagnostic and therapeutic methods and their future prospects.
