School difficulties are common in children cancer survivors and may be prognostic for the success of the patient social reintegration after the ***,we carry out a narrative review of the literature from 2001 to 2022 to assess the school difficulties of these patients,the predictive factors of these difficulties,and the possible long-term *** punctuate this review the practical point-of-view of a teacher dedicated to our hospital,who works with children with chronic diseases such as ***,we expose possible barriers and solutions to improve the scholar reintegration and limit the impact of cancer on the academic achievement.

Many recent studies have indicated that cellular communications during plant reproduction, fungal invasion, and defense involve identical or similar molecular players and mechanisms. Indeed, pollen tube invasion and sperm release shares many common features with infection of plant tissue by fungi and oomycetes, as a tip-growing intruder needs to communicate with the receptive cells to gain access into a cell and tissue. Depending on the comPatibility between cells, interactions may result in defense, inva- sion, growth support, or cell death. Plant cells stimulated by both pollen tubes and fungal hyphae secrete, for example, small cysteine-rich proteins and receptor-like kinases are activated leading to intracellular signaling events such as the production of reactive oxygen species （ROS） and the generation of calcium （ca^2＋） transients. the ubiquitous and versatile second messenger ca^2＋ thereafter plays a central and crucial role in modulating numerous downstream signaling processes. In stimulated cells, it elicits both fast and slow cellular responses depending on the shape, frequency, amplitude, and duration of the ca^2＋ transients. the various ca^2＋ signatures are transduced into cellular information via a battery of ca^2＋-binding proteins. In this review, we focus on ca^2＋ signaling and discuss its occurrence during plant reproduction and interactions of plant cells with biotrophic filamentous microbes. the participation of ca^2＋ in ROS signaling pathways is also discussed.

Prevalence of parasitemia and associated immunodeficiency among HIV—malaria co—infected adult patients with highly active antiretroviral therapy

Objective:to investigate the malaria parasitemia,cD4~+ cell counts and some haematological indices among HIV-malaria co-infected adult patients with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAARt).Methods:A total of 342 adult HIV positive subjects were recruited at the consultant outpatient HIV/AIDS *** of Benin teaching Hospital,Benin city,Nigeria between June 2011 to November *** samples were taken for malaria parasite count,cD4~+ cell count and other haematological ***:Out of the 342 adult HIV positive subjects a total of 254 patients(74.3%) were found to have malaria *** incidence of malaria parasitemia increased with advancing clinical stage of HIV infection and this was statistically significant(P=0.002).there was no statistical significance when gender was compared with the HIV-malaria status(P>0.05).Of the 254 co-infected patients,134(52.8%) had high parasitemia (>1.25×10~9/L).Sixty patients were found to be hyperparasitemic(>2.5 parasites/L).there was a significant association between cD4~+ cell count and having significant parasitemia(P<0.0001). About half(50.8%) of co-infected patients had cD4~+ cell count≤200/μL,and majority(44.9%) of this population also had significant *** and thrombocytopenia were not significantly associated with HIV-malaria co-infection(P>0.05).conclusions:the prevalence of parasitemia is high among the HIV/AIDS infected patients.

this paper addresses English rhetorical devices as comprehension-related stumbling blocks for chinese students of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Rhetorical devices discussed include metaphor, metonymy, euphemism, jargon, punning, alliteration, irony, sarcasm, friendly teasing, paradox/oxymoron, hyperbole, understatement, polysemy, and meaning change. these lexico-pragmatic devices appear frequently in real-world, natural language and constitute a vital part of social communication for native speakers. the pragmatic meanings of such usages are typically semantically opaque and not readily found in dictionaries: these figures of speech require receivers to make inferences "online," as communication is taking place. For these reasons, rhetorical devices pose a great challenge to EFL students. this paper aims to: (1) discuss contextualized rhetorical expressions in English discourses and texts; and, (2) assess the ability of advanced EFL students in taiwan to comprehend the pragmatic meanings of such rhetorical devices through a comprehension test. Based on the results of this empirical study, possible approaches that could improve students' comprehension of real-world English are suggested.

Histone acetylation/deacetylation is a dynamic process and plays an important role in gene regulation. Histone acetylation homeostasis is regulated by antagonist actions of histone acetyltransferases （HAt） and deacetylases （HDAc）. Plant genome encodes multiple HAts and HDAcs. the Arabidopsis HAt gene AtGcNS/HAGlplays an essential role in many plant development processes, such as meristem function, cell differentiation, leaf and floral organogenesis, and responses to environmental conditions such as light and cold, indicating an important role of this HAt in the regulation of both long-term developmental switches and short-term inducible gene expression. AtGcN5 targets to a large number of promoters and is required for acetylation of several histone H3 lysine residues. Recruitment of AtGcN5 to target promoters is likely to be mediated by direct or indirect interaction with DNA-binding transcription factors and/or by interaction with acetylated histone lysine residues on the targets. Interplay between AtGcN5 and other HAtand HDAc is demonstrated to control specific regulatory pathways. Analysis of the role of AtGcN5 in light-inducible gene expression suggests a function of AtGcN5 in preparing chromatin commitment for priming inducible gene activation in plants.

the advent of lumen apposing metal stents(LAMS)has revolutionized the management of many complex gastroenterological conditions that previously required surgical or radiological *** procedures have garnered popularity due to their minimally invasive nature,higher technical and clinical success rate and lower rate of adverse *** virtue of their unique design,LAMS provide more efficient drainage,serve as conduit for endoscopic access,are associated with lower rates of leakage and are easy to be *** used for drainage of pancreatic fluid collections,the use of LAMS has been extended to gallbladder and biliary drainage,treatment of luminal strictures,creation of gastrointestinal fistulae,pancreaticobiliary drainage,improved access for surgically altered anatomy,and drainage of intra-abdominal and pelvic abscesses as well as post-surgical fluid *** new indications of endosonographic techniques and LAMS continue to evolve,this review summarizes the current role of LAMS in the management of these various complex conditions and also highlights clinical pearls to guide successful placement of LAMS.

We demonstrate the hydrothermal synthesis of long copper nanowires based on a simple protocol. We show that the purification of the nanowires is very important and can be achieved easily by wet treatment with glacial acetic acid. Fabrication of random networks of purified copper nanowires leads to flexible transparent electrodes with excellent optoelectronic performances （e.g., 55 Ω/sq. at 94% transparency）. the process is carried out at room temperature and no post-treatment is necessary. Hybrid materials with the conductive polymer PEDOt：PSS show similar properties （e.g., 46 Ω/sq, at 93% transparency）, with improved mechanical properties. Both electrodes were integrated in capacitive touch sensors.
