Walnut oil is a functional wood oil known to researchers that may potentially be a large source of Chinese edible oils.There are various extraction methods for walnut oil,including traditional(pressing,solvent-and enzymeassisted extraction)and novel methods(microwave,ultrasound,supercritical CO_(2),subcritical and other extraction technologies).Walnut oil is rich in nutrients,including phytosterols,tocopherols,polyphenols,squalene and minerals.It provides many health benefits,such as antioxidant,antitumor,anti-inflammatory,antidiabetic and lipid metabolism-related functions.In addition,the authentication of walnut oil has received much research attention.The present review provides detailed research on walnut oil extraction,composition,health benefits and adulteration identification methods.The path toward further walnut oil improvement in the context of the market value of walnut oil is also discussed.

The chemoselective hydrogenation of structurally diverse nitroaromatics is a challenging process.Generally,catalyst activity tends to decrease when excellent selectivity is guaranteed.We here present a novel photocatalyst combining amino-functionalized carbon dots(N-CDs)with copper selenite nanoparticles(N-CDs@CuSeO_(3))for simultaneously improving selectivity and activity.Under visible light irradiation,the prepared N-CDs@CuSeO_(3)exhibits 100%catalytic selectivity for the formation of 4-aminostyrene at full conversion of 4-nitrostyrene in aqueous solvent within a few minutes.Such excellent photocatalytic performance is mainly attributed to the precise control of the hydrogen species released from the ammonia borane by means of light-converted electrons upon N-CDs@CuSeO_(3).Besides,the defect states at the interface of N-CDs and CuSeO_(3)enable holes to be trapped for promoting separation and transfer of photogenerated charges,allowing more hydrogen species to participate in catalytic reaction.

Effects of dietary tributyrin on intestinal mucosa development,mitochondrial function and AMPK-mTOR pathway in weaned pigs

Background:The objective of this experiment was to investigate the influence of dietary tributyrin on intestinal mucosa development,oxidative stress,mitochondrial function and AMPK-mTOR signaling pathway.Methods:Seventy-two pigs were divided into two treatments and received either a basal diet or the same diet supplemented with 750 mg/kg tributyrin.Each treatment has six replicates of six pigs.After 14 days,6 pigs from each treatment were selected and the jejunal samples were collected.Results:Results showed that supplemental tributyrin increased(P<0.05)villus height and villus height:crypt depth of weaned pigs.Pigs fed tributyrin had greater(P<0.05)RNA/DNA and protein/DNA ratios than pigs on the control group.The mRNA levels of sodium glucose transport protein-1 and glucose transporter-2 in the jejunum were upregulated(P<0.05)in pigs fed the tributyrin diet.Dietary tributyrin supplementation lowered(P<0.05)the malondialdehyde and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)content in jejunum,enhanced(P<0.05)the mitochondrial function,as demonstrated by decreased(P<0.05)reactive oxygen species level and increased(P<0.05)mitochondrial membrane potential.Furthermore,tributyrin increased(P<0.05)mitochondrial DNA content and the mRNA abundance of genes related to mitochondrial functions,including peroxisomal proliferator-activated receptor-γcoactivator-1α,mitochondrial transcription factor A,nuclear respiratory factor-1 in the jejunum.Supplementation with tributyrin elevated(P<0.05)the phosphorylation level of AMPK and inhibited(P<0.05)the phosphorylation level of mTOR in jejunum compared with the control group.Conclusions:These findings suggest that dietary supplementation with tributyrin promotes intestinal mucosa growth,extenuates oxidative stress,improves mitochondrial function and modulates the AMPK-mTOR signal pathway of weaned pigs.

What is already known about this topic?Excessive salt intake is an important risk factor for hypertension and cardiovascular diseases(CVDs).The amount of salt intake of Chinese is one of the highest all over the world.At a national level,the awareness of maximum daily salt intake recommended by the“Dietary Guidelines of Chinese residents”had not been reported.What is added by this report?This is the first nationally representative study about awareness of maximum daily salt intake in China.In 2015,the awareness rate of maximum daily salt intake and behavior rate of salt reduction among Chinese adults aged 18 years old and above was 6.1%and 37.3%,respectively.The awareness rate of maximum daily salt intake and behavior rate of salt reduction was low among adult residents in China.What are the implications for public health practice?To increase the behavior rate of salt reduction in China,awareness of the maximum daily salt intake needs to be strengthened to Chinese residents,especially in rural areas or for people with low education levels and low incomes.

