Metamaterial terahertz device with temperature regulation function that can achieve perfect absorption and complete reflection conversion of ultrawideband

The field of terahertz devices is important in terahertz technology. However, most of the current devices have limited functionality and poor performance. To improve device performance and achieve multifunctionality, we designed a terahertz device based on a combination of VO2and metamaterials. This device can be tuned using the phase-transition characteristics of VO2, which is included in the triple-layer structure of the device, along with SiO2and Au. The terahertz device exhibits various advantageous features, including broadband coverage, high absorption capability, dynamic tunability, simple structural design, polarization insensitivity, and incidentangle insensitivity. The simulation results showed that by controlling the temperature, the terahertz device achieved a thermal modulation range of spectral absorption from 0 to 0.99. At 313 K, the device exhibited complete reflection of terahertz waves. As the temperature increased,the absorption rate also increased. When the temperature reached 353 K, the device absorption rate exceeded 97.7% in the range of 5–8.55 THz. This study used the effective medium theory to elucidate the correlation between conductivity and temperature during the phase transition of VO2. Simultaneously, the variation in device performance was further elucidated by analyzing and depicting the intensity distribution of the electric field on the device surface at different temperatures. Furthermore, the impact of various structural parameters on device performance was examined, offering valuable insights and suggestions for selecting suitable parameter values in real-world applications. These characteristics render the device highly promising for applications in stealth technology, energy harvesting, modulation, and other related fields, thus showcasing its significant potential.

This study introduces an innovative dual-tunable absorption film with the capability to switch between ultra-wideband and narrowband *** manipulating the temperature,the film can achieve multi-band absorption within the 30-45 THz range or ultra-wideband absorption spanning 30-130 THz,with an absorption rate exceeding ***,the structural parameters of the absorption film are optimized using the particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm to ensure the optimal absorption *** absorption response of the film is primarily attributed to the coupling of guided-mode resonance and local surface plasmon resonance *** film's symmetric structure enables polarization incoherence and allows for tuning through various means such as doping/voltage,temperature and structural *** the case of a multi-band absorption response,the film exhibits good sensitivity to refractive index changes in multiple absorption ***,the absorption spectrum of the film remains effective even at large incidence angles,making it highly promising for applications in fields such as biosensing and infrared stealth.

Zwitterionic ring-opening polymerization of macrocyclic ethyleneoxy-substituted carbonate:Access to cyclic PEG-like polycarbonate

The innovation in polymer design to rival conventional polyethylene glycol(PEG)is an important approach to achieving a more sustainable ***,cyclic PEG-like polycarbonates having high molecular weight(4.4–49.5 kg/mol)were enabled through zwitterionic ring-opening polymerization(ZROP)of macrocyclic carbonates(MCs)mediated by N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC).The thermodynamic behavior of polymerization depends on the ring size of *** this process,the ZROP of 11-membered MC was driven by the change of enthalpy(ΔH_(p))which differed from the ZROP of 14-membered MC driven by the entropic change(ΔS_(p)).Cyclic polycarbonates depicted improved thermostability(T_(d5%)≥204℃)and higher glass transition temperatures(T_(g)>–40℃)in comparison to their linear analogues(T_(d5%)≤185℃,T_(g)~–50℃).In addition,the mechanism of ZROP of MC was addressed through computational study.A distinct mechanism of polymerization distinguishable from the well-known NHC-mediated ZROP of cyclic esters was revealed,where the zwitterion from nucleophilic addition to MC,*** intermediate,cannot be ring-opened probably due to the delocalization of negative charge on the carbonate group,but serves as an active center for the *** comparison to PEG,the attained polymer demonstrated comparable hydrophilic and biocompatible properties,as revealed by the results of contact angle and in vitro cytotoxicity studies,suggesting that cyclic polycarbonate hold the promise as the alternative of PEG.

We present a comprehensive analysis of the 2021 outburst of maXI J1803–298 utilizing observations of the Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT)spanning from the low hard state to the high soft *** the Insight-HXMT data set,compared to the previous work,we identify a more prolonged presence of typeC quasi-periodic oscillations(QPOs)with centroid frequencies ranging from~0.16 to 6.3 Hz,which present correlations with the hardness ratio and the photon index of the Comptonized *** QPO frequencies less than~2 Hz,the QPO phase lags are hard(photons of 10–19 keV arrive later than those of 1–4 keV),while at higher frequencies,the lags become soft at and above~4 ***,the spectra in all Insight-HXMT observations consist of a multi-color blackbody component and a Comptonized component,as commonly observed in classical black hole X-ray *** analyze state transitions and the evolution of accretion geometry in this *** fitted inner disk radius increases abnormally during the low hard state,hypothesized to result from the corona condensing onto the inner ***,two significant drops in flux are observed during the soft intermediate state,maybe implying changes in the corona/jet and the disk,respectively.

