Species delimitation is one of the most fundamental processes in *** undertakings,for instance,require explicit species concepts and criteria for species delimitation in order to be relevant and ***,a perfect species concept does not exist for ***,we review the species concepts commonly used in Basidiomycota,the second largest phylum of Fungi that contains some of the best known species of mushrooms,rusts,smuts,and jelly *** general,best practice is to delimitate species,publish new taxa,and conduct taxonomic revisions based on as many independent lines of evidence as possible,that is,by applying a so-called unifying(or integrative)conceptual ***,the types of data used vary considerably from group to *** this reason we discuss the different classes of Basidiomycota,and for each provide:(i)a general introduction with difficulties faced in species recognition,(ii)species concepts and methods for species delimitation,and(iii)community recommendations and conclusions.

Metal droplets sticking to spinel solids, present in metallurgical slag systems, play an important role in hindering the sedimentation of copper in slags. To understand this phenomenon, the interaction between spinel particles with Cu on one handand with slag, on the other hand,wasevaluated. A dedicated approach was applied, using an industrially relevant synthetic slag system PbO-FeO-SiO2-CaO-Al2O3-Cu2O-ZnO, pure copper and MgAl2O4substrates to represent the industrial slag, the entrained copper droplets and the spinel solids, respectively. Both the copper-MgAl2O4and the slag-MgAl2O4interaction were studied using sessile drop measurements, combined with an extensive microstructural analysis. Additionally, the effectoftimeon the slag-MgAl2O4 interaction was studied using immersion experiments. Copper displayed a non-wetting behaviour on MgAl2O4, whereas slag displayed a reactive wetting and an interaction layer of （Mg,Fe,Zn）（Al,Fe）2O4spinelwas formed at the interface, which was also observed in the immersion experiments. Moreover, the diffusion of MgO and Al2O3from the spinel substrate into the slag droplets was noted.

Acute systemic inflammation critically alters the function of the immune system,often promoting myelopoiesis at the expense of *** the thymus,systemic inflammation results in acute thymic atrophy and,consequently,impaired *** mechanism by which systemic inflammation impacts the thymus beyond suppressing T-cell development is still ***,we describe how the synergism between TL1A and IL-18 suppresses T-lymphopoiesis to promote thymic *** protein levels of these two cytokines were elevated in the thymus during viral-induced thymus atrophy infection with murine cytomegalovirus(MCMV)or pneumonia virus of mice(PVM).In vivo administration of TL1A and IL-18 induced acute thymic atrophy,while thymic neutrophils *** mapping with Ms4a3-Cre mice demonstrated that thymic neutrophils emerge from thymic granulocyte-monocyte progenitors(GMPs),while Rag1-Cre fate mapping revealed a common developmental path with *** effects could be modeled ex vivo using neonatal thymic organ cultures(nTOCs),where TL1A and IL-18 synergistically enhanced neutrophil production and *** blockade by the LY411575 inhibitor increased the number of neutrophils in the culture,indicating that nOTCH restricted steady-state thymic *** promote myelopoiesis,TL1A,and IL-18 synergistically increased GM-CSF levels in the nTOC,which was mainly produced by thymic *** support,TL1A-and IL-18-induced granulopoiesis was completely prevented in nTOCs derived from Csf2rb-/-mice and by GM-CSFR antibody blockade,revealing that GM-CSF is the essential factor driving thymic *** together,our findings reveal that TL1A and IL-18 synergism induce acute thymus atrophy while promoting extramedullary thymic granulopoiesis in a nOTCH and GM-CSF-controlled manner.

Leveraging its superior waveguide properties, silicon-nitride（Si3n4） photonics is emerging to expand the applications of photonic integrated circuits to optical systems where bulk optics and fibers today still dominate. In order to fully leverage its advantages, heterogeneous integration of Ⅲ-Ⅴ gain elements on Si3n4is one of the most critical steps. In this paper, we demonstrate a Ⅲ-Ⅴ-on-Si3n4widely tunable narrow-linewidth laser based on micro-transfer printing. Detailed design considerations of the tolerant Ⅲ-Ⅴ-to-Si3n4vertical coupler, Si3n4-based micro-ring resonators（MRRs）, and micro-heaters are discussed. By introducing the dispersion of Si3n4waveguide in the design, the proposed Vernier MRRs enable an extended tuning range over multiple Vernier periods. The laser shows a wavelength tuning range of 54 nm in C and L bands with intrinsic linewidth less than 25 kHz. Within the tuning range, the side mode suppression ratio is larger than 40 dB and the output power in the Si3n4waveguide reaches 6.3 mW. The integration process allows for the fabrication and quality control of both the Si3n4circuits and Ⅲ-Ⅴ devices in its own foundry, which greatly enhances the integration yield and paves the way for large-scale integration.

In the present study,we redescribed Gymnodinitm renplendens through incubation of process bearing cysts extracted from sediment collected in the northern Gulf of *** morphology and eltrastructure of the motile stage and cyst stage were examined using light microscopy,scanning election microacopy,and transmission electron microscopy and this revealed that the species should be transferred to the genus *** genus differs from other gymnodinioid genera in posaeaaing a Smurf-cap apical structure complex(ASC)and currenfly encompasses only one species,Barrufeta *** shows a Smurf-cap ASC that consists of three rows of elongated vesicles with small knobs in the middle *** is very similar to *** in cell morphology,but can be separated using the ultrastructure such as the shape and location of nucleus and pyrenoids,which highlights the importance of ultrastructure at inter-specific level in the genus *** unique cysts of *** are brown and process bearing,and have a tremic archeopyle with a zigrag margin on the dorsal side of the epicyat,and not polar as in cysts of *** cysts do not survive the palynological treatment used here and probably have a wide ***-likelihood and Bayesian inference were carried out based on partial large subunit ribosomal DnA(LSU rDnA)*** phylogeny supports that thegenus Barrafetu is monophyletic,and that the genus Gymnodinitm is *** results suggest that details of the ASC together with ultrastructure are potential features to subdivide the genus Gymnodinium.
