Polymer microbottle with flexible tunability for ultrasensitive ultrasound sensing

Optical whispering-gallery-mode microcavities have attracted significant attention for their potential in ultrasensitive ultrasound sensing, despite always relying on expensive tunable lasers in applications. In this study, we integrated an electrothermal tuning function inside the microcavity, enabling fast scanning of modes by applying voltages, which helps provide real-time searching and tracking of the optimal mode. Our device demonstrated a quality factor exceeding 10～6with a broad tuning range over 33 GHz. This structure achieved high sensitivity in ultrasound detection, with a noise equivalent pressure（NEP） of 3.35 mPa/Hz1/2at 20 MHz. We further reported the advantages of the mode thermal broadening effect for ultrasound detection, with successfully obtaining high-contrast photoacoustic images. Our research introduces an innovative approach for cost-effective, high-stability ultrasound detection with microcavity, showing great value for application in photoacoustic imaging.

Mitochondrial Rho-GTPase 1 (MIRO1) is an outer mitochondrial membrane protein which regulates mitochondrial transport and mitophagy in mitosis. In present study, we reported the crucial roles of MIRO1 in mammalian oocyte meiosis and its potential relationship with aging. We found that MIRO1 expressed in mouse and porcine oocytes, and its expression decreased in aged mice. MIRO1 deficiency caused the failure of meiotic resumption and polar body extrusion in both mouse and porcine oocytes, which could be rescued by exogenous MIRO1supplementation. Mass spectrometry data indicated that MIRO1 associated with several cytoskeleton and cell cycle-related proteins, and MIRO1 regulated motor protein Dynein for microtubule-organizing centers (MTOCs) dynamics at germinal vesicle (GV) stage, which determined meiotic resumption. Furthermore, we found that MIRO1 regulated Aurora A and kinesin family member 11 (KIF11) for meiotic spindle assembly in oocytes. Besides, MIRO1 associated with several mitochondria-related proteins dynamic-related protein 1 (DRP1),Parkin and lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2 (LAMP2) for mitochondrial dynamics and mitophagy during oocyte meiosis. Taken together, our results suggested that MIRO1 played pivotal roles in meiotic resumption, spindle assembly and mitochondrial function in mouse and porcine oocytes, and its insufficiency might contribute to the oocyte maturation defects during aging.

Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of the MMP-7,c-Jun and c-Fos in rat photoaging ***:A total of 45 SD rats were randomly divided into control group,model group,natural recovery group,physiological saline injection group and dermal pluripotent stem cells transplantation(DMSCs group),model group,natural recovery group,physiological saline injection *** were treated with UV lamp irradiation to establish light aging skin *** were then sacrificed after model prepared,no treatment was processed in the natural recovery *** injections was adopted in saline group,DESCs group was treated with DESCs *** were sacrificed after 4 *** expression of MMP-7,c-Jun and c-Kos were detected using the immunohistocheniical ***:In model group,MMP 7positive expression was higher than that in the other 4 groups,but without statistically difference(P>0.05);c-Jun,c-Fos expression were higher than that in the control group and DESCs group(P0.05).Conclusions:MMP-7,c-Jun and c-Fos can be used as diagnosis indicators in the early stage of light aging,and they jointly participate in its *** transplants is effective in treating light aging skin.

Peroxynitrite（ONOO-） is a highly reactive nitrogen species that plays pivotal roles in cell signal transduction and physiological or pathological progresses. However, commonly used ONOO-optical imaging probes are still hampered by high background/autofluorescence（fluorescence probe）, short emission wavelength, or poor selectivity in the case of chemiluminescence. Herein,we report a facile method to prepare an activatable chemiluminescence probe（PPA-PEG） with good biocompatibility and functionality for in vivo autofluorescence-free imaging of ONOO-. The PPA-PEG consists of pyropheophorbide-a（PPA）, a typical deep red photosensitizer that acts as both the recognition and signaling element, and 4-arm poly（ethylene glycol）(4-arm PEG), which improves the biosafety and water solubility of probe. These components can self-assemble into nanoparticles（namely PPA-PEG nanoprobe） in aqueous solution. The PPA-PEG nanoprobe showed an ultra-low chemiluminescence signal before interacting with ONOO-, but exhibited good selectivity, high sensitivity and a fast response toward ONOO-. The PPAPEG was successfully applied to image cellular ONOO-changes, as well as the endogenous ONOO-changes in inflammation models and subcutaneous or orthotopic hepatocellular carcinoma（HCC） tumors models in living mice. In vitro and in vivo studies verified the good detection and imaging capabilities of PPA-PEG for peroxynitrite, demonstrating suitable tissue penetration and a high signal-to-background ratio（SBR）. Thus, our nanoprobe can serve as a valuable activatable chemiluminescence imaging tool for studying important peroxynitrite-related chemical and biological applications.

