Tendon and ligam.nt(TL)injuries affect m.llions of people *** play a significant role in TL tissue repair,whether the treatm.nt relies on tissue engineering strategies or using artificial tendon *** biopolym.r governs the m.chanical properties,biocom.atibility,degradation,and fabrication m.thod of the TL *** natural,synthetic and hybrid biopolym.rs have been studied in TL regeneration,often com.ined with therapeutic agents and m.nerals to engineer novel scaffold ***,m.st of the advanced biopolym.rs have not advanced to clinical use ***,we aim.to review recent biopolym.rs and discuss their features for TL tissue *** introducing the properties of the native tissue,we discuss different types of natural,synthetic and hybrid biopolym.rs used in TL tissue ***,we review biopolym.rs used in com.ercial absorbable and non-absorbable TL ***,we explain the challenges and future directions for the developm.nt of novel biopolym.rs in TL regenerative treatm.nt.

The Norway lobster,Nephrops norvegicus,is one of the m.in com.ercial crustacean fisheries in *** abundance of Nephrops norvegicus stocks is assessed based on identifying and counting the burrows where they live from.underwater videos collected by cam.ra system. m.unted on *** Spanish Oceanographic Institute(IEO)andm.rine Institute Ireland(m.Ireland)conducts annual underwater television surveys(UWTV)to estim.te the total abundance of Nephrops within the specified area,with a coefficient of variation(CV)or relative standard error of less than 20%.Currently,the identification and counting of the Nephrops burrows are carried out m.nually by the m.rine *** is quite a tim.-consum.ng *** a solution,we propose an autom.ted system.based on deep neural networks that autom.tically detects and counts the Nephrops burrows in video footage with high *** proposed system.introduces a deep-learning-based autom.ted way to identify and classify the Nephrops *** research work uses the current state-of-the-art Faster RCNN m.dels Inceptionv2 and m.bileNetv2 for object detection and *** conduct experim.nts on two data sets,nam.ly,the Sm.lls Nephrops survey(FU 22)and Cadiz Nephrops survey(FU 30),collected by m.rine Institute Ireland and Spanish Oceanographic Institute,*** the results,we observe that the Inception m.del achieved a higher precision and recall rate than *** best m.an Average Precision(m.P)recorded by the Inception m.del is 81.61%com.ared to m.bileNet,which achieves the best m.P of 75.12%.

The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

Biopolym.rs play a critical role as scaffolds used in tendon and ligam.nt(TL)*** advanced biopolym.r m.terials have been proposed with optim.sed m.chanical properties,biocom.atibility,degradation,and processability,it is still challenging to find the right balance between these ***,we aim.to develop novel hybrid biocom.osites based on poly(p-dioxanone)(PDO),poly(lactide-co-caprolactone)(LCL)and silk to produce high-perform.nce grafts suitable for TL tissue *** containing 1-15%of silk were studied through a range of characterisation *** then explored biocom.atibility through in vitro and in vivo studies using a m.use *** found that adding up to 5%silk increases the tensile properties,degradation rate and m.scibility between PDO and LCL phases without agglom.ration of silk inside the ***,addition of silk increases surface roughness and *** vitro experim.nts show that the silk im.roved attachm.nt of tendon-derived stem.cells and proliferation over 72 h,while in vivo studies indicate that the silk can reduce the expression of pro-inflam.atory cytokines after six weeks of ***,we selected a prom.sing biocom.osite and created a prototype TL graft based on extruded *** found that the tensile properties of both individual fibres and braided grafts could be suitable for anterior cruciate ligam.nt(ACL)repair applications.

The Centre for Advanced Laser Applications in Garching,Germ.ny,is hom. to the ATLAS-3000 m.lti-petawatt laser,dedicated to research on laser particle acceleration and its applications.A control system.based on Tango Controls is im.lem.nted for both the laser and four experim.ntal *** device server approach features high m.dularity,which,in addition to the hardware control,enables a quick extension of the system.and allows for autom.ted data acquisition of the laser param.ters and experim.ntal data for each laser *** this paper we present an overview of our im.lem.ntation of the control system.as well as our advances in term. of experim.ntal operation,online supervision and data *** also give an outlook on advanced experim.ntal supervision and online data evaluation–where the data can be processed in a pipeline–which is being developed on the basis of this infrastructure.

The growth and ordering of {5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-brom.phenyl)porphyrinato}nickel(II) (NiTBrPP) m.lecules on the Au(111) surface have been investigated using scanning tunnelling m.croscopy, X-ray absorption, core-level photoem.ssion, and m.crobeam.low-energy electron diffraction. When deposited onto the substrate at room.tem.erature, the NiTBrPP form. a well-ordered close-packed m.lecular layer in which the m.lecules have a flat orientation with the porphyrin m.crocycle plane lying parallel to the substrate. Annealing of the NiTBrPP layer on the Au(111) surface at 525 K leads to dissociation of brom.ne from.the porphyrin followed by the form.tion of covalent bonds between the phenyl substituents of the porphyrin. This results in the form.tion of continuous covalently bonded porphyrin networks, which are stable up to 800 K and can be recovered after exposure to am.ient conditions. By controlling the experim.ntal conditions, a robust, extended porphyrin network can be prepared on the Au(111) surface that has m.ny potential applications such as protective coatings, in sensing or as a host structure for m.lecules and clusters.
