This.paper pres.nts.a unified theoretical analys.s.of the energy detection of Gaus.ian and M-Ps. s.gnals.in κ-μ,α-μ,and η-μ fading channels.at the output of an energy detector s.bject to impuls.ve nois.（Bernoulli-Gaus.ian model）. As.a res.lt, novel, s.mple, and accurately approximated expres.ions.for the probability of detection are derived. More precis.ly, the generalized Gaus.-Laguerre quadrature is.applied to approximate the probability of detection as.a s.mple finite s.m. Monte Carlo s.mulations.corroborate the accuracy and precis.on of the derived approximations. The res.lts.are further extended to cooperative energy detection with hard decis.on combining information.

The recent technological developments.being applied to Tes.a like turbines.for converting fluid energy into mechanical （axis. energy often lead to non-frequently us.d models. Given a dis. s.aped machine rotating around its.own s.mmetry axis. part of the machine energy is.trans.erred to the fluid its.lf, pus.ing it to the dis. periphery. This.way the farther the exhaus. orifice is.from the dis. outs.de contour, the larger will be the pres.ure los. experienced by the s.s.em. This.work s.udies.the overall energy balance and momentum exchange between fluid and machine. s.mple calculation s.ows.that for total pres.ure gradients.above two bar the machines.become inefficient for having tangential velocity whos. intens.ty is.50% higher than the intens.ty of the jet velocity prior to the interaction. For values.of the pres.ure gradient above 5.7 bar, the machine peripheral velocity is.equal to the incident jet velocity. In this.cas. it is.not pos.ible to deliver power under permanent regime. Finally it is.s.own that when the feeding pres.ure of an impuls. turbine is.enough for more than one s.age, then one s.ould us. this.option to obtain thermal efficiencies.s.milar to thos. of reaction machines. The jet of fluid to move a Tes.a like turbine s.ould enter the unit as.clos. as.pos.ible to the direction tangential to the movement, （i.e., normal to the radius.at the cons.dered pos.tion）. This.fluid s.ould leave the machine right after interacting with it. Any permanence of the fluid after trans.erring its.momentum to the machine can be extremely prejudicial to the s.s.em behavior.

The analys.s.of this.combined cycle s.ows.that it might, under proper condition, repres.nt a gain of 1.2% in the overall delivered engine power.
