Ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys have being applied to investigate very near-surface stratification of sedimentary units in coastal plains and to define their depositional conditions. This paper presents, however, low-frequency GPR survey to investigate fault-related depositional systems at greater depths. The Quinta-Cassino area in the Rio Grande do sul Coastal Plain (RGsCP, Brazil) shows a wide strandplain that is made off by very long, continuous, and linear geomorphic features (beach ridges). This strandplain extends for ~70 km southward. The beach ridges show low-angle truncations against the Quinta escarpment, and also truncations in the strandplain. The traditional approach points that RGsCP was developed by juxtaposition of four lagoons/barrier systems as consequence of sea level changes;previous model assumes that no deformational episode occurred in RGsCP. The geophysical and geological surveys carried out in this area showed the existence of listric fault controlling the beach ridges in the escarpments and hanging-wall blocks. The radargrams could distinguish Pleistocene basement unit anticlockwise rotation, thickening of beach ridges radarfacies close to listric normal faults, and horst structures. These deformational features indicate that the extensional zone of a large-scale gravity-driven structure controlled the mechanical subsidence, the Holocene sedimentation and its stratigraphic and geomorphic features in the Quinta-Cassino area to build up an asymmetric delta. The results point to a new approach in dealing with RGsCP Holocene evolution.

Analysis on the Impact of Cattle Fattening Technology on Farmer Households in Atabae Timor-Leste

Agriculture is one of the priority sectors in Timor-Leste. Introducing new agriculture technology is crucial to enhance agricultural production. Practicing cattle fattening can increase beef cattle body weight and generate income to the beef cattle farmers. As farmers face problems including agricultural production decline, lack of forages and information and weather unfavourable. The study’s purpose was to examine the impact of adoption of cattle fattening technology on farmer households in Atabae administrative post, Bobonaro municipality in Timor-Leste. There were 200 beef cattle farmers households where randomly selected in four villages in Atabae. It consisted of 65 farmers practicing cattle fattening and 135 farmers non-practicing cattle fattening. Face to face interviews used structured questionnaire. statistical analysis such as t-test and descriptive analysis were used to examine impact adoption of cattle fattening technology by farmers and factor constraints of cattle production and the solutions of it. The results indicated the average value of cattle and profit were significant different from zero and it is associated with practicing of cattle fattening. The average of labour used on cattle activities, the average of cattle sold, and total cost spent on cattle were not significant different from zero. The percentage of farmers said that factors constraints cattle production were shortage of water and forage (53%) and spend time on culture ceremony and lack of capital (33%). The number of farmers said that they collected water from river, feed cattle with sago and forage (55.3%) and cultivated forage (23.4%). This finding contributes information to the farmers, traders, and Timorese government to continue implementing cattle fattening activities as it enhances farmers’ income and developing cattle production.

目的探究黄花菜醇提物(Hemerocallis citrina Baroni,HCE)在利血平(reserpine)诱导的斑马鱼幼鱼(Danio rerio)模型中对抑郁行为的改善作用。方法将斑马鱼幼鱼分为对照(Con)组、利血平组、氟西汀组、黄花菜低剂量组(1.5 mg/L)、黄花菜中剂量组(3 mg/L)、黄花菜高剂量组(4.5 mg/L)。采用斑马鱼声音刺激和光刺激进行抑郁样行为学分析。利用RT-qPCR研究黄花菜醇提物对抑郁症有关的星状胶质细胞标志物及其衍生物基因(GFAP、C3、C4B、EMP-1和s100α-10)以及神经营养因子(BDNF)及其自身受体转录基因(P75、TrkB)的调节功能。结果与对照组相比,模型组在440 Hz声音刺激与8000 Lux光照刺激下运动距离缩短、运动时间减少(P<0.05,P<0.001,P<0.0001),呈现运动的不敏感性。而经过黄花菜醇提物给药后的斑马鱼幼鱼对于光与声音的刺激敏感度相较于模型组有明显升高(P<0.05,P<0.0001)。与对照组相比,利血平组斑马鱼脑中的星形胶质细胞标志物基因表达上调(P<0.0001),而各给药组相较于利血平组,星形胶质细胞标志物表达显著下调(P<0.0001),神经营养因子及其受体基因表达与对照组相比,模型组斑马鱼脑中的BDNF、P75、TrkB下调(P<0.0001),而黄花菜醇提物给药组相较于模型组BDNF、P75、TrkB表达显著上调(P<0.01,P<0.0001)。表明黄花菜醇提物抑制了星形胶质细胞激活诱发的炎症表现,同时促进了神经营养因子及其受体基因的生成,对抑郁起到了改善作用。结论黄花菜醇提物可以改善利血平诱导的斑马鱼幼鱼的抑郁样行为变化,斑马鱼脑中星形胶质细胞标志物的表达量减少,同时促进神经营养因子及其受体基因的生成,起到抗抑郁作用。

