Many temporary and permanent reservoirs of water occur on or near coal-waste dumps in the Lower-and Upper Silesian Coal Basins(Poland).Little or nothing is known of the degree to which their water chemistry might reflect(i)reservoir type,i.e.,whether permanent or temporary,(ii)level of coal-waste thermal activity,i.e.,whether inactive or self-heating or burnt-out or(iii)region,i.e.,whether the dumps are in Upper-or Lower *** provide some answers,concentrations of selected ions(NH_(4)^(+),HCO_(3)^(-),F^(-),Cl^(-),Br^(-),NO_(2)^(-),NO_(3)^(-),PO_(4)^(3-),SO_(4)^(2-))were determined by ion chromatography and of nineteen elements(Al,B,Ba,Ca,Cd,Cr,Cu,Fe,K,Li,mg,Mn,Na,P,Pb,S,Si,Sr,Zn)by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS).The data allow a number of the following *** permanent reservoirs are considered,there is a clear relationship between concentrations of ions and major and trace elements and dump thermal *** highest concentrations occur where the thermal activity is high as inorganic components are transformed into more water-soluble *** dump thermal activity shows a regional pattern,it follows also that elemental and ion concentrations in the dump waters show significant regional *** temporary reservoirs,concentrations of ions and major and trace elements are much lower and any correlations between components less significant than in the permanent reservoirs;these reservoirs exist for too short a time for any balance between coal waste-and water components to be established.

Oral administration of arsenic trioxide(3 and 6 mg/kg body weight/d) for 30 d caused, as compared with vehicle control, dose dependent significant reductions in body weight, absolute weight, protein, glycogen, as well as, total, dehydro and reduced ascorbic acid contents both in the liver and kidney of arsenic treated mice. Succinic dehydrogenase(SdH) and phosphorylase only in the liver activities were significantly reduced in a dose dependent manner. Acid phosphatase activity was significantly decreased in the liver of low dose arsenic treated animals; however, significant rise in its activity was observed in high dose group. As compared with vehicle control, treatment also caused significant dose dependent reductions in SdH, alkaline phosphatase and acid phosphatase activities in the kidney of mice. Vitamin e cotreatment as well as, 30 d withdrawal of arsenic trioxide treatment with or without vitamin e caused significant amelioration in arsenic induced toxicity in mice. Administration of vitamin e during withdrawal of treatment also caused significant amelioration as compared from only withdrawal of the treatment. It is concluded that vitamin e ameliorates arsenic induced toxicities in the liver and kidney of mice.

用大豆(Glycine max(L.)Merr.)未成熟胚为外植体,在含高浓度 NAA 或2,4-d 的培养基上可诱导绿色结构体和体细胞胚状体。叶状、花状和喇叭形状的绿色结构体在含30mg/l2,4-d 的 MS-1培养基上可重新愈伤组织化。这种由高浓度2,4-d 诱发并保持的愈伤组织,转到低激素水平的培养基上后,能诱导出大量的同类形状的新结构体。绿色结构体可以进一步发育成叶丛状,但顶端不伸长。使用含2m g/l GA,和0.1mg/l IBA 的培养基,能促进顶端伸长和根的发育,获得正常植株。由未成熟胚的子叶(其时种子长度约4—6mm)诱导的愈伤组织具有再生能力。在含高浓度2,4-d(5-30mg/l)的培养基上诱导出的愈伤组织具有较高的产生绿色结构的潜力。而高浓度 NAA(10mg/l)培养基产生的愈伤组织具有较强的产生根状体的潜力。培养的外植体或愈伤组织在含5mg/l 2,4-d 的培养基上,不需要经常的继代培养,即可长期保存。

＜正＞ The humanized monoclonal antibody R3 （mAb h - R3）,is a product destined to the treatment in human patients by intravenous route, to diminish or eliminate malignant cell transformations associated to the epidermal Growth Factor receptor overexpression. The objective was to evaluate the toxicity of the mAb h - R3 administration by intravenous route to18 Cercopithecus aethiops sabaeus monkeys during six months. Three experimental groups were utilized: group Control, and two groups treated to low and high dose of 2.85 and 28.57 （mg/Kg） respectively. deaths were not observed, the body weight had a significant increase for weeks, there were not toxic effects in the Haemotological and Biochemical parameters. In the electrocardiography registrations, it was observed a light increment of the cardiac frequency in treated animals. There were neither neurotoxic effects on the studied variables nor macro and microscopic lesions in the skin.

