From 0D to 3D:Hierarchical structured high-performance free-standing silicon anodes based on binder-induced topological network architecture

Free-standing silicon anodes with high proportion of active materials have aroused great attention;however,the mechanical stability and electrochemical performance are severely suppressed.Herein,to resolve the appeal issues,a free-standing anode with a"corrugated paper"shape on micro-scale and a topological crosslinking network on the submicron and nano-scale is designed.Essentially,an integrated three-dimensional electrode structure is constructed based on robust carbon nanotubes network with firmly anchored SiNPs via forming interlocking junctions.In which,the hierarchical interlocking structure is achieved by directional induction of the binder,which ensures well integration during cycling so that significantly enhances mechanical stability as well as electronic and ionic conductivity of electrodes.Benefiting from it,this anode exhibits outsta nding performance under harsh service conditions including high Si loading,ultrahigh areal capacity(33.2 mA h cm^(-2)),and high/low temperatures(-15-60℃),which significantly extends its practical prospect.Furthermore,the optimization mechanism of this electrode is explored to verify the crack-healing and structure-integration maintaining along cycling via a unique self-stabilization process.Thus,from both the fundamental and engineering views,this strategy offers a promising path to produce high-performance free-standing electrodes for flexible device applications especially facing volume effect challenges.

Electrostatic generator enhancements for powering IoT nodes via efficient energy management

Electrostatic generators show great potential for powering widely distributed electronic devices in Internet of Things(IoT)applications.However,a critical issue limiting such generators is their high impedance mismatch when coupled to electronics,which results in very low energy utilization efficiency.Here,we present a high-performance energy management unit(EMU)based on a spark-switch tube and a buck converter with an RF inductor.By optimizing the elements and parameters of the EMU,a maximum direct current output power of 79.2 mW m^(-2)rps^(-1)was reached for a rotary electret generator with the EMU,achieving 1.2 times greater power output than without the EMU.Furthermore,the maximum power of the contact-separated triboelectric nanogenerator with an EMU is 1.5 times that without the EMU.This excellent performance is attributed to the various optimizations,including utilizing an ultralow-loss spark-switch tube with a proper breakdown voltage,adding a matched input capacitor to enhance available charge,and incorporating an RF inductor to facilitate the high-speed energy transfer process.Based on this extremely efficient EMU,a compact self-powered wireless temperature sensor node was demonstrated to acquire and transmit data every 3.5 s under a slight wind speed of 0.5 m/s.This work greatly promotes the utilization of electrostatic nanogenerators in practical applications,particularly in IoT nodes.

Design and verification of an FPGA programmable logic element based on Sense-Switch pFLASH

This paper proposes a kind of programmable logic element(PLE)based on Sense-Switch pFLASH technology.By programming Sense-Switch pFLASH,all three-bit look-up table(LUT3)functions,partial four-bit look-up table(LUT4)functions,latch functions,and d flip flop(DFF)with enable and reset functions can be realized.Because PLE uses a choice of operational logic(COOL)approach for the operation of logic functions,it allows any logic circuit to be implemented at any ratio of combinatorial logic to register.This intrinsic property makes it close to the basic application specific integrated circuit(ASIC)cell in terms of fine granularity,thus allowing ASIC-like cell-based mappers to apply all their optimization potential.By measuring Sense-Switch pFLASH and PLE circuits,the results show that the“on”state driving current of the Sense-Switch pFLASH is about 245.52μA,and that the“off”state leakage current is about 0.1 pA.The programmable function of PLE works normally.The delay of the typical combinatorial logic operation AND3 is 0.69 ns,and the delay of the sequential logic operation DFF is 0.65 ns,both of which meet the requirements of the design technical index.

BACKGROUND:This meta-analysis aimed to assess the efficacy of high-dose glucose-insulinpotassium(GIK) therapy on clinical outcomes in acute coronary syndrome(ACS) patients receiving reperfusion therapy.METHODS:We searched the PubMed,Web of Science,MEDLINE,Embase,and Cochrane Library databases from inception to April 26,2022,for randomized controlled trials(RCTs) that compared high-dose GIK and placebos in ACS patients receiving reperfusion therapy.The primary endpoint was major adverse cardiovascular events(MACEs).RESULTS:Eleven RCTs with 884 patients were ultimately included.Compared with placebos,high-dose GIK markedly reduced MACEs(risk ratio [RR] 0.57,95% confidence interval [95% CI]:0.35 to 0.94,P=0.03) and the risk of heart failure(RR 0.48,95% CI:0.25 to 0.95,P=0.04) and improved the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)(mean difference [MD] 2.12,95% CI:0.40 to 3.92,P=0.02) at 6 months.However,no difference was observed in all-cause mortality at 30 d or 1 year.Additionally,high-dose GIK was significantly associated with increased incidences of phlebitis(RR 4.78,95% CI:1.36 to 16.76,P=0.01),hyperglycemia(RR 9.06,95% CI:1.74 to 47.29,P=0.009) and hypoglycemia(RR 6.50,95% CI:1.28 to 33.01,P=0.02) but not reinfarction,hyperkalemia or secondary reperfusion.In terms of oxidative stress-lowering function,high-dose GIK markedly reduced superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity but not glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) or catalase(CAT) activity.CONCLUSION:Patients with ACS receiving reperfusion therapy exhibited a reduction in MACEs and good oxidative stress-lowering eflcacy in response to high-dose GIK.Moreover,with a higher incidence of complications such as phlebitis,hyperglycemia,and hypoglycemia.Furthermore,there were no observed survival benefits associated with high-dose GIK.More trials with long-term follow-up are still needed.

