Populations experiencing negligible predation pressure are expected to evolve higher behavioral ***,when sexes have different expected benefits from high activity,the adaptive shift is expected to be ***,we compared movement activity of one cave(lack of predation)and three adjacent surface(high and diverse predation)populations of Asellus aquaticus,a freshwater isopod known for its independent colonization of several caves across *** predicted 1)higher activity in cave than in surface populations,with 2)the difference being more pronounced in males as they are known for active mate searching behavior,while females are *** was assessed both in the presence and absence of *** results supported both predictions:movement activity was higher in the cave than in the surface populations,particularly in *** predation pressure in the cave-adapted population is most likely the main selective factor behind increased behavioral activity,but we also showed that the extent of increase is sex-specific.

The paper presents the behaviour of concrete elements, in this case the beams under the different loadings result with the capacity of section. In analyzing process, results are followed with the deflections of beams and the cracks. In this paper, we analyse the type, form and dimensions of cracks under the third point load method of applied loads in simple concrete beam. To improve the capacity, the authors use the different types of FRP （fibre reinforcement polymers）, including the glass fibre reinforcement polymers and carbon fibre reinforcement polymers, comparing the deflections and cracks. The focused parameters are in using the different methods for transversal force, including the primary forms with steel stirrups and the new proposal for using the outside stirrups from FRP. The all analyses presented in this paper are based on the analytical model and experimental results. The behaviour of beams under the mixed form with ordinary steel stirrups and proposal stirrups from FRP, successfully increase the energetic capacity of sections.

We have analyzed recently published data of the ac electrical conductivity and dielectric constant in La_(0.8)Te_(0.2)MnO_(3)(LTMO),and at temperatures below 500 K both quantities follow the universal dielectric response(UDR)typical of hopping or tunneling of localized charge carriers.A detailed analysis of the temperature dependence of the UDR parameter s in terms of the theoretical model for tunneling of small polarons revealed that below 500 K,this mechanism governs the charge transport in LTMO system.

Numerous agents of infections in humans and other mammals are found among fungi that are able to survive extreme environmental conditions and to quickly adapt to novel ***,the relationship between opportunistic potential and polyextremotolerance was not yet studied systematically in ***,the link between polyextremotolerance and opportunistic pathogenicity is shown in a kingdom-wide phylogenetic analysis as a statistically significant co-occurrence of extremotolerance(*** and psychrotolerance)and opportunism at the level of fungal *** addition to extremotolerance,fungal opportunists share another characteristic—an apparent lack of specialised virulence *** is illustrated by a comparative genomic analysis of 20 dothideomycetous and eurotiomycetous black *** the genomes of specialised fungal plant pathogens were significantly enriched in known virulence-associated genes that encode secreted proteases,carbohydrate active enzyme families,polyketide synthases,and non-ribosomal peptide synthetases,no such signatures were observed in human *** the presented results have several *** infection of human hosts is a side effect of fungal stress tolerance and adaptability,the human body is most likely neither the preferred habitat of such species,nor important for their evolutionary *** defines opportunism as opposed to pathogenicity,where infection is advantageous for the species’*** opportunists are generally incapable of the host-to-host transmission,any host-specific adaptations are likely to be lost with the resolution of the infection,explaining the observed lack of specialised virulence *** this scenario opportunistic infections should be seen as an evolutionary dead end and unlikely to lead to true pathogenicity.

As a result of longer term exploitation, exposure to severe weather conditions or influence of chemical conditions, concrete walls of concrete structures get damaged internally as well as externally. This study includes a preliminary analysis of chemically treated water in existing concrete structures, and another after the application of the method and using materials for the structures in future. One of the priorities was to examine the existing concrete structures by using nondestructive and destructive methods. After that, based on the results of the analysis, adequate new materials are proposed for the repairs, most commonly new technology polymer carbonated materials, in order to achieve durability of structure elements in using technological processes. Behavior of the repairing structures was tested using the in situ methods, and especially pull-of test, to verify the adhesion force between the old concrete structures and new applied layer. After the repairing, the concrete structures will be monitored to record the behavior under the chemical treated water.

Electrical conductivity and dielectric properties of bismuth aluminate, Bi12.47Al0.53O19.5 （BAO）, were investigated in the frequency range from 1 Hz to 1 MHz in the temperature range from 420 K to 5 K. In the temperature range from 360 K to 220 K the real part of the complex ac electrical conductivity and dielectric constant follow the universal dielectric response （UDR）, being typical for hopping or tunneling of localized charge carriers. A detailed analysis of the temperature dependence of the UDR parameter s in terms of the theoretical model for tunneling of small polarons revealed that below 360 K this mechanism governs the charge transport in this material. The characteristic parameters for polarons, W∞, ιo, and ι0 were determined.