BACKGROUND The influence of Helicobacter-pylori(***)infection and the characteristics of gastric cancer(GC)on tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte(TIL)levels has not been extensively *** of infiltrating-immune-cell subtypes as well as survival is necessary to obtain comprehensive *** To determine the rates of deficient mismatch-repair(dMMR),HER2-status and *** infection and their association with TIL levels in *** samples from 503 resected GC tumors were included and TIL levels were evaluated following the international-TILs-working-group recommendations with assessment of the intratumoral(IT),stromal(sT)and invasive-border(IB)*** density of CD3,CD8 and CD163 immune cells,and dMMR and HER2-status were determined by immunohistochemistry(IHC).*** infection was evaluated by routine histology and quantitative PCR(qPCR)in a subset of *** dMMR was found in 34.4%,HER2+in 5%and ***-positive in 55.7%of *** IT-TIL was associated with grade-3(P=0.038),while sT-TIL with grade-1(Pstinal-histology(Ps associated with high TIL levels in the sT(P=0.019)and IB(P=0.01)compartments,and sTCD3(P=0.049)and sT-CD8(P=0.05)***2-was associated with high IT-CD8(P=0.009).*** was associated with high IT-TIL levels(P=0.009)when assessed by routine-histology,and with high TIL levels in the 3 compartments(P=0.002-0.047)and CD8 density in the IT and sT compartments(P=0.001)when assessed by qPCR.A longer overall survival was associated with low IT-CD163(P=0.003)and CD8/CD3(P=0.001 in IT and P=0.002 in sT)and high IT-CD3(P=0.021),sT-CD3(P=0.003)and CD3/CD163(P=0.002).CONCLUsION TIL levels were related to dMMR and *** CD8/CD3 and high CD163/CD3 were associated with lower recurrence and longer survival.

Natural organic matter quantification in the waters of a semiarid freshwater wetland (Tablas de Daimiel, spain)

Dissolved organic matter （DOM） concentrations have been measured in the waters of a semiarid freshwater wetland, the Tablas de Daimiel, spain, when the system-characterised by variable hydroperiodicity conditions, was completely flooded （February 2011）. Fluxes of DOM from the wetland soils to the overlying waters were measured by using a passive diffusion sampler （peeper）. Not only dissolved organic carbon （DOC） concentrations were measured but refractory organic matter （ROM, usually known as humic substances） was also quantified using a novel voltammetric method. Fluorescence spectra were recorded to help in selecting the appropriate standard for ROM quantification, test the homogeneity of DOM in the waters and get an indication of their source. The results obtained show a 7-fold increase in measured ROM concentrations from the Gigtiela River to the outlet, which points to a net exportation of ROM from the wetland and to the existence of an internal source of ROM in the system, probably diffusion from the wetland soils. This hypothesis is confirmed by the flux of ROM from the soils to the water column measured with the peeper and by the common fluorescence characteristics of colunm and interstitial waters. The smaller increase in DOC concentrations along the wetland, in spite of the higher DOC fluxes from soils, suggests that there is significant turnover of organic carbon （OC） in the water column. The system acts as a major carbon sink but, when flooded, exports .OC as DOM.

Factors affecting populations of the endemic Iberian hare(Lepus granatensis)after the first myxomatosis outbreaks in Central spain

The Iberian hare(Lepus granatensis)is an endemic species distributed in spain and *** outbreaks affecting this species were detected in 2018 in Central and southern spain,spreading *** to evaluate factors affecting the status of hare population after the arrival of myxomatosis,we conducted 108 nocturnal hare counts in Central spain during two study periods(winter/spring and summer/autumn)in 54 different hunting grounds,covering 1071 km and observing 884 *** mean density in winter/spring was 7.66 hares/100 ha,(range 6.14-9.54/100 ha),while in summer/autumn,it was 3.4 hares/100 ha(range 2.6-4.4/100 ha).Densities of hares were not affected by the dominant habitat and the presence/absence of myxomatosis *** were more abundant at hunting grounds at a higher altitude and in those conducting targeted management,while detection of myxomatosis was related to lower altitude and higher levels of game management.A MaxEnt model used to generate a risk map for myxomatosis occurrence showed that the temperature annual range was the most important predictor,which suggests that environmental factors affecting myxomatosis vectors(mosquitoes,fleas,and ticks)could play a key role in disease *** myxomatosis in hares is becoming endemic,hare densities may be improved by game management and the monitoring and surveillance of this emerging *** surveillance programs could be the basis of effective collaborations between hunters,researchers,and environmental managers.
