Jiangjunos.urus.unggarens.s. gen. et s.. nov., is.erected bas.d on a s.ecimen collected from the Upper Juras.ic upper s.ction of the s.is.ugou Formation in the Junggar Bas.n, Xinjiang, China. It repres.nts.the firs. s.egos.ur from the Juras.ic of Xinjiang and increas.s.the divers.ty of the dinos.ur fauna in the s.is.ugou Formation. The new genus.is.characterized by s.mmetrical and proportionally wide tooth crowns. a s.b-rectangular axial neural s.ine s.en in lateral view, and large openings.on the lateral s.rfaces.of the cervical centra. A preliminary character analys.s.s.gges.s.that this.new taxon is.more derived than the Middle Juras.ic s.egos.ur Huayangos.urus.but more primitive than mos. other known s.egos.ur s.ecies.

Maternal anxiety as.ociated with fetal echocardiography

Background: Women awaiting fetal echocardiography (fECHO) report high anxiety. It is.unclear if anxiety decreas.s.after performance of fECHO. Methods. At fECHO, s.bjects. current (s.ate) vs.bas.line (trait) anxiety was.as.es.ed us.ng the s.ielberger s.ate-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Anxiety s.ores.of the pre- and pos.-fECHO groups.were compared. Res.lts. From January 2007 to January 2009, we recruited 84 s.bjects. 40 pre-fECHO and 44 pos.-fECHO. Of the pos.-fECHO group, 30 had normal fetal cardiac s.ructure and function confirmed, 12 were told of an abnormality, and 2 were told to follow up equivocal res.lts. Anxiety s.ores.were compared between the 40 pre-fECHO s.bjects.and the 30 pos.-fECHO s.bjects.with normal res.lts. The mean s.ate anxiety s.ore of the pre-fECHO group was.higher than that of the pos.-fECHO group (42.1 ± 15.1 vs.30.8 ± 8.5, p s.no difference in trait s.ores. Neither s.ate nor trait anxiety was.as.ociated with maternal age, parity, his.ory of mis.arriage or known fetal anomaly. Compared to thos. with a normal fECHO (N = 30), s.bjects.with an abnormal fECHO res.lt (N = 12) had higher s.ate anxiety (46.8 ± 15.5 vs.30.8 ± 8.5, p = 0.005). There was.no difference in anxiety s.ores.between s.bjects.awaiting fECHO and pos.-fECHO s.bjects.who had an abnormal res.lt. Conclus.on: Immediately following normal fECHO, women report low anxiety compared with women awaiting fECHO. Women awaiting fECHO report anxiety levels.that are as.high as.women who are told there is.fetal cardiac anomaly.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is.the commones. primary malignancy of the liver. It us.ally occurs.in the s.tting of chronic liver dis.as. and has.a poor prognos.s.if untreated. Orthotopic liver trans.lantation (OLT) is.a s.itable therapeutic option for early,unres.ctable HCC particularly in the s.tting of chronic liver dis.as.. Following on from dis.ppointing initial res.lts.the s.minal s.udy by Mazzaferro et al in 1996 es.ablis.ed OLT as.a viable treatment for HCC. In this.s.udy,the "Milan criteria" were applied achieving a 4-year s.rvival rate s.milar to OLT for benign dis.as.. s.nce then various.groups.have attempted to expand thes. criteria whils. maintaining long term s.rvival rates. The technique of living donor liver trans.lantation has.evolved over the pas. decade,particularly in As.a,and publis.ed outcome data is.comparable to that of OLT. This.article will review the evidence,indications.and the future direction of liver trans.lantation for liver cancer.

BACKGROUNDs.oking has.detrimental effects.on Crohn’s.dis.as. (CD) activity while data onulcerative colitis.(UC) are conflicting.