extraction of phenolic compounds from bean seed coats by acetic acid was evaluated and compared to conventional extraction with 80% methanol. Total phenols, flavonoids and free radical scavenging capacity were determined by colorimetric methods. Furthermore, qualitative flavonoid characterization was performed via HPLC diode array. The acetic acid extract contained 73.4 ± 7 mg/g of sample expressed as gallic acid equivalents (GAe), and 41.3 ± 4 mg/g as catechin equivalents (Ce). The acetic acid extract (at 1 mg/mL) showed over 89% efficiency to scavenge the 1,1 diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazil (dPPH) radical (eC50 = 6.13 mg extract/mg standard). Gallic acid, delphinidin-3-glycoside, petunidinglycoside, petunidin, malvidin-3-glycoside, myricetin-glycoside, quercitin-glycoside, saponin (β-g), and 3-hydroxy-5, 7-megastigmadien-9-one were identified in both extracts. Additionally, kaempferol-3-glycoside was found in the acetic acid extract. Sequential acetic acid extractions indicated that the antiradical activity was about 90% in dPPH radical scavenging within the first 8 h of extraction, when compared to a 24 h extraction. The product of the ∧0/b （-B/0） differential production cross-section and the branching fraction of the decay ∧0/b→ j/ψ pK-（-B/0→ j/ψ-K＊（892）0）is measured as a function of the beauty hadron transverse momentum, PT, and rapidity, y. The kinematic region of the measurements is pT〈20 GeV/c and 2.0 〈g〈*** measurements use a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb-1 collected by the LHCb detector in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies √s=7 TeV in 2011 and √s=8 TeV in 2012. Based on previous LHCb results of the fragmentation fraction ratio,f∧0/b/fd,the branching fraction of the decay ∧0/b→ j/ψ pK-is measured to be B（∧0/b→ j/ψ pK-）=（3.17±0.04±0.07±0.34＋0.45/-0.28）×10-4,where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, the third is due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of the decay -B/0 →j/ψ-K＊（892）0,and the fourth is due to the knowledge of f∧0/b/*** sum of the asymmetries in the production and decay between ∧0/b and ∧0/bis also measured as a function of PT and *** previously published branching fraction of ∧0/b→ j/ψ pπ-,relative to that of ∧0/b→ j/ψ pK-,is updated. The branching fractions of ∧0/b→P＋c（→ j/ψp）K-are determined.

BACKGROUNd: Calcific aortic stenosis has many characteristics in common with atherosclerosis, including hypercholesterolemia. We hypothesized that intensive lipid-lowering therapy would halt the progression of calcific aortic stenosis or induce its regression. MeTHOdS: In this double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, patients with calcific aortic stenosis were randomly assigned to receive either 80 mg of atorvastatin daily or a matched placebo. Aortic-valve stenosis and calcification were assessed with the use of doppler echocardiography and helical computed tomography, respectively. The primary end points were change in aortic-jet velocity and aortic-valve calcium score. ReSULTS: Seventy-seven patients were assigned to atorvastatin and 78 to placebo, with a median follow-up of 25 months(range, 7 to 36). Serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations remained at 130±30 mg per deciliter in the placebo group and fell to 63±23 mg per deciliter in the atorvastatin group(Peases in aortic-jet velocity were 0.199±0.210 m per second per year in the atorvastatin group and 0.203±0.208 m per second per year in the placebo group(P=0.95; adjusted mean difference, 0.002; 95 percent confidence interval,-0.066 to 0.070 m per second per year). Progression in valvular calcification was 22.3±21.0 percent per year in the atorvastatin group, and 21.7±19.8 percent per year in the placebo group(P=0.93; ratio of posttreatment aortic-valve calcium score, 0.998; 95 percent confidence interval, 0.947 to 1.050). CONCLUSIONS: Intensive lipid-lowering therapy does not halt the progression of calcific aortic stenosis or induce its regression. This study cannot exclude a small reduction in the rate of disease progression or a significant reduction in major clinical end points. Long-term, large-scale, randomized, controlled trials are needed to establish the role of statin therapy in patients with calcific aortic stenosis.