Analysis of risk factors of suicidal ideation in adolescent patients with depression and construction of prediction model

BACKGROUND Major depressive disorder is a common mental illness among adolescents and is the largest disease burden in this age group.Most adolescent patients with depression have suicidal ideation(SI);however,few studies have focused on the factors related to SI,and effective predictive models are lacking.AIM To construct a risk prediction model for SI in adolescent depression and provide a reference assessment tool for prevention.METHODS The data of 150 adolescent patients with depression at the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang from June 2020 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.Based on whether or not they had SI,they were divided into a SI group(n=91)and a non-SI group(n=59).The general data and laboratory indices of the two groups were compared.Logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing SI in adolescent patients with depression,a nomogram prediction model was constructed based on the analysis results,and internal evaluation was performed.Receiver operating characteristic and calibration curves were used to evaluate the model’s efficacy,and the clinical application value was evaluated using decision curve analysis(DCA).RESULTS There were differences in trauma history,triggers,serum ferritin levels(SF),highsensitivity C-reactive protein levels(hs-CRP),and high-density lipoprotein(HDLC)levels between the two groups(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that trauma history,predisposing factors,SF,hs-CRP,and HDL-C were factors influencing SI in adolescent patients with depression.The area under the curve of the nomogram prediction model was 0.831(95%CI:0.763–0.899),sensitivity was 0.912,and specificity was 0.678.The higher net benefit of the DCA and the average absolute error of the calibration curve were 0.043,indicating that the model had a good fit.CONCLUSION The nomogram prediction model based on trauma history,triggers,ferritin,serum hs-CRP,and HDL-C levels can effectively predict the risk of SI in adolescent patients with depression.

What is already known about this topic?Vitamin A deficiency(VAD)is a leading global nutritional concern,ranking among the top four major nutritional deficiencies worldwide.The prevalence of VAD is unevenly distributed across various regions,both within China and globally.What is added by this report?The report adds valuable insights into the vitamin A nutritional status of rural students aged 6–17 years who participated in the Nutrition Improvement Programme for Rural Compulsory Education Students(NIPRCES).Over the decade from 2012 to 2021,there was a modest improvement in vitamin A status.The prevalence of VAD and sub-clinical VAD(SVAD)declined as the students aged.Throughout the majority of the survey years,the incidence of VAD was higher among males and western regions compared to females and central regions,respectively.What are the implications for public health practice?A comprehensive approach,incorporating dietary diversification,nutrition education,and food fortification,should be implemented to prevent VAD and SVAD especially in males,younger children and children in western areas.

Distributed generalized Nash equilibrium seeking:event-triggered coding-decoding-based secure communication

In this paper, we consider the distributed generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE) seeking problem in strongly monotone games. The transmission among players is implemented through a digital communication network with limited bandwidth. For improving communication efficiency or/and security, an event-triggered coding-decoding-based communication is first proposed, where the data(decision variable) are first mapped to a series of finite-level codewords and, only when an event condition is satisfied, then sent to the neighboring agents. Moreover, a distributed communication-efficient GNE seeking algorithm is constructed accordingly,and the overrelaxation scheme is further taken into consideration. Through primal-dual analysis, the proposed algorithm is proven to converge to a variational GNE with fixed step-sizes by recasting it as an inexact forward-backward iteration. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the benefit of the proposed algorithms in terms of saving communication resources.

