Mixed neuroendocrine non-neuroendocrine neoplasms(MiNENs)are a hetero-geneous group of malignant neoplasms that can settle in the gastroenteropan-creatic *** are composed of a neuroendocrine(NE)and a non-NE compo-nent in at least 30%of each *** non-NE component can include different histological combinations of glandular,squamous,mucinous and sarcomatoid phenotypes,and one or both of the components can be low-or high grade *** changes in the nomenclature of these neoplasms might lead to great deal of confusion,and the lack of specific clinical trials is the main reason why their management is *** review aims to clarify the definition of MiNEN and analyze available evidence about their diagnosis and treatment options according to their location and extension through careful analysis of the available *** would be important to reach a general consensus on their diagnosis in order to construct a classification that remains stable over time and facilitates the design of clinical trials that,due to their low incidence,will require long recruitment periods.

Venom snake-derived peptides have multiple biochemical,pharmacological,and toxicological proﬁles,allowing for the discovery of new medicinal products and therapeutic *** review speciﬁcally examines the fundamental elements of neuroprotection offered by different oligopeptides derived from snake *** also includes a brief evaluation of short peptides that are being considered as potential therapeutic ***-rich peptides and tryptophyllin family peptides isolated from the crude venom of Viperidae family snakes,speciﬁcally Bothrops atrox,Bothrops jararaca,and Bothrops moojeni,have been shown to have pro-survival properties,the ability to reduce oxidative stress,and the ability to promote cell viability and mitochondrial *** signiﬁcant mechanisms are related to the neuroprotection mediated by snake venom oligopeptides:(1)Activation of the L-arginine metabolite pathway,such as polyamines from ornithine metabolism,which reduces N-methyl-d-aspartate(NMdA)-type glutamate receptor activity;(2)Enhancement of cell viability by activating the nerve growth factor-signaling pathway;and(3)Activation of the Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor subtype M1(mAChR-M1).These small peptides show promise as neuroprotective agents against a variety of neurodegenerative disorders.

In this article, we investigate the nonrelativistic quantum motion of a charged particle within a rotating frame, taking into account the Aharonov–Bohm(AB) effect and a uniform magnetic field. Our analysis entails the derivation of the equation of motion and the corresponding radial equation to describe the system. Solving the resulting radial equation enables us to determine the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions, providing a clear expression for the energy levels. Furthermore,our numerical analysis highlights the substantial influence of rotation on both energy levels and optical properties. Specifically, we evaluate the photoionization cross-section with and without the effects of rotation. To elucidate the impact of rotation on the photoionization process of the system, we present graphics that offer an appealing visualization of the intrinsic nature of the physics involved.

A Novel derivation of Black Hole Entropy in all dimensions from Truly Point Mass Sources

It is explicitly shown how the Schwarzschild Black Hole Entropy (in all dimensions) emerges from truly point mass sources at r=0due to a non-vanishing scalar curvature involving the dirac delta distribution. In order to achieve this, one is required to extend the domain of r to negative values −∞≤r≤+∞. It is the density and anisotropic pressure components associated with the point mass delta function source at the origin r=0which furnish the Schwarzschild black hole entropy in all dimensions d≥4after evaluating the Euclidean Einstein-Hilbert action. Two of the most salient results are i) that the observed spacetime dimension d=4is precisely singled out from all the other dimensions when the strong and weak energy conditions are met, and ii) the point mass source described in this work is not the result of a spherically symmetric gravitational collapse of a star as described by the Oppenheimer-Snyder model because we are not neglecting the pressure. As usual, it is required to take the inverse Hawking temperature βHas the length of the circle Sβ1obtained from a compactification of the Euclidean time in thermal field theory which results after a Wick rotation, it=τ, to imaginary time. This approach can be generalized to the Reissner-Nordstrom and Kerr-Newman metrics. The physical implications of this finding warrant further investigation since it suggests a profound connection between the notion of gravitational entropy and spacetime singularities.

Pumping ventilation(PV),a special single-sided ventilation(SSV),has been certified as an effective strategy to improve the air exchange rate of ***,most studies targeted on the single space,and few studies have been focused on the effect of internal partitioning on *** paper aims to evaluate the ventilation performance of PV influenced by different configurations of internal *** fluid dynamics(CFd)simulation was used to predict the flow fields and ventilation *** width(w/H),height(h/H)and location(d/H)are the three main internal partition parameters considered in this *** simulation results showed that the total,mean and fluctuating ventilation rates all decrease with wider internal *** normalized total ventilation rate decreases by 7.6%when w/H is increased from 50%to 75%.However,the reduction rate is only 0.23%between w/H=0 and 25%,and only 0.61%between w/H=25%and 50%.The ventilation rate is hardly reduced by increasing the partition width when w/Hduced by wider partition for w/H>50%.Increasing the partition height will reduce the mean ventilation rate but promote the fluctuating and total ventilation rate in some *** increase of total ventilation rate by 1.4%is observed from h/H=50%to 75%.The ventilation rate is larger when the internal partition is attached to the leeward or windward *** total,mean and fluctuating ventilation rates for d/H=50%are relatively higher than d/H=0 by 1.5%,3.1%and 0.8%,*** the internal partition should be mounted attached to the windward wall so as to obtain the greatest pumping ventilation *** periodicity of pumping flow oscillation and pumping frequency are independent of the partition *** peak power of pumping flow is the lowest for the widest internal partition and is negatively affected by the partition height,but it generally has a positive correlation with the distance between the partition and leeward wa