Background： A series of modified montmorillonites（Mt） including zinc-loaded Mt（Zn-Mt）, copper-loaded Mt（Cu-Mt）, copper/zinc-loaded Mt with different Cu/Zn ratio（Cu/Zn-Mt-1, Cu/Zn-Mt-2, Cu/Zn-Mt-3） were prepared by an ion-exchange reaction, and characterized using X-ray diffraction（XRD）, fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and transmission electron microscopy（TEM）. The specific surface areas, antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity of the modified Mt were investigated.Results： In the modified Mt, hydrated Cu ions and Zn ions were exchanged in the interlayer space of Mt and the particles were irregular shapes. The results showed that Cu/Zn-Mt enhanced antibacterial and antifungal activity compared with Zn-Mt and Cu-Mt possibly due to the synergistic effect between Cu and Zn. Among the Cu/Zn-Mt with different Cu/Zn raitos, Cu/Zn-Mt with a Cu/Zn ratio of 0.98 or 0.51 showed higher antimicrobial activity against gram-negative bacteria（Escherichia coli）, gram-positive bacteria（Staphylococcus aureus）, fungi（Candida albicans）.Moreover, the antimicrobial activity of Cu/Zn-Mt was correlated with its specific surface area. Cytotoxicity studies on IPEC-J2 cell showed a slight cytotoxicity of Cu/Zn-Mt.Conclusions： The current data provide clear evidence that in terms of its antimicrobial activity and relatively low toxicity, the Cu/Zn-Mt holds great promise for applications in animal husbandry.

广义单位线把流域对净雨的调蓄作用概化为M个等效线性水库并联,为汇流计算提供了新方法。为检验其在山洪模拟中的适用性,在淮河、长江选取4个小支流共56场典型洪水作为研究对象,与Nash单位线法对比分析暴雨洪水过程。结果表明:两种方法的模拟精度均达到了乙级精度要求标准,但从评价指标来看,广义单位线法的平均纳什效率系数、峰现时间及其合格率(0.79、0.90h、98.30%)优于Nash单位线法(0.75、1.09h、94.34%)。广义单位线综合了流域地形地貌特征,可以更好地表征流域汇流特性,适用性较强,为国内山洪灾害预警预报提供了新思路。

通过耦合网格产流计算模型(GRGM)和暴雨洪水管理模型(SWMM)汇流计算模块构建了GRGM-SWMM模型。以贾鲁河中牟水文站控制流域(包括郑州市中心城区)为研究区,基于18场实测暴雨洪水资料探究了产流模式空间分布对洪水过程模拟精度的影响。结果表明:研究区超渗产流模式空间分布面积占比高达72%,城市下垫面仍以超渗产流模式为主;相较于仅考虑超渗产流计算的SWMM,考虑超渗、蓄满和混合等不同产流模式空间分布的GRGM-SWMM模型场次洪水产流量、流量过程模拟精度明显提高,产流量模拟相对误差平均降低33.26%、决定系数平均提高0.089,流量过程模拟均方根误差平均降低5.13 m^(3)/s、纳什效率系数和决定系数分别平均提高0.227、0.207。

高品质酿造食品是以传统酿造技艺为主体,结合区域地理环境、消费需求以及区域风俗等客体进行系统化决策实施后的结果。具体而言,传统酿造是在传承“天人合一、道法自然”的哲学思观基础上,融合了自然环境、历史文化、技艺传承、科技创新、科学管理、品牌营销、消费习惯、社会责任等自然、人文等诸多元素的产业实践活动。客观上,上述各元素通过影响生产环境中的酿造微生物组成及其功能,并最终集中体现在产品品质上。该文在已有的产区、庄园以及标准等品质表达的基础上,系统提出了“酿造风土”理论,并以中国白酒为例,从“自然风土、人文风土、微生物风土”三个维度建立传统酿造技艺及产品品质的科学表达体系,为新消费时代酿造产品的“品质可视化”提供理论和实践基础。
