Different food operations have been intensified through assisting them by instant controlled pressure drop DIC treatment. Such processes should be defined in order to preserve the main nutritional and sensorial contents of the raw material. the present paper is dedicated to study the evolution of the main bioactive compounds (total phenolics and flavonoids) and functional properties such as the antioxidant activity of processed samples in the case of Green “poblano” pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). Results issued from DIC-assisted hot air drying, and DIC-assisted freezing, allowed to identifying the impact of DIC studied operating parameters, which were the saturated steam pressure and the processing time, and the best DIC treatment correlated with the considered operation.

Community batteries(CBs)are emerging to support and even enable energy communities and generally help consumers,especially space-constrained ones,to access potential techno-economic benefits from storage and support local grid ***,the economic viability of CB projects is often *** this regard,typical feasibility studies assess CB value for behind-the-meter(BtM)operation or whole-sale market participation,i.e.,front-of-meter(FOM).this work proposes a novel techno-economic operational framework that allows systematic assessment of the different options and introduces a two-meter architecture that co-optimizes both BtM and FOM benefits.A real CB project application in Australia is used to demonstrate the significant two-meter co-optimization opportunities that could enhance the business case of CB and energy communities by multi-service provision and value stacking.

th17 is a lymphocyte t helper(th)subpopulation relevant in the control and regulation of the immune response characterized by the production of interleukin(IL)-*** crucial cytokine family acts through their binding to the IL-17 receptors(IL-17R),having up to six *** the biology of fish th17 is well-recognized,the molecular and functional characterization of IL-17 and IL-17R has been ***,our aim was to identify and characterize the IL-17R repertory and regulation in the two main Mediterranean cultured fish species,the gilthead seabream(Sparus aurata)and the European sea bass(Dicentrarchus labrax).Our in silico results showed the clear identification of six members in each fish species,from IL-17RA to IL-17RE-like,with well-conserved gene structure and protein domains with their human *** of them showed wide and constitutive transcription in naïve tissues but with highest levels in mucosal tissues,namely skin,gill or *** leucocytes,t mitogens showed the strongest up-regulation in most of the il17 receptors though il17ra resulted in inhibition by most ***,in vivo nodavirus infection resulted in alterations on the transcription of il17 *** nodavirus infection led to some increments in the il17ra,il17rb,il17rc and il17rd transcripts in the susceptible European sea bass,many down-regulations were observed in the resistant gilthead *** data identify the presence and conservation of six coding IL-17R in gilthead seabream and European sea bass as well as their differential regulation in vitro and upon nodavirus infection.

Agriculture has a close relationship with nature,but it can also be the source of negative and permanent environmental *** use of pesticides in modern agriculture is a common practice,but their side effects on the environment cannot be *** this study,we evaluated a combination of solarization and ozonation techniques for the elimination of six amide pesticides(boscalid,chlorantraniliprole,cyflufenamid,fluopyram,napropamide,and propyzamide)in *** experiments were performed with four different soils to assess the efficiency of this methodology at different soil temperatures and ozone dosages under laboratory conditions,and then a greenhouse pot experiment was conducted under controlled conditions during *** days after the onset of the experiments,higher degradation percentages of amide pesticides were observed in ozonized soils than in other treated soils,particularly when ozone was applied at 10 cm soil *** results show that the utilization of ozonation,along with solarization,represents a valid method for degrading residues of the studied pesticides and suggest that this combined technology may be a promising tool for remediating pesticide-polluted soils.

Introduction: A traumatic brain injury (tBI) is caused by a forceful bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body, or by an object that pierces the skull and interrupts the normal function of the brain. Severe tBI is estimated at 73 cases per 100,000 people. the mortality of severe tBI can be reduced if a timely diagnosis and treatment of the injuries are made through prognostic factors. Objective: to determine the prognostic factors related to mortality in severe traumatic brain injury at the Hospital General de Zona No. 46. Material and Methods: Retrospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study in beneficiaries admitted to the Hospital General de Zona (HGZ) No. 46 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS by its acronym in Spanish), with a diagnosis of severe tBI;the possible prognostic factors related to mortality of severe tBI were obtained from their records. Measures of central tendency and chi square were used for data analysis. Results: the study sample consisted of 60 subjects diagnosed with severe traumatic brain injury, of which 5 (8%) were women and 55 (92%) were men, and all 60 (100%) patients died. the average age of the sample was 26 with a standard deviation of 9 years. the variables that had a p value less than or equal to 0.05 were: Mydriasis, seizures, Hyperglycemia, Normoglycemia, Hypothermia and Hypotension. this means that these variables were associated with mortality. Conclusion: Statistical significance is demonstrated in prognostic factors of mortality in severe traumatic brain injury with p the case of mydriasis, seizures, hyperglycemia, normoglycemia, hypothermia and hypotension.

Scientific studies have focused on environmentally friendly solutions as effective as the reuse of crop products owing to plastic-waste problems in recent *** issue is the main driving force for upcoming academic research attempts in waste valorization-related ***,we integrated an aqua-waste,mussel shell(MS),as a bioadditive form into green thermoplastic polyurethane(tpU)green *** of the MS surface was performed to achieve strong adhesion between composite *** surface functionalities of MS powders were evaluated via infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)*** samples were prepared by melt-compounding followed by injection molding *** was confirmed by morphological analysis that relatively better adhesion between the phases was achieved for composites involving surface-modified MS compared to unmodified *** strength and Young’s modulus of surface-modified MS-filled composites were found to be higher than those of unmodified MS,whereas the elongation at break shifted to lower values with MS *** shore hardness of tpU was remarkably improved after being incorporated with silane-treated MS(AS-MS).Stearic acid-treated MS(St-MS)additions resulted in an enhancement in the thermal stability of the ***-mechanical analysis showed that the storage moduli of composites were higher than those of unfilled ***-MS additions led to an increase in the characteristic glass transition temperature of *** flow index(MFI)of neat tpU was highly improved after MS loading regardless of modification *** to the wear test,surface modification of MS displayed a positive effect on the wear resistance of *** the water absorption data of the composites were evaluated,the tpU/AS-MS composite yielded the lowest water *** silane layer on MS inclusion promoted water repellency of composites due to the hydrophobicity of *** results of the biodegradation
