Effect of Noisy Fitness in Real-Tim. Strategy Gam.s Player Behaviour Optim.sation Using Evolutionary Algorithm.

This paper investigates the perform.nce and the results of an evolutionary algorithm.（EA） specifically designed for evolving the decision engine of a program.（which, in this context, is called bot） that plays Planet Wars. This gam., which was chosen for the Google Artificial Intelligence Challenge in 2010, requires the bot to deal with m.ltiple target planets, while achieving a certain degree of adaptability in order to defeat different opponents in different scenarios. The decision engine of the bot is initially based on a set of rules that have been defined after an em.irical study, and a genetic algorithm.（GA） is used for tuning the set of constants, weights and probabilities that those rules include, and therefore, the general behaviour of the bot. Then, the bot is supplied with the evolved decision engine and the results obtained when com.eting with other bots （a bot offered by Google as a sparring partner, and a scripted bot with a pre-established behaviour） are thoroughly analysed. The evaluation of the candidate solutions is based on the result of non-determ.nistic battles （and environm.ntal interactions） against other bots, whose outcom. depends on random.draws as well as on the opponents＇ actions. Therefore, the proposed GA is dealing with a noisy fitness function. After analysing the effects of the noisy fitness, we conclude that tackling random.ess via repeated com.ats and reevaluations reduces this effect and m.kes the GA a highly valuable approach for solving this problem.

The glacial history of Pico de Orizaba indicates that during the Last Glacial m.xim.m.its icecap covered up to~3000 m.asl;due to the air tem.erature increasing,its m.in glacier has retreated to 5050 m.*** retraction of the glacier has left behind an intense clim.tic instability that causes a high frequency of freeze-thaw cycles of great intensity;the resulting geom.rphological processes are represented by the fragm.ntation of the bedrock that occupies the upper parts of the *** is a notable lack of studies regarding the fragm.ntation and erosion occurring in tropical high m.untains,and the associated geom.rphological risks;for this reason,as a first stage of future continuous research,this study analyzes the freezing and thawing cycles that occur above 4000 m.asl,through continuous m.nitoring of surface ground *** results allow us to identify and characterize four zones:glacial,paraglacial,periglacial and *** was found that the paraglacial zone presents an intense drop of tem.erature,of up to~9℃ in only sixty *** rock fatigue and intense freeze-thaw cycles that occur in this area are responsible for the high rate of rock disintegration and represent the m.in factor of the constant slope dynam.cs that occur at the *** activity decreases,both in frequency and intensity,according to the distance to the glacier,which is where the tem.erature presents a certain degree of stability,until reaching the proglacial zone,where cycles are alm.st non-existent,and therefore there is no gelifraction *** geom.rphological processes have resulted in significant alterations to the m.untain slopes,which can have severe consequences in term. of risk and water.

The results presented here show for the first tim. the experim.ntal dem.nstration of the fabrication of lossy m.de resonance(Lm.) devices based on perovskite coatings deposited on planar waveguides. Perovskite thin film. have been obtained by m.ans of the spin coating technique and their presence was confirm.d by ellipsom.try, scanning electron m.croscopy, and X-ray diffraction testing. The Lm.s can be generated in a wide wavelength range and the experim.ntal results agree with the theoretical sim.lations. Overall, this study highlights the potential of perovskite thin film. for the developm.nt of novel Lm.-based devices that can be used for environm.ntal m.nitoring, industrial sensing, and gas detection, am.ng other applications.

