Ecosystem service of green infrastructure for adaptation to urban growth:function and configuration

Objectives:(1)to explore what kind of green infrastructure(GI)meets the demand for urban ecological security of rapid urbanization areas;(2)to figure out how to determine the specific function and configuration of GI from ecosystem service requirements of urban ecological ***:(1)Through the literature review,this article summarizes the function and structure evolution of GI in order to adapt to urban growth.(2)Standing on the imperfect ecological functions and unreasonable spatial configurations,this article builds up a conceptual model for the optimization of green infrastructure ecosystem services to meet the demand for the green infrastructure pattern needed by urban ***:The optimization framework consists of four central function modules and its regulating and controlling mechanisms,incuding:(1)Balancing supply and demand of GI's ecosystem service;(2)Measuring and evaluating GI's ecosystem services;(3)Elevating and optimizing GI's ecosystem service;(4)Building urban ecological security patterm with high efficiency of GI's ecosystem ***,this framework provides guidance for the planning and design of GI and the urban ecological security pattern building in rapid urbanization areas based on ba lancing supply and demand of GI's ecosystem ***:The conceptual model of Gl's ecosystem service optimization based on balan-cing supply and demand shows a new path to meet the needs of urban growth and build a city's ecological security pattern through upgrading and optimizing GI.

Autonomous Boolean networks(ABNs)have been successfully applied to the generation of random number due to their complex nonlinear dynamics and convenient on-chip *** of the ABNs used for random number generators show a symmetric topology,despite their oscillations dependent on the inconsistency of time delays along *** address this issue,we suggest an asymmetrical autonomous Boolean network(aABN)and show numerically that it provides large amplitude oscillations by using equal time delays along links and the same logical *** results show that the chaotic features of aABN are comparable to those of symmetric ABNs despite their being made of fewer ***,we put forward a random number generator based on aABN and show that it generates the random numbers passing the NIST test suite at 100 Mbits/*** unpredictability of the random numbers is analyzed by restarting the random number generator *** aABN may replace symmetrical ABNs in many applications using fewer nodes and,in turn,reducing power consumption.

The sensitivity to fault reflection is very important for larger dynamic range in fiber fault detection *** time delay signature(TDS)of chaotic laser formed by optical feedback can solve the sensitivity limitation of photodetector in fiber fault *** TDS corresponds to the feedback position and the fault reflection can be detected by the laser *** sensitivity to feedback level of circular-side hexagonal resonator(CSHR)microcavity laser is numerically simulated and the feedback level boundaries of each output dynamic state are *** peak level of TDS is utilized to analyze the *** demonstration is presented in two aspects:the minimum feedback level when the TDS emerges and the variation degree of TDS level on feedback level *** results show that the CSHR microcavity laser can respond to the feedback level of 0.07%,corresponding to-63-dB feedback *** to conventional distributed feedback laser,the sensitivity improves almost 20 dB due to the shorter internal cavity length of CSHR microcavity ***,1%feedback level changing will induce 1.001 variation on TDS level,and this variation degree can be influenced by other critical internal parameters(active region side length,damping rate,and linewidth enhancement factor).

We design a hybrid integrated chaotic semiconductor laser with short-cavity optical *** can be assembled in a commercial butterfly shell with just three *** of them is coated by a transflective film to provide the optical feedback for chaos generation while insuring regular laser *** prove the feasibility of the chaos generation in this compact structure and provide critical external parameters for the fabrication by theoretical *** than the usual changeless internal parameters used in previous simulation research,we extract the real parameters of the chip by ***,the maps of the largest Lyapunov exponent with varying bias current and feedback intensity Kap demonstrate the dynamic characteristics under different external-cavity *** laser chip has its own optimal external cavity length(L)and feedback intensity(Kap)to generate chaos because of the different internal *** have acquired two ranges of optimal parameters(L=4 mm,0.12〈Kap〈0.2 and L=5 mm,0.07〈Kap〈0.12)for two different chips.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF)is a chronic and fatal lung disease characterized by pulmonary inflam-mation,oxidative stress,and excessive extracellular matrix(ECM)*** anti-fibrotic drugs for IPF treatment in the clinic lack selectivity and demonstrate unsatisfactory efficacy,highlighting the urgent necessity for a novel therapeutic ***(TA),which has biological activities against lung injury induced by various factors,is a potential anti-IPF drug due to its anti-inflammatory,antiox-idant and lung-protective ***,the protective effect of TA on IPF has not been confirmed,and its clinical application is limited due to its poor aqueous *** this study,we demonstrated that TA could inhibit epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and migration of A549 cells by inhibiting the transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)/Smad signaling *** improve the aqueous solubility and pulmonary administration performance of TA,we prepared TA loaded methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(d,l-lactide)(mPEG-PLA)/d-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate(TPGS)mixed polymeric mi-celles(TA-PM).Then a MicroSprayer^(R) Aerosolizer was used to deliver TA-PM once every two days for three weeks to evaluate their therapeutic effects on bleomycin(BLM)-induced IPF *** results demonstrated that inhaled TA-PM significantly inhibited BLM-induced inflammation,oxidative stress and fibrosis in lung ***,TA-PM exhibited high pulmonary deposition and retention by pul-monary administration,along with a favorable safety ***,this study emphasizes the potential of inhaled TA-PM as a promising treatment for IPF,providing a new opportunity for their clinical appli-cation.

Thermodynamic equilibrium theory-guided design and synthesis of Mg-doped LiFe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6)PO_(4)/C cathode for lithium-ion batteries

Mn-rich LiFe_(1-x)Mn_(x)PO_(4)(x>0.5),which combines the high operation voltage of LiMnPO_(4)with excellent rate performa nce of LiFePO4,is hindered by its sluggish kinetic ***,thermodynamic equilibrium analysis of Mn^(2+)-Fe^(2+)-Mg^(2+)-C_(2)O_(4)^(2-)-H_(2)O system is used to guide the design and preparation of insitu Mg-doped(Fe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6))_(1-x)Mg_(x)C_(2)O_(4)intermediate,which is then employed as an innovative precursor to synthesize high-performance Mg-doped LiFe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6)PO_(4).It indicates that the metal ions with a high precipitation efficiency and the stoichiometric precursors with uniform element distribution can be achieved under the optimized thermodynamic ***,accelerated Li+diffusivity and reduced charge transfer resistance originating from Mg doping are verified by various kinetic *** from the contributions of inherited homogeneous element distribution,small particle size,uniform carbon layer coating,enhanced Li+migration ability and structural stability induced by Mg doping,the Li(Fe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6))_(0.97)Mg_(0.03)PO_(4)/C exhibits splendid electrochemical performance.

A novel K2O and La2O3 promoted nickel catalyst supported on a-Al2O3 was prepared by co-impregnation method, and it exhibited higher activity and 6-aminocapronitrile selectivity than Ni/a-Al2O3 during the hydrogenation of adiponitrile in the absence of ammonia, i.e., K2O and La2O3 improved the performance of the nickel-based catalyst.