Sulfur vacancies and heterogeneous interfaces promote high performance sodium storage of bimetallic chalcogenide hollow nanospheres

Transition metal sulfides have high theoretical capacities and are considered as potential anode materials for sodium-ion batteries.However,due to low inherent conductivity and significant volume expansion,the electrochemical performance is greatly limited.In this study,a nickel/manganese sulfide material(Ni0.96Sx/MnSy-NC) with adjustable sulfur vacancies and heterogeneous hollow spheres was prepared using a simple method.The introduction of a concentration-adjustable sulfur vacancy enables the generation of a heterogeneous interface between bimetallic sulfide and sulfur vacancies.This interface collectively creates an internal electric field,improving the mobility of electrons and ions,increasing the number of electrochemically active sites,and further optimizing the performance of Na+storage.The direction of electron flow is confirmed by Density functional theory（DFT） calculations.The hollow nano-spherical material provides a buffer for expansion,facilitating rapid transfer kinetics.Our innovative discovery involves the interaction between the ether-based electrolyte and copper foil,leading to the formation of Cu9S5,which grafts the active material and copper current collector,reinforcing mechanical supporting.This results in a new heterostructure of Cu9S5with Ni0.96Sx/MnSy,contributing to the stabilization of structural integrity for long-cycle performance.Therefore,Ni0.96Sx/MnSy-NC exhibits excellent electrochemical properties following our modification route.Regarding stability performance,Ni0.96Sx/MnSy-NC demonstrates an average decay rate of 0.00944% after 10,000 cycles at an extremely high current density of 10000 mA g-1,A full cell with a high capacity of 304.2 mA h g-1was also successfully assembled by using Na3V2（PO4）3/C as the cathode.This study explores a novel strategy for interface/vacancy co-modification in the fabrication of high-performance sodium-ion batteries electrode.

Research on the Relationship Between Environmental and Economic Coupling Systems in Bohai Bay Area Based on a Vector Autoregression(VAR)Model

This study analyzed the impact of land-based contaminants and tertiary industrial structure on economic development in the selected Bohai Bay area,China.Based on panel data spanning 2011-2020,a vector autoregressive(VAR)model is used to analyze and forecast the short-run and long-run relationships between three industrial structures,pollutant discharge,and economic development.The results showed that the environmental index had a long-term cointegration relationship with the industrial structure economic index.Per capital chemical oxygen demand(PCOD)and per capita ammonia nitrogen(PNH_(3)N)had a positive impact on delta per capita GDP(dPGDP),while per capita solid waste(PSW),the secondary industry rate(SIR)and delta tertiary industry(dTIR)had a negative impact on dPGDP.The VAR model under this coupling system had stability and credibility.The impulse response results showed that the short-term effect of the coupling system on dPGDP was basically consistent with the Granger causality test results.In addition,variance decomposition was used in this study to predict the long-term impact of the coupling system in the next ten periods(i.e.,ten years).It was found that dTIR had a great impact on dPGDP,with a contribution rate as high as 74.35%in the tenth period,followed by the contribution rate of PCOD up to 3.94%,while the long-term contribution rates of PSW,SIR and PNH3N were all less than 1%.The results show that the government should support the development of the tertiary industry to maintain the vitality of economic development and prevent environmental deterioration.

ATAT1 deficiency enhances microglia/macrophage-mediated erythrophagocytosis and hematoma absorption following intracerebral hemorrhage

MIcroglia/macrophage-mediated erythrophagocytosis plays a crucial role in hematoma clearance after intracerebral hemorrhage.Dynamic cytoskeletal changes accompany phagocytosis.However,whether and how these changes are associated with microglia/macrophage-mediated erythrophagocytosis remain unclear.In this study,we investigated the function of acetylatedα-tubulin,a stabilized microtubule form,in microglia/macrophage erythrophagocytosis after intracerebral hemorrhage both in vitro and in vivo.We first assessed the function of acetylatedα-tubulin in erythrophagocytosis using primary DiO GFP-labeled red blood cells co-cultured with the BV2 microglia or RAW264.7 macrophage cell lines.Acetylatedα-tubulin expression was significantly decreased in BV2 and RAW264.7 cells during erythrophagocytosis.Moreover,silencingα-tubulin acetyltransferase 1(ATAT1),a newly discoveredα-tubulin acetyltransferase,decreased Ac-α-tub levels and enhanced the erythrophagocytosis by BV2 and RAW264.7 cells.Consistent with these findings,in ATAT1-/-mice,we observed increased ionized calcium binding adapter molecule 1(Iba1)and Perls-positive microglia/macrophage phagocytes of red blood cells in peri-hematoma and reduced hematoma volume in mice with intracerebral hemorrhage.Additionally,knocking out ATAT1 alleviated neuronal apoptosis and pro-inflammatory cytokines and increased anti-inflammatory cytokines around the hematoma,ultimately improving neurological recovery of mice after intracerebral hemorrhage.These findings suggest that ATAT1 deficiency accelerates erythrophagocytosis by microglia/macrophages and hematoma absorption after intracerebral hemorrhage.These results provide novel insights into the mechanisms of hematoma clearance and suggest ATAT1 as a potential target for the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage.
