Halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have already demonstrated power conversion efficiencies above 25%,which makes them one of the most attractive photovoltaic ***,one of the main bottlenecks towards their commercialization is their long-term stability,which should exceed the 20-year *** engineering is an effective pathway for the enhancement of device *** applied as organic or inorganic compounds,improve crystal grain growth enhancing power conversion *** interaction of their functional groups with the halide perovskite(HP)absorber,as well as with the transport layers,results in defect passivation and ion immobilization improving device performance and *** this review,we briefly summarize the different types of additives recently applied in PSC to enhance not only efficiency but also long-term *** discuss the different mechanism behind additive engineering and the role of the functional groups of these additives for defect *** emphasis is given to their effect on the stability of PSCs under environmental conditions such as humidity,atmosphere,light irradiation(UV,visible)or heat,taking into account the recently reported ISOS *** also discuss the relation between deep-defect passivation,non-radiative recombination and device efficiency,as well as the possible relation between shallow-defect passivation,ion immobilization and device operational ***,insights into the challenge and criteria for additive selection are provided for the further stability enhancement of PSCs.

Utilization of polyethyleneglycol （PEg） functionalized zinc phthalocyanine, （PEg）4ZnPc in （i） singlet oxygen generation, and （ii） in building energy harvesting donor-acceptor systems using fullerene, C60 as an acceptor via the well-known metal-ligand axial coordination approach is reported. The （PEg）4ZnPe was found to be capable of producing singlet oxygen with a quantum yield, ooa of 0.77 in toluene, a value higher than that obtained for pristine （t-bu）4ZnPc （φ△=0.54） carrying no PEg groups, revealing its usefulness in photodynamic therapy applications. Spectroscopic studies revealed efficient binding of phenylimidazole functionalized fullerene, C60 Im with l ： 1 stoichiometry to （PEg）4ZnPc. Binding constant K for the formation of （PEg）4ZnPc：ImC60 dyad was found to be 6 × 103 M 1 revealing moderate stability. geometric and electronic studies of the dyad was arrived by B3LYP/3-21g（＊） method. The HOMO level was found to be on zinc phthalocyanine entity while the LUMO level was found to be on the C60 entity suggesting formation of （PEg）4ZnPc＊＋：ImC60＊ charge separated state during the process of electron transfer reaction. Redox studies on the （PEg）4ZnPc：ImC60 dyad enabled accurate determination of the oxidation and reduction potentials of the donor-acceptor system, and to evaluate free-energy changes associated for the charge separation process. Kinetics of photoinduced charge separation and recombination in the （PEg）4ZnPc：ImC60 dyad was investigated using femtosecond transient absorption studies. Relatively long-lived charge separated states were confirmed for the dyad suggesting their potential usefulness in energy harvesting applications.

Flavescence dorée(FD)is a destructive phytoplasma disease of European *** and cultivardependent recovery(REC)may occur in the field in FD-infected vines starting the year following the first ***,the biological underpinnings of this process are still largely *** this study,transcriptome sequencing(RNAseq),whole-genome bisulphite sequencing(WgBS)and metabolite analysis were combined to dissect molecular and metabolic changes associated to FD and REC in leaf veins collected in the field from healthy(H),FD and REC plants of the highly susceptible Vitis vinifera‘Barbera’.genes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis,carbohydrate metabolism and stress responses were overexpressed in FD conditions,whereas transcripts linked to hormone and stilbene metabolisms were upregulated in REC *** patterns of abscisic acid and stilbenoid compounds analysed in the same samples confirmed the RNAseq *** recovery conditions,we also observed the persistence of some FD-induced expression changes concerning inhibition of photosynthetic processes and stress *** differentially expressed genes tied to those pathways also underwent post-transcriptional regulation by microRNAs,as outlined by merging our transcriptomic data set with a previously conducted smallRNAseq *** by WgBS analysis also revealed different DNA methylation marks between REC and H leaves,occurring within the promoters of genes tied to photosynthesis and secondary *** results allowed us to advance the existence of a“molecular memory”of FDp infection,involving alterations in the DNA methylation status of REC plants potentially related to transcriptional reprogramming events,in turn triggering changes in hormonal and secondary metabolite profiles.

During the last decades,the use of nanotechnology in med icine has effectively been translated to the design of drug delivery systems,nanostructured tissues,diagnostic platforms,and novel nanomaterials against several human diseases and infectious ***-enabled vaccines have been positioned as solutions to mitigate the pandemic outbreak caused by the novel pathogen severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus *** fast-track the development of vaccines,unprecedented industrial and academic collaborations emerged around the world,resulting in the clinical translation of effective vaccines in less than one *** this article,we provide an overview of the path to translation from the bench to the clinic of nanotechnology-enabled messenger ribonucleic acid vaccines and examine in detail the types of delivery systems used,their mechanisms of action,obtained results during each phase of their clinical development and their regulatory approval *** also analyze how nanotechnology is impacting global health and economy during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

BACKgROUND Patients with a history of solid organ transplantation(SOT)or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)are at an increased risk of developing post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder(PTLD).The gastrointestinal(gI)tract is commonly affected as it has an abundance of B and T *** To determine typical gI-manifestations,risk factors for developing PTLD,and *** Major databases were searched until November *** Non-case report studies that described gI manifestations of PTLD,risk factors for developing PTLD,and management of PTLD were *** articles written within the last 20 years were included in the *** articles found that patients with a history of SOT,regardless of transplanted organ,have a propensity to develop *** gI tract manifestations may be nonspecific;therefore,consideration of risk factors is crucial for identifying *** other lymphoma variants,PTLD is very aggressive making early diagnosis key to *** treatment is reduction of immunosuppression which is effective in more than 50%of cases;however,additional therapy including rituximab,chemotherapy,and surgery may also be required.

Analyzing Computational Components of Standard Block Encryption Schemes

Encryption is used to secure sensitive computer data which may be at rest or in motion. There are several standard encryption algorithms that have been used to encrypt and protect blocks of sensitive data to ensure confidentiality. The most popular standard block encryption schemes are the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES), and the first standardized encryption scheme, which is no longer the standard scheme now, namely the Data Encryption Standard (DES). AES is the current standard for block encryption used worldwide and is implemented on many processors. In this work, we compare the hardware performance of these three encryption schemes. First, we identified the underlying computational components for these three encryption schemes, and then we analyzed to what extent these computational components were being used in these block encryption schemes to encrypt and decrypt a given message. In this paper, we compared the contribution of these computational components to evaluate the overall encryption efficiency in terms of speed and computational delays for encrypting a given block of data for a given hardware platform. AES was found to be the faster scheme in terms of hardware computation speed in accomplishing the same encryption task compared to the other two block encryption schemes, namely, the DES and 3DES schemes.

OBJECTIVE: To identify current SLP practice patterns in concussion care, clarify definitions of common cognitive retraining terminology, and establish areas of growth in clinical practice and research. METHOD: An online 10 question survey to collect data on assessment and practice components. Total 79 respondents from ASHA Special Interest group 2 Neurogenic Communication Disorders website participated. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. RESULTS: Patient education and symptom management were regular components of cognitive retraining with concussion. Smaller percentage included cognitive endurance building. Further analysis identified variation in how clinicians defined terms: patient education, symptom management, and cognitive endurance building. Discrepancies noted with diagnostic tools, with one quarter using screening tools as primary assessment. CONCLUSION: Strong knowledge base to support differential diagnosis and therapeutic plan is critical to optimize outcomes in concussion care. Consistency with terminology use can reduce the risk of confusion but also support the value of what SLPs contribute to an interdisciplinary concussion team.
