Re-estimating the changes and ranges of forest biomass carbon in China during the past 40 years

Background: In recent decades the future of global forests has been a matter of increasing concern, particularly in relation to the threat of forest ecosystem responses under potential climate change. To the future predictions of these responses, the current forest biomass carbon storage(FCS) should first be clarified as much as possible,especially at national scales. However, few studies have introduced how to verify an FCS estimate by delimiting the reasonable ranges. This paper addresses an estimation of national FCS and its verification using two-step process to narrow the uncertainty. Our study focuses on a methodology for reducing the uncertainty resulted by converting from growing stock volume to above-and below-ground biomass(AB biomass), so as to eliminate the significant bias in national scale ***: We recommend splitting the estimation into two parts, one part for stem and the other part for AB biomass to preclude possible significant bias. Our method estimates the stem biomass from volume and wood density(WD), and converts the AB biomass from stem biomass by using allometric ***: Based on the presented two-step process, the estimation of China’s FCS is performed as an example to explicate how to infer the ranges of national FCS. The experimental results demonstrate a national FCS estimation within the reasonable ranges(relative errors: + 4.46% and-4.44%), e.g., 5.6–6.1 PgC for China’s forest ecosystem at the beginning of the 2010 s. These ranges are less than 0.52 PgC for confirming each FCS estimate of different periods during the last 40 years. In addition, our results suggest the upper-limits by specifying a highly impractical value of WD(0.7 t·m-3) on the national scale. As a control reference, this value decides what estimate is impossible to achieve for the FCS ***: Presented methodological analysis highlights the possibility to determine a range that the true value could be located in. N6-Methyladenosine(m^(6)A)is one of the most abundant modifications of eukaryotic mRNA,but its comprehensive biological functionality remains further *** this study,we identified and characterized a new flowering-promoting gene,EARLY HEADING DATE6(EHD6),in ***6 encodes an RNA recognition motif(RRM)-containing RNA binding protein that is localized in the non-membranous cytoplasm ribonucleoprotein(RNP)granules and can bind both m^(6)A-modified RNA and unmodified RNA *** found that EHD6 can physically interact with YTH07,a YTH(YT521-B homology)domain-containing m^(6)A *** showed that their interaction enhances the binding of an m^(6)A-modified RNA and triggers relocation of a portion of YTH07 from the cytoplasm into RNP granules through phase-separated *** these condensates,the mRNA of a rice flowering repressor,CONSTANS-like 4(OsCOL4),becomes sequestered,leading to a reduction in its protein abundance and thus accelerated flowering through the Early heading date 1 *** together,these results not only shed new light on the molecular mechanism of efficient m^(6)A recognition by the collaboration between an RNA binding protein and YTH family m^(6)A reader,but also uncover the potential for m^(6)A-mediated translation regulation through phaseseparated ribonucleoprotein condensation in rice.

目的探讨人性化护理对手术室护理质量以及患者满意度的影响。方法选取2015年7月到2016年7月间在我院进行手术的400例患者,随机分为两组各200例。对照组患者进行常规护理,观察组患者在常规护理基础上进行人性化护理,比较两组患者的护理质量评分、心理评分以及满意度。结果护理后,观察组的护理质量评分显著高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。护理后,观察组患者的SAS、SDS评分均显著低于对照组,满意度显著高于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论人性化护理可有效提高手术室护理质量,改善患者的焦虑和抑郁等负面情绪,提升患者与家属的满意度。

High Throughput Sequencing of circRNAs in Tomato Leaves Responding to Multiple Stresses of Drought and Heat

Our aim is to study the roles of a new emerging group of non-coding RNAs, circRNAs, in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum L.) plants grown at the combination of drought and heat, two of the most usual stress conditions known to frequently happen in field. Tomato seedlings from cultivar‘Jinling Meiyu’ were treated without stresses(control), at water shortage, high temperature and subjected the multiple stresses. In total, 467 circRNAs were identified with 87.82% from exon using high throughput sequencing technology. Among the circRNAs, 70 were from chr1 with the range from 23 to 49 from the other chromosomes. In detail, 156 circRNAs were shared in the four libraries, while 21, 17 and 36 circRNAs were only shown in drought, heat and multiple stresses libraries, respectively. Through a differential expression analysis, four, seven and nine circRNAs were differentially regulated in tomato at drought, heat and multiple stresses as compared with control. These circRNAs played roles on photosynthesis, starch and sucrose metabolism, RNA transport, RNA degradation, spliceosome, ribosome, etc. Our study underlined the potential role of circRNAs involved in the abiotic stress response in tomato, which might pave the way for studying biological roles of circRNAs responding to multiple stresses in plants.

BACKGROUND ： Many experimental results have been found in previous studies on whether laterality of brain cingulate gyrus exists in processing Chinese words information. OBJECTIVE ： To observe the function of right anterior cingulate gyrus and activation showed by MRI in processing Chinese words in a visual working memory judgment tasks, and evaluate the laterality of activated brain regions. DESIGN ： Observation experiment SETTING ： The Medical Psychological Research Center, Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.PARTICIPANTS： Thirteen healthy volunteers （7 males and 6 females）, aged （29±7）years ranging from 23 to 36 years old, participated in this fMRI study dunng August 2003 to Febuary 2004. They gave informed consent in accordance with guidelines set by Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. All subjects were native Chinese speakers and strongly right handed. METHODS ： In this study, Chinese numeral words were used as test materials and test mode of Sternberg was used in cognitive task, it was aimed to investigate the encephalic region involved in the storage and processing of Chinese numerical information. ①The head of subject was fixed with dense foam pad. Visual working task was performed according to the requests. Verbal working task was that the subject saw target items for four numerals written in Chinese, presenting for 1.5 s and then, after a short time by blank for 3.0 s. The subject saw one numeral presenting for 1.5 s and had to press one button if it was one of the shown numbers and another button if it did not belong to the presented numbers. There were two visual working memory stimuli in each stimulation block. The experiment was conducted in a single run, which consisted of seven blocks of visual working memory tasks. Different Chinese numerals were displayed in each block to avoid any practice effect （The response rate of the whole working memory task was 50%）. ②The activation of brain was scanned with a 1.5T
