BACKGROUnD Prevalence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is increasing,especially in patients with metabolic dysfunctionassociated steatotic liver disease(mASLD).AIm To investigate rifaximin(RIF)effects on epigenetic/autophagy markers in *** Adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned(n=8,each)and treated from 5-16 wk:Control[standard diet,water plus gavage with vehicle(Veh)],HCC[high-fat choline deficient diet(HFCD),diethylnitrosamine(DEn)in drinking water and Veh gavage],and RIF[HFCD,DEn and RIF(50 mg/kg/d)gavage].Gene expression of epigenetic/autophagy markers and circulating miRnAs were *** All HCC and RIF animals developed metabolic-dysfunction associated steatohepatitis fibrosis,and cirrhosis,but three RIF-group did not develop *** animals who developed HCC with those who did not,miR-122,miR-34a,tubulin alpha-1c(Tuba-1c),metalloproteinases-2(mmp2),and metalloproteinases-9(mmp9)were significantly higher in the *** opposite occurred with Becn1,coactivator associated arginine methyltransferase-1(carm1),enhancer of zeste homolog-2(Ezh2),autophagy-related factor LC3A/B(map1 Lc3b),and p62/sequestosome-1(p62/SQSTm1)-*** with controls,map1 Lc3b,Becn1 and Ezh2 were lower in HCC and RIF-groups(Pcarm1 was lower in HCC compared to RIF(Pn of mmp9 was higher in HCC in relation to the control;the opposite was observed for p62/Sqstm1(Pn of p62/SQSTm1 protein was lower in the RIF-group compared to the control(P=0.024).There was no difference among groups for Tuba-1c,Aldolase-B,alpha-fetoprotein,and mmp2(P>0.05).miR-122 was higher in HCC,and miR-34a in RIF compared to controls(PmiR-26b was lower in HCC compared to RIF,and the inverse was observed for miR-224(Pno difference among groups regarding miR-33a,miR-143,miR-155,miR-375 and miR-21(P>0.05).COnCLUSIOn RIF might have a possible beneficial effect on preventing/delaying liver carcinogenesis throu

The creeping verminous dermatitis or cutaneous larva migrans is a parasitosis caused by percutaneous penetration and migration of larval nematode parasites characterized by producing one or more serpiginous erythematous,indurated,raised and pruritic *** most common cause of cutaneous larva migrans is the Ancytostoma braziliensc located in warm climate *** the present study,authors reported a case of cutaneous larva migrans with a characteristic clinical picture:erythematous-papnlar and vesicular lesion and serpiginous path,with progressive,and pruritic growth and it shown that a living area with immigration,tropical weather conditions and poverty may lead to this common infection.

In this paper, the PmmA films doped with n,n'-diphenyl-n,n'-di(m-tolyl)-benzidine and rubrene were fabricated by spin coating, and the effect of photooxidation on the photoluminescence of the doped PmmA thin films was investigated. The results showed that under the irradiation of 350nm UV light, n,n'-diphenyl-n,n'-di(m-tolyl)-benzidine can sensitized rubrene and results in the enhancement in the photooxidation of rubrene. The effect of photooxidation on the photoluminescence from rubrene was more obvious. Both lifetime measurement and in situ measurement of photoluminescence showed that rubrene molecules exist in two chemical surroundings.

Riverscape connectivity is a critically important component determining the ecological condition of lotic *** evaluated changes in fish assemblages caused by the loss of connectivity by mine tailings storage dams(TSDs),hypothesizing that headwater fish assemblages are restructured by TSDs located downstream,even though the upstream habitats are not *** used standard methods to collect fish in 24 first to third order sites,with half draining to TSDs(dammed)and the other half free from this impact(undammed).To identify differences between treatments,we used PERmAnOVA to test both environmental variables and ichthyofauna composition(Bray-Curtis similarity index)and evaluated the biological metrics that most influenced assemblage composition *** expected,we observed no difference between treatments for environmental variables,but we did observe differences in fish assemblage *** also observed five metrics with lower values in dammed streams(richness and abundance of intolerant species,siluriform richness,and abundance of Pareiorhaphis *** and Trichomycterus brasiliensis)and two metrics with higher values in dammed streams(perciform richness and abundance of Oligosarcus argenteus).We believe these changes resulted from of stream fragmentation by TSDs,in addition to source-sink mechanisms and conclude that mine TSDs located downstream change headwater fish assemblages,an impact often neglected in biomonitoring and bioassessment studies.

We report the first genetic linkage map of the catfish Lophiosilurus alexandri,a South American threatened and promising aquaculture catfish *** the progeny of three full-sib families,with 141,74,and 49 offspring,respectively,we could genotype 2351 SnP markers using the ddRAD technology,shared by the male and the female maps *** averaged,female and male maps spanned a total length of 2201.3 cm,2481.9 cm,and 1872.8 cm,respectively,and comprehended the expected 27 linkage groups according to the karyotype information of the species(2n=54).The recombination rate was nearly twice higher in the female than in the male *** average map was used to estimate the historical effective population size(ne)of the species from linkage disequilibrium between pairs of SnPs using parental individuals and revealed a remarkable drop in ne about 20-25 generations in the *** construction of the biggest artificial reservoir in Latin America and associated nutrient retention is pointed as a possible reason for such a reduction and suggests a reevaluation of the conservation status of the *** current map lays the groundwork for understanding the genetic basis of economically important traits in breeding programs and will be useful for the genome assembly of this important commercial species.