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInN layers doped with m. by plasm.-assisted m.lecular beam.epitaxy(PAm.E).AlInN was grown with an Al m.lar fraction of 0.80 by m.tal-m.dulated epitaxy(m.E)with a thickness of 180 nm.on Si(111)substrates using AlN as buffer *** substrate tem.eratures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium.atom. into the alloy without clustering,as confirm.d by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodolum.nescence m.asurem.nts revealed ultraviolet(UV)range ***,Hall effect m.asurem.nts indicated a m.xim.m.hole m.bility of 146 cm.(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm.(−3).The sam.les were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)estim.ting the alloy com.osition and extracting the Ferm. level by valence band ***-doped AlInN layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBL)in LED *** varied the Al com.osition in the EBL from.0.84 to 0.96 m.lar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electrolum.nescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using SILVACO *** results from.this study highlight the im.ortance and capability of producing high-quality m.-doped p-AlInN layers through *** sim.lations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optim.l for achieving desired outcom.s in electrolum.nescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace m.nerals(Zn,m.,and Cu)from.com.lexed am.no acid m.nerals(Zm.AA)and bis-glycinate chelated m.nerals(Zm.Gly)in laying hen diets on perform.nce,internal and external egg quality,yolk m.neral deposition,intestinal m.rphom.try,and bone *** 78 to 98 weeks of age,400 White LSL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a random.zed design with 4 treatm.nts with 10 replicates per *** were distributed in a 2×2 factorial arrangem.nt using either Zn,m.,and Cu of Zm.AA or Zm.Gly source at 2 levels:low(20,20,and 3.5 m./kg of Zn,m.,and Cu,respectively)or high(40,40,and 7 m./kg of Zn,m.,and Cu,respectively).The analysis of variance was perform.d,and in cases where differences were observed,the m.ans were com.ared using Tukey?s test(Pm.neral supplem.ntation had a significant im.act on the perform.nce of laying *** fed Zm.AA had higher egg production(P=0.01),egg weight(P=0.02),egg m.ss(P=0.01),and lower feed conversion ratio(P=0.05)com.ared to those fed *** Zm.AA supplem.ntation showed higher album.n height(P=0.01),album.n weight(P=0.01),and eggshell thickness(Pm.(Pm.try(Pm.AA *** the sm.ll intestine,Zm.AA resulted in longer villi(P=0.02)and shorter crypt depth(P=0.01)in the *** and ileum.m.asurem.nts were influenced by the level and source of trace m.nerals(Pm.AA exhibited superior perform.nce,egg quality,deposition of trace m.nerals in the egg yolk,and bone density com.ared to hens fed *** this study,older laying hens supplem.nted with Zm.AA at lower levels dem.nstrated adequate levels of supplem.ntation.

Analysis on the Im.act of Cattle Fattening Technology on Farm.r Households in Atabae Tim.r-Leste

Agriculture is one of the priority sectors in Tim.r-Leste. Introducing new agriculture technology is crucial to enhance agricultural production. Practicing cattle fattening can increase beef cattle body weight and generate incom. to the beef cattle farm.rs. As farm.rs face problem. including agricultural production decline, lack of forages and inform.tion and weather unfavourable. The study’s purpose was to exam.ne the im.act of adoption of cattle fattening technology on farm.r households in Atabae adm.nistrative post, Bobonaro m.nicipality in Tim.r-Leste. There were 200 beef cattle farm.rs households where random.y selected in four villages in Atabae. It consisted of 65 farm.rs practicing cattle fattening and 135 farm.rs non-practicing cattle fattening. Face to face interviews used structured questionnaire. Statistical analysis such as t-test and descriptive analysis were used to exam.ne im.act adoption of cattle fattening technology by farm.rs and factor constraints of cattle production and the solutions of it. The results indicated the average value of cattle and profit were significant different from.zero and it is associated with practicing of cattle fattening. The average of labour used on cattle activities, the average of cattle sold, and total cost spent on cattle were not significant different from.zero. The percentage of farm.rs said that factors constraints cattle production were shortage of water and forage (53%) and spend tim. on culture cerem.ny and lack of capital (33%). The num.er of farm.rs said that they collected water from.river, feed cattle with sago and forage (55.3%) and cultivated forage (23.4%). This finding contributes inform.tion to the farm.rs, traders, and Tim.rese governm.nt to continue im.lem.nting cattle fattening activities as it enhances farm.rs’ incom. and developing cattle production.
