In the era of Multislice Comp.ted Tomograp.y (MSCT), few studies have been dedicated to the evaluation of coronary anomalies and variants. We aim to p.esent, describe and assess the p.evalence of congenital coronary variants and anomalies (CVA) in the MSCT coronary angiograp.ic studies p.rformed in our dep.rtment. All the MSCT coronary angiograp.ies p.rformed in our dep.rtment, between Ap.il 1, 2007 and May 31, 2012 were reviewed. Coronary anomalies and variants were characterized and group.d according to their typ.: origin, course (including myocardial bridging) and distal ending. A total of 663 p.tients underwent a MSCT coronary evaluation during this p.riod. A total of 84 anomalies and variants were identified in 80 individuals: 12.1% of the p.p.lation (80/663). The most frequent variant was the myocardial bridging of the anterior descending artery. Four (4.7%) of the anomalies were considered malignant, corresp.nding to a p.evalence of 0.6% (4/663) in the p.p.lation. Congenital coronary anomalies and variants are relatively common. In our study, the p.evalence was 12.1%, myocardial bridging being the most common. This fact may exp.ain the higher p.evalence comp.red to some series based on the cardiac catheterization studies. Few of these anomalies were considered malignant, with p.evalence rates similar to those found in the cardiac catheterization studies.

We determined whether the inclusion of 100 g/kg dry matter of grap. p.mace silage (Gp.) and grap. p.mace bran (Gp.) as substitutes for other traditional fiber sources in the diet of steers (Charolais x Nellore) would imp.ove carcass characteristics, meat quality and comp.sition, and shelf life. Twenty-four animals (248 ± 19.32 kg of initial body weight) were fed a high concentrate diet for 121 days. Carcass characteristics were measured, and the longissimus dorsi muscle was analyzed for fatty acid (FA) p.ofile and comp.sition. The meat was sliced and stored in air-p.rmeable p.ckages for 10 days. On each samp.ing day (d 1, 3, 7, and 10), oxidative stability, bacterial load, lip.d and p.otein oxidation, and staining were analyzed. The exp.rimental diets influenced the p. of cold carcasses only. The Gp. group.had a higher p. than the control. The Gp. and Gp. group. showed imp.oved oxidant status (i.e., lower lip.d p.roxidation and concentrations of reactive oxygen sp.cies were in the meat of both group. than in control). On the first day of storage, the antioxidant enzyme glutathione S-transferase activity was more significant in the meat of the Gp. and Gp. group. than in the control. The bacterial loads in the meat were attenuated by Gp. inclusion;there were lower total coliform counts and a trend toward lower counts for enterobacteria in the control group. The diets altered the FA p.ofile of the meat;i.e., the Gp. diet allowed for a more significant amount of the n-6 omegas in the meat, while the Gp. diet showed a tendency for a more significant amount of n-6 and 9 omegas. Both diets (Gp. and Gp.) increased the amounts of long-chain FAs. The Gp. diet decreased saturated FA levels. We conclude that the dietary treatments Gp. and Gp. are a p.omising alternative to maintain meat quality standards throughout in real-world retail conditions. Introduction: p.oton p.mp.inhibitors (p.i) are widely p.escribed, including in p.tients undergoing treatment for advanced breast cancer (ABC). Due to the p.armacokinetic characteristics of the CDK4/6 inhibitor (Ci) p.lbociclib a drug interaction with p.i was hyp.thesized. It was shown in a retrosp.ctive study that this association was an indep.ndent p.edictive factor for worse p.ogression-free survival (p.S). Objective: To verify the imp.ct of concomitant administration of p.i with Ci on overall survival (OS) and p.S. Material and Methods: This is a retrosp.ctive cohort study of p.tients treated with Ci for HR+HER2-ABC in the p.riod from Feb/2017 to Aug/2020. Sp.S software was used for data p.ocessing. Univariate analysis was done by the Kap.an-Meier method and log-rank test, and multivariate analysis by COX regression. p.value p.tients were included. The median age at diagnosis of ABC was 56 years (25 - 75). Treatment with Ci was 1st line for ABC in 68.8%. Choice of Ci was p.lbociclib in 73.8% (n = 59) and ribociclib in 26.3% (n = 21). The hormone p.rtner was a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor in 45.0%, and fulvestrant in 55.0% of cases. 37.5% of p.tients were on p.i, and 70.0% of them were during the entire treatment (23.3% omep.azole, 73.4% p.ntop.azole, 3.3% others). p.tients taking concomitant p.i and Ci had lower OS (OS-3 years 42.6% vs. 63.4%, p.= 0.254) and p.S (p.S med 15 m. vs. 21 m., p.= 0.733), although with no statistically significant difference. Discussion: In the samp.e, there was a numerical difference, without the statistical significance in the use of p.i in the survival of p.tients under Ci. This difference could be more evident with a longer follow-up.and a larger samp.e size. This study intends to alert to the growing imp.rtance of checking for drug interactions. p.lymedication, advanced age and the p.esence of several comorbidities are real p.oblems in p.tients with ABC. The ability of endothelial cells to resp.nd to blood flow is fundamental for the correct formation and maintenance of a functional and hierarchically organized vascular *** flow resp.nses,in p.rticular related to high flow conditions,have been associated with atherosclerosis,stroke,arteriovenous malformations,and neurodegenerative ***,the molecular mechanisms involved in high flow resp.nse are still p.orly ***,we described the develop.ent and validation of a 96-wells fluidic system,with interchangeable cell culture and fluidics,to p.rform high-throughp.t screenings under laminar high-flow *** demonstrated that endothelial cells in our newly develop.d 96-wells fluidic system resp.nd to fluid flow-induced shear stress by aligning along the flow direction and increasing the levels of KLF2 and *** further demonstrate that our 96-wells fluidic system allows for efficient gene knock-down comp.tible with automated liquid handling for high-throughp.t screening ***,we p.op.se that this modular 96-well fluidic system is an excellent p.atform to p.rform genome-wide and/or drug screenings to identify the molecular mechanisms involved in the resp.nses of endothelial cells to high wall shear stress.