Facing the lateral vibration problem of a machine rotor as a beam on elastic supports in bending,the authors deal with the free vibration of elastically restrained Bernoulli-Euler beams carrying a finite number of concentrated elements along their *** on Rayleigh’s quotient,an iterative strategy is developed to find the approximated torsional stiffness coefficients,which allows the reconciliation between the theoretical model results and the experimental ones,obtained through impact *** mentioned algorithm treats the vibration of continuous beams under a determined set of boundary and continuity conditions, including different torsional stiffness coefficients and the effect of attached concentrated masses and rotational inertias, not only in the energetic terms of the Rayleigh’s quotient but also on the mode shapes,considering the shape functions defined in *** loading cases are examined and examples are given to illustrate the validity of the model and accuracy of the obtained natural frequencies.

The Children’s Faecal matter Structure Is Built by Their Parents

Introduction: Humans have gone through physical changes over the last 4 million years. The mouth, however, has not changed teeth quantity or quality. Eight incisors for fruits, vegetables and tubers;four little canines for little animals;eight premolars and twelve flat molars are used for crushing these foods, especially whole grains and legumes. The teeth crushing foods are the first step in the building of faecal matter. Foods are selected mostly according to cultural guidelines than to biological needs. The patterns of consumption are induced by the publicity of industrialized or processed foods. material and methods: This study design was observational, analytical, correlational, transversal and prospective. One thousand children (0 - 12 years old) were questioned in order to learn about the relationship between Weekly Eating Frequency (WEF) and Faecal matter (Fm) characteristics. The Fm was classified as soft, normal or hard and the outcome was expressed as Dry Faecal Residue (DFR). The WEF and Weekly Bowel movement Frequency (WBmF) were determined and tabulated according to times per week. Environmental factors, parents’ education level and children’s birth order were examined. Results: There was a strong association between DFR, WBmF and WEF. Environment and education level did not play a key role although birth order did matter. Conclusions: Fibre-free foods (dairies, meats, flours and sweeties or sodas) increased DFR. Foods containing fibre from vegetables decreased DFR, which in turn contributed to the WBmF. Lowest DFR was observed in children under Exclusive Breastfeeding (EB). Distant last-born children had higher DFR. Comments: Daily examples support these results and it is clear that children’s Fm is built by their parents. We encourage parents to follow the “mouth nature” rather than the “advertisements nature”.

In this paper we introduce a method of analysis for the automated ordenng and selection or solutions of a multicriteria shortest path model. The method is based on a reference point approach, where the paths in a specific priority region are ranked by non-decreasing order of a Chebyshev metric. In order to list paths according with this objective function a labelling algorithm is proposed. The developed method is applied in a video-traffic routing context. Computational results are presented and analysed, for randomly generated networks of significant dimension.

Successful wound healing is a process that has three overlying phases:inflammatory,proliferative and *** wounds are characterized by a perpetuated inflammation that inhibits the proliferative and remodeling phases and impairs the wound *** are key modulators of the wound healing ***,they are responsible for the wound cleaning and for the phagocytosis of pathogens and afterwards they lead to the resolution of the inflammatory response and they express growth factors important for angiogenesis and cytokines and growth factors needed for cell proliferation and deposition of extracellular *** phenotype of the macrophage changes gradually throughout the healing process from the initial m1 pro-inflammatory phenotype characteristic of the acute response to the m2 pro-regenerative phenotype that allows an accurate tissue *** chronic wounds,m1 pro-inflammatory macrophages persist and impair tissue *** such,immunomodulatory biomaterials arise as promising solutions to accelerate the wound healing *** this review,we discuss the importance of macrophages and their polarization throughout the different phases of wound healing;macrophage dysfunction in chronic wounds and the use of immunomodulatory biomaterials to overcome the critical problem of chronic wounds-the continued inflammatory phase that impairs healing.

为探究西辽河平原浅埋滴灌下春玉米田n_(2)O和CO_(2)排放通量日变化特征及其影响因素,并确定1天中最佳观测时间。在春玉米吐丝期,采用静态暗箱-气相色谱法研究大水漫灌(CK)和浅埋滴灌(DG)处理n_(2)O和CO_(2)日排放动态变化特征,并分析其与土壤温度和湿度相关性。结果表明,在浅埋滴灌和大水漫灌两种灌溉方式下n_(2)O和CO_(2)排放具有明显的日变化特征,日变化趋势与大气温度变化相似,呈单峰型排放曲线,排放峰值均出现在观测当天大气温度达到最高值后2小时左右。大水漫灌n_(2)O和CO_(2)日排放通量均值分别为199.21μg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)、217.77 mg·m^(-2)·h^(-1);浅埋滴灌n_(2)O和CO_(2)日排放通量均值分别为235.82μg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)、253.54 mg·m^(-2)·h^(-1),分别较大水漫灌增加了18.38%和16.43%。相关性分析表明,浅埋滴灌和大水漫灌处理n_(2)O、CO_(2)排放通量日变化与地表温度和10 cm地温呈显著(Pn_(2)O和CO_(2)排放日变化的重要因素。通过矫正系数随时间分布结果分析表明,上午08:00—10:00时间段测得浅埋滴灌n_(2)O和CO_(2)排放通量最接近全天排放通量均值,为n_(2)O和CO_(2)排放最佳观测时间。建议西辽河平原浅埋滴灌下春玉米田吐丝期后可以选取上午08:00—10:00监测n_(2)O和CO_(2)排放通量。
