In recent years,high-entropy alloys(HEAs) have developed a lot as the new style of materials,which have become a research focus in the materials *** breaks the normal procedure of traditional alloy design(based on one/two elements as the main component,and adds some other elements to improve the micro structure and required related performance of the alloy),and consists of five or more equal or nearly equal elements,with multiple principal ***,HEAs have many excellent mechanical properties compared with traditional alloys,which have aroused great research interest of *** rapid development of high-pressure technology makes it a powerful tool to modulate the structures of HEAs,and brings new chance for the study and optimization of mechanical properties of *** this paper,the application of high-pressure technology in exploring and improving the mechanical properties of HEAs is reviewed,which could deepen the understanding of high-pressure technology and provide a new avenue for further exploration of HEAs’ mechanical properties.

Electrical transport properties of bismuth vanadate(BiVO4) are studied under high pressures with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. A pressure-induced ionic-electronic transition is found in BiVO4. Below 3.0 GPa, BiVO4 has ionic conduction behavior. The ionic resistance decreases under high pressures due to the increasing migration rate of O2-ions. Above 3.0 GPa the channels for ion migration are closed. Transport mechanism changes from the ionic to the electronic behavior. First-principles calculations show that bandgap width narrows under high pressures, causing the continuous decrease of electrical resistance of BiVO4.

The electrical transport properties and structures of Y2 O3/ZrO2 solid solution have been studied under high pressure up to 23.2 GPa by means of in situ impedance spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction(XRD) *** the impedance spectra, it can be found that the pressure-dependent resistance of Y2 O3/ZrO2 presents two different change trends before and after 13.3 GPa, but the crystal symmetry still remains stable in the cubic structure revealed by the XRD measurement and Rietveld *** pressure dependence of the lattice constant and unit cell volume shows that the Y2 O3/ZrO2 solid solution undergoes an isostructural phase transition at 13.1 GPa, which is responsible for the abnormal change in *** fitting the volume data with the Birch–Murnaghan equation of state, we found that the bulk modulus B0 of the Y2 O3/ZrO2 solid solution increases by 131.9% from 125.2 GPa to 290.3 GPa due to the pressure-induced isostructural phase transition.

Layer-structured Ruddlesden–Popper(RP)perovskites(RPPs)with decent stability have captured the imagination of the photovoltaic research community and bring hope for boosting the development of perovskite solar cell(PSC)***,two-dimensional(2D)or quasi-2D RP PSCs are encountered with some challenges of the large exciton binding energy,blocked charge transport and poor film quality,which restrict their photovoltaic ***,these issues can be readily resolved by rationally designing spacer cations of *** review mainly focuses on how to design the molecular structures of organic spacers and aims to endow RPPs with outstanding photovoltaic *** firstly elucidated the important roles of organic spacers in impacting crystallization kinetics,charge transporting ability and stability of *** we brought three aspects to attention for designing organic ***,we presented the specific molecular structure design strategies for organic spacers of RPPs aiming to improve photovoltaic performance of RP *** proposed strategies in this review will provide new avenues to develop novel organic spacers for RPPs and advance the development of RPP photovoltaic technology for future applications.

To investigate the evolution of load-bearing characteristics of pre-stressed beams throughout their service life and to provide a basis for accurately assessing the actual working state of damaged pre-stressed concrete T-beams,destructive tests were conducted on full-scale pre-stressed concrete *** on the measurement and ana-lysis of beam deﬂection,strain,and crack development under various loading levels during the research tests,combined with the veriﬁcation coefﬁcient indicators speciﬁed in the codes,the veriﬁcation coefﬁcients of bridges at different stages of damage can be *** results indicate that the T-beams experience complete,incom-plete linear,and non-linear stages during the destructive test *** the complete linear elastic stage,both the deﬂection and bottom strain veriﬁcation coefﬁcients comply with the speciﬁcations,indicating a good structural load-bearing capacity no longer adheres to the code’s *** the non-linear stage,both coefﬁcients exhi-bit a sharp increase,resulting in a further decrease in the structure’s load-bearing *** to the pro-visions of the current code,the beam can be in the incomplete linear stage when both values fall within the code’s speciﬁed *** strain veriﬁcation coefﬁcient sourced from the compression zone at the bottom of theﬂange is not recommended for assessing the bridge’s load-bearing capacity.

Recent studies have suggested that abnormal acidification of lysosomes induces autophagic accumulation of amyloid-βin neurons,which is a key step in senile plaque ***,resto ring normal lysosomal function and rebalancing lysosomal acidification in neurons in the brain may be a new treatment strategy for Alzheimer's *** acetylation/deacetylation plays a central role in lysosomal ***,we show that inhibiting the classic microtubule deacetylase histone deacetylase 6 with an histone deacetylase 6 shRNA or thehistone deacetylase 6 inhibitor valproic acid promoted lysosomal reacidification by modulating V-ATPase assembly in Alzheimer's *** rthermore,we found that treatment with valproic acid markedly enhanced *** clearance of amyloid-βaggregates,and ameliorated cognitive deficits in a mouse model of Alzheimer's *** findings demonstrate a previously unknown neuroprotective mechanism in Alzheimer's disease,in which histone deacetylase 6 inhibition by valproic acid increases V-ATPase assembly and lysosomal acidification.