目的分析北京市某精神专科医院住院费用构成及结构变动情况,为优化住院费用结构、合理控制医疗费用、促进精神卫生事业的高质量发展提供参考。方法采用结构变动度和灰色关联方法分析2018—2022年北京市某精神专科医院住院费用变动情况。结果2018—2022年,次均住院费用构成占比最高的依次是诊断类、治疗类和综合医疗服务类。西药类费用在所有年度区间均负向变动,治疗类费用变动均为正向变动且绝对值相对较大。治疗类费用的结构贡献率最大,其次是诊断类、综合医疗服务类和西药类。诊断类费用与次均住院费用关联度最大。结论受医疗改革的正向影响,费用结构日趋合理化。需重视检查类费用对次均住院费用的影响,可视情况丰富中医类康复类等治疗手段,增加特色优势,推动均衡发展。

Complete photonic bandgap in silicon nitride slab assisted by effective index difference between polarizations

The slab effective index difference between the transverse-electric(TE)and transverse-magnetic(TM)polarizations was utilized to obtain complete photonic bandgap(CPBG)in a silicon nitride(Si_(x)N_(y))photonic crystal *** this,coincident frequency range in the TE photonic bandgap(PBG)and TM PBG,which denotes the CPBGs of the slab,must be found with the same *** adjusting the effective index pair of TE and TM polarizations by changing the thickness of the Si_(x)N_(y)core layer,and also optimizing the structure parameters within the photonic crystal plane,a large normalized CPBG of 5.62%was theoretically obtained in a slab of Si_(x)N_(y)with a refractive index of ***,based on the obtained CPBG,a microcavity which could support both TE and TM polarization was theoretically *** cavity modes for different polarizations were both well confined,which proved the reliability of the *** addition,using the same method,the lowest refractive index of Si_(x)N_(y)on silica slab for a CPBG could be extended to as low as *** results indicate that there is potential for development of various high-performance CPBG devices based on Si_(x)N_(y)slab technology.

目的探讨侧颈低领切口入路在甲状腺手术中应用的可行性和优点。方法选取2021年1月至2022年1月宿州市立医院甲状腺肿瘤病人80例,依据手术治疗方式不同分为观察组与对照组,各40例。观察组行侧颈区低领切口入路甲状腺切除术,对照组行传统颈前低领切口中间入路甲状腺切除术。比较两组各临床指标、术后并发症、嗓音和美容满意度的差异。结果两组病人年龄、性别、病理类型及手术方式等一般资料对比差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。观察组在手术时间、手术出血量、术后拔管时间及术后第3天血清钙值与对照组相比差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),观察组术后疼痛VAS评分[(3.82±0.43)分比(5.55±0.50)分]及围手术期总手术并发症的发生率(7.5%比30.0%)低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),观察组术后嗓音满意度及美容满意度优于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论在甲状腺手术中经侧颈低领切口入路,可以减缓术后颈前不适感,手术并发症发生率低,手术切口隐蔽,病人术后嗓音满意度及美容满意度高,可行性好,值得临床推广。

Unexplained septic shock after colonoscopy with polyethylene glycol preparation in a young adult:A case report

BACKGROUND Colonoscopy has become a routine physical examination as people’s health awareness has *** glycol(PEG)is greatly used in bowel preparation before colonoscopy due to its price and safety *** shock after colonoscopy with PEG preparation is extremely rare,with only very few cases in critically ill ***,we describe a case of septic shock in a healthy young adult immediately following colonoscopy with PEG *** SUMmaRY A 33-year-old young adult presented to our hospital for colonoscopy with PEG bowel preparation due to recurrent diarrhea for 7 *** male's previous physical examination showed no abnormal indicators,and colonoscopy results were normal;however,he exhibited septic shock and markedly elevated white blood cell,C-reactive protein,and procalcitonin levels on the second day after *** resuscitation and intensive care with appropriate antibiotics improved his ***,the blood and stool cultures did not detect the pathogen CONCLUSION Septic shock after colonoscopy is rare,especially in young *** authors considered the possibility of opportunistic infections after PEG bowel preparation,and clinicians should monitor patients for the possibility of such complications.