Designing detection algorithms with high efficiency for Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imagery is essential for the operator SAR Automatic Target Recognition(ATR) *** work abandons the detection strategy of visiting every pixel in SAR imagery as done in many traditional detection algorithms,and introduces the gridding and fusion idea of different texture fea-tures to realize fast target *** first grids the original SAR imagery,yielding a set of grids to be classified into clutter grids and target grids,and then calculates the texture features in each *** fusing the calculation results,the target grids containing potential maneuvering targets are *** dual threshold segmentation technique is imposed on target grids to obtain the regions of *** fused texture features,including local statistics features and Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix(GLCM),are *** efficiency and superiority of our proposed algorithm were tested and verified by comparing with existing fast de-tection algorithms using real SAR *** results obtained from the experiments indicate the promising practical application val-ue of our study.

Bioactive natural polymethoxyflavones 1―6 and their vinyl ether derivatives 7―15 were synthesized by bromination,aromatic nucleophilic substitution,methylation,benzyl protection,Friedel-Crafts acetylation,aldol condensation,cyclization,DDQ dehydrogenation,regioselective demethylation,debenzylation and O-prenylation or O-farnesylation with resorcinol and appropriate substituted benzaldehydes as starting *** them,compounds 7―15 are new *** products 2―4 were firstly total *** syntheses of compounds 1,5 and 6 were efficiently improved by the new synthetic *** structures of all synthetic compounds were confirmed by NMR,IR spectra and MS.

Physicochemical characteristics of ambient particles settling upon leaf surfaces of urban plants in Beijing

Particulate pollution is a serious health problem throughout the world, exacerbating a wide range of respiratory and vascular illnesses in urban areas. Urban plants play an important role in reducing particulate pollution. Physicochemical characteristics of ambient particles settling upon leaf surfaces of eleven roadside plants at four sites of Beijing were studies. Results showed that density of particles on the leaf surfaces greatly varied with plant species and traffic condition. Fraxinus chiuensis, Sophora japonica Ailanthus altissima, Syringa oblata and Prunus persica, had larger densities of particles among the tall species. Due to resuspension of road dust, the densities of particles of Euonymus japonicns and Parthenocissus quinquefolia with low sampling height were 2-35 times to other taller tree species. For test plant species, micro-roughness of leaf surfaces and density of particles showed a close correlation. In general, the larger micro-roughness of leaf surfaces is, the larger density of particles is. Particles settling upon leaf surfaces were dominantly PM30 （particulate matter less than 10 μm in aerodynamic diameter; 98.4%） and PM2.5 （particulate matter less than 2.5 μm in aerodynamic diameter; 64.2%） which were closely relative to human health. Constant elements of particles were C, O, K, Ca, Si, Al, Mg, Na, Fe, S, Cl and minerals with higher content were SiO2, CaCO3, CaMg（CO3）2, NaCI and 2CASO4. H2O, SiO2. CaCO3 and CaMg（CO3）2 mainly came from resuspension of road dust. 2CaSO4. H2O was produced by the reaction between CaCO3 derived from earth dust or industrial emission and SO2, H2SO4 or sulfate. NaCl was derived from sea salt.

A quasi-filled function for nonlinear integer programming problem is given in this paper. This function contains two parameters which are easily to be chosen. Theoretical properties of the proposed quasi-filled function are investigated. Moreover, we also propose a new solution algorithm using this quasi-filled function to solve nonlinear integer programming problem in this paper. The examples with 2 to 6 variables are tested and computational results indicated the efficiency and reliability of the pro- posed quasi-filled function algorithm.
