钢筋和混凝土的应变率分析对混凝土梁的抗爆炸设计和验算至关重要。但是,爆炸荷载在混凝土梁中诱发的应变率远超出现有试验技术范围。目前的处理方法主要是将应变率(ε)假设为定值或采用加载率取代应变率,这样的简化直接降低了相关研究成果的科学性和可信度。根据爆炸荷载的作用特征,采用通用的单自由度模型,从杜哈姆(Duhamel)积分入手,研究爆炸荷载下钢筋混凝土梁任意截面应变率的分析方法,推导跨中截面应变率的计算式,分析跨中截面最大应变率及影响因素。分析结果较好地反映了混凝土梁的动力特性,为深入研究钢筋混凝土梁及其他受力构件在爆炸荷载下的动力响应特性提供了理论依据。

Background: Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is the most common human enzymopathy affecting 400 million people, globally. G6PD deficiency is an X-linked genetic condition, which is more likely to affect males than females. Heterozygous females go undetected in a commonly used method. The aim of the study was to identify & rationalize different biochemical methods for detections of G6PD deficiency. Methods: cross section retrospective study was conducted on 1584 (800 males, 784 females) blood samples collected from King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH) and King Fahd Armed force hospital (KFAFH) in Jeddah, Western Saudi Arabia. Blood samples were screened for G6PD activity by fluorescence spot test, semi quantitative color reduction test and spectrometric quantitative evaluation. Hemoglobin (Hb) was measured on the same sample by Bc-3200 Auto hematology Analyser. G6PD activity was recorded as U/g Hb. Samples identified as deficient with cutoff ≤4.6 U/gHb. Results: The prevalence of G6PD deficiency identified by fluorescence spot test was 73(4.6%) and all were deficient male. By semi quantitative method, the prevalence rate was 51(3.2%) and again all were male deficit patients. However, when quantitative spectrometric method was used, the prevalence was found in 90(5.7%), where in 73(4.6%) deficient patients were males and 17(1.1%) were females. conclusion: Since the fluorescence spot test did not miss any G6PD deficient male, it should be restricted to males and quantitative test should be done on females. Each ethnic group should cultivate their own cutoff value for categorization of deficient patients.

The purpose of this study was to identify factors that enhance and hinder interdisciplinary collaborative practice (IcP) among doctors and nurses at the Nnamdi Azikiwe teaching hospital, Nnewi, southeast Nigeria. The study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey and the quantitative method of data collection was employed. The population was all doctors irrespective of area of specialty and all nurses employed and working in the hospital as at the time of study. Proportionate stratified and convenience sampling methods were used to select study participants according to their categories. Using validated structured questionnaire, data were collected from 110 doctors and 95 nurses in the teaching hospital on their perception on IcP and factors that enhance/hinder IcP. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Specifically, frequencies, percentages, standard deviation and graphic presentation were used for descriptive analysis of scores while the unpaired t test of mean score using Graph Pad Prism, Version 5.30 was used to determine the influence of profession, gender, and years of experience on perception of IcP at 0.05 level of significance. The study found that both doctors and nurses have positive perception on IcP. Their years of experience have significant influence on their perception. clear individual roles and good working relationships enhance IcP while giving priority to professional status rather than expertise was seen as a prominent hindrance to IcP. The study recommends collaborative continuing education for doctors and nurses to enhance IcP in patient care. In addition, the inclusion of interdisciplinary collaborative practice programmme into the curriculum of medical and nursing students (where it does not exist) would go a long way to strengthen IcP and decrease hindrances when they graduate.

Baru almonds from different regions of the Brazilian Savanna: Implications on physical and nutritional characteristics

While some reports show that physical characteristics of the baru fruits (Dipteryx alata Vog.) differ within and among the Brazilian Savanna regions, a study shows that there are differences in the nutritional composition of baru almonds from different trees from the same Savanna area. It is unknown, however, whether the Savanna’s region influences the nutritional quality of this native almond. Thus, we evaluated the influence of East, Southeast and West regions of the Brazilian Savanna on physical characteristics, nutrient composition and protein quality of the baru almond. chemical composition and amino acid profile were analyzed, and Amino Acid Score (AAS), Net Protein Ratio (NPR), and Protein Digestibility–corrected Amino Acid Score (PDcAAS) were estimated. The physical characteristics significantly differed within but not among regions. The protein (310 g kg-1), lipid (410 g·kg-1), fiber (120 g·kg-1) and calcium (1,300 mg·kg-1) contents of baru almonds were high, with significant differences among regions for insoluble fiber content (94.3 - 128.3 g·kg-1) and amino acid profile (AAS = 77% - 89%). The relative NPR (RNPR) values were similar among regions (mean value of RNPR = 71%), and the PDcAAS values ranged from 65 to 73%. The region of the Brazilian Savanna influences the fiber and amino acid profiles, but not the total content of nutrients, the protein quality and the physical characteristics of the native baru almonds. The baru almond is a potential food as source of complementary protein for healthy diets and as a nutritious raw material for various food systems.

Of all the precious metals buried in the cameroonian subsoil, gold is certainly the longest exploited. It has longtime been the subject of artisanal exploitation. In 2014, the monthly national production was estimated at around 170 kg. In these mining areas, people still live in a screaming precariousness of which one of the main causes is often the lack of electricity, because of the distance of these localities to the national electricity network. cameroon has a great hydroelectric potential, but the access rate to electricity is still very low in isolate or rural areas of this country. The objective of this work is to show that it is possible to efficiently exploit gold in isolated areas and contribute to the sustainable development of these localities through the development of micro hydro power (MHP). The mining community of Tikondi in the East Region of cameroon is the practical case study for an illustration. The results of this study show that the development of the MHP project can be developed with installed power of 87 kW, where the Banki-Michell turbine is recommended according to the Sulzer-Escher Wyss diagram. The investment cost evaluated at 79,832,775 FcFA (1 Euro = 656 FcFA). It is a profitable project with a maximum payback period of 8 years. This project can be easily funded by gold mining activity. That Tikondi’s MHP can make this village becoming attractive for others activities, improving the quality of education of children (there is not any school and lots of them do not go to school), the building of health centers and the quality of life in that locality and therefore contribute to their sustainable development too.

在火焰和流动相互作用中，浮力是火焰影响流场的因素致一。研究浮力的作用有助于深入了解湍流燃烧的机理。本文利用甲烷－空气预混Ｖ形火焰研究浮力的作用。分析表明浮力不仅影响火焰的平均位置，还可能影响火焰的皱折。在１ｇｏ和μｇ下用ＯＨ－ＰＬＩＦ观测火焰，发现层流和湍流火焰呈现相反的浮力效应，这表明浮力确实影响火焰的皱折。另外，层流火焰锋面在μｇ下明显折皱，这意味着微重力也适于研究火焰中其他诱发流动的机制。
