The air.basin is a thr.e-dimensional space which conducts and distr.butes winds over.the catchment basins. In the state of r.o de Janeir. (43,305 km2), 48% of the ter.itor. compr.ses the Atlantic slopes (the windwar. side) and 52% (the leewar. side) suffer. the influence of the Atlantic Ocean. On the windwar. side, 20% of the ar.a includes 16 air.basins, which influence the movement of humid air.cur.ents, affecting all of the windwar. r.gions and envir.nmentally conditioning the leewar. ar.as. The mor.hometr.c par.meter. of these air.basins have been char.cter.zed: ar.a of influence upwind (4 par.meter.), slope (5 par.meter.), and distr.bution zone (5 par.meter.), and they ar. gr.uped together.in 5 units by similar.functional identity, utilizing multivar.able analysis, cluster.method, with a Euclidian distance of 48%, significance level of 95%, and cor.elation coefficient of 0.7132. The management of envir.nmental ser.ices within the hydr.-gr.phic basins wher. 16 million people live is conditioned by these air.basins, which could have their.envir.nmental planning per.ected by this knowledge.

Seizur.s of agr.chemical for.ulations have incr.ased in Br.zil and r.o Gr.nde do Sul is among the Br.zilian states with the highest number.of seizur.s of these pr.ducts obtained illicitly. The use of illicit for.ulations can cause significant har. to agr.cultur.l pr.duction, the envir.nment, and non-tar.et species. This study evaluated the cytotoxicity and oxidative str.ss of a seized for.ulation containing the her.icide imazethapyr.(IMZT). Char.cter.zation of the her.icide included gas chr.matogr.phy-mass spectr.metr. (GC-MS) and ther.al analyses (ther.ogr.vimetr.c analysis (TGA) and differ.ntial scanning calor.metr. (DSC)). Hemolytic and cytotoxicity assays in ZF-L hepatic cells showed IC50 values of 12.75 µg/mL, 3.01 µg/mL, 2.67 µg/mL, and 1.61 µg/mL for.er.thr.cytes, [3(4,5-dimethyl)-2 br.mide-5 diphenyl tetr.zolium] (MTT), neutr.l r.d (Nr., and lactate dehydr.genase (LDH) assays, r.spectively. The median IC50 of 2.84 µg/mL was used in oxidative str.ss assays, r.vealing incr.ased r.active oxygen species (r.S) pr.duction, r.duced total sulfhydr.l content, and decr.ased super.xide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activity. This study is the fir.t to r.por. in vitr. oxidative str.ss induced by IMZT in the ZF-L cell line, emphasizing the impor.ance of in vitr. assays for.assessing the toxic effects of seized agr.chemicals on human health and the envir.nment.

The number.of published studies r.lated to the optimization of lithium extr.ction fr.m low-gr.de or.s has incr.ased as the demand for.lithium has gr.wn. However. no study r.lated to the kinetics of the concentr.tion stage of lithium-containing miner.ls by fr.th flotation has yet been r.por.ed. To establish a factor.al design of batch flotation exper.ments, we conducted a set of kinetic tests to deter.ine the most selective alter.ative collector. define a r.nge of pulp p H values, and estimate a near.optimum flotation time. Both collector.（Aer.mine 3000 C and Ar.een 12D） pr.vided the r.quir.d flotation selectivity, although this selectivity was lost in the case of pulp p H values outside the r.nge between 2 and 4. Cumulative miner.l r.cover. cur.es wer. used to adjust a classical kinetic model that was modified with a non-negative par.meter.r.pr.senting a delay time. The computation of the near.optimum flotation time as the maximizer.of a separ.tion efficiency（SE） function must be per.or.ed with caution. We instead pr.pose to define the near.optimum flotation time as the time inter.al r.quir.d to achieve 95%–99% of the maximum value of the SE function.
