BACKGROUND The ubiquitin-proteasome pathway(UPP)has been proven to play important roles in *** To investigate the prognostic significance of genes involved in the UPP and develop a predictive model for liver cancer based on the expression of these *** In this study,UPP-related E1,E2,E3,deubiquitylating enzyme,and proteasome gene sets were obtained from the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)database,aiming to screen the prognostic genes using univariate and multivariate regression analysis and develop a prognosis predictive model based RESULTS Five genes(including autophagy related 10,proteasome 20S subunit alpha 8,proteasome 20S subunit beta 2,ubiquitin specific peptidase 17 like family member 2,and ubiquitin specific peptidase 8)were proven significantly correlated with prognosis and used to develop a prognosis predictive model for liver *** training,validation,and Gene Expression Omnibus sets,the overall survival differed significantly between the high-risk and low-risk *** expression of the five genes was significantly associated with immunocyte infiltration,tumor stage,and postoperative recurrence.A total of 111 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified between the high-risk and low-risk groups and they were enriched in 20 and 5 gene ontology and KEGG *** division cycle 20,Kelch repeat and BTB domain containing 11,and DDB1 and CUL4 associated factor 4 like 2 were the DEGs in the E3 gene set that correlated with *** We have constructed a prognosis predictive model in patients with liver cancer,which contains five genes that associate with immunocyte infiltration,tumor stage,and postoperative recurrence.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of processing parameters and subsequent heat treatments on the microstructures and bonding strengths of Ti-6Al-4V/AA1050 laminations formed via a non-equal channel lateral co-extrusion *** microstructural evolution and growth mechanism in the diffusion layer were discussed further to optimize the bonding quality by appropriately adjusting process *** electron microscopes(SEM),energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)were used to characterize interfacial diffusion *** shear test was used to determine the mechanical properties of the interfacial diffusion *** experimental results indicate that it is possible to co-extrusion Ti-6Al-4V/AA1050 compound profiles using non-equal channel lateral *** heat treatment processes affect the thickness of the diffusion *** the temperature and time of heat treatment increase,the thickness of the reaction layers increases ***,the shear strength of the Ti-6Al-4V/AA1050 composite interface is proportional to the diffusion layer *** is observed that a medium interface thickness results in superior mechanical performance when compared to neither a greater nor a lesser interface *** characterization of all heat treatments reveals that the only intermetallic compound observed in the diffusion layers is TiAl_(3).Due to the inter-diffusion of Ti and Al atoms,the TiAl_(3) layer grows primarily at AA1050/TiAl_(3) interfaces.

Optimized silicon fertilization regime weakens cadmium translocation and increases its biotransformation in rice tissues

In acidic paddy fields of South China,rice(Oryza sativa L.)faces the dual challenges of cadmium(Cd)toxicity and silicon(Si)*** previous studies have highlighted the functions of Si application timing and strategies in mitigating Cd-stressed rice,the precise mechanisms underlying the health restoration of Cd-toxic rice and the assurance of grain safety remain *** study explored Cd translocation and detoxification in the shoots of rice regulated by various Si fertilization regimes:Si(T)(all Si added before transplanting),Si(J)(all Si added at jointing),and Si(TJ)(half Si added both before transplanting and at jointing).The findings revealed that the regime of Si(TJ)was more beneficial to rice health and grain safety than Si(T)and Si(J).The osmotic regulators such as proline,soluble sugars,and soluble proteins were significantly boosted by Si(TJ)compared to other Si treatments,and which enhanced membrane integrity,balanced intracellular pH,and increased Cd tolerance of ***,Si(TJ)was more effective than Si(T)and Si(J)on the Cd sequestration in the cell wall,Cd bio-passivation,and the down-regulated expression of the Cd transport *** concentrations of Cd in the xylem and phloem treated with Si(TJ)were reduced ***,Si(TJ)facilitated much more Cd bound with the outer layer proteins of grains,and promoted Cd chelation and complexation by phytic acid,phenolics,and ***,Si(TJ)outperformed Si(T)and Si(J)in harmonizing the phycological processes,inhibiting Cd translocation,and enhancing Cd detoxification in rice *** the split Si application strategy offers potential for reducing Cd toxicity in rice grain.

TSC prediction and dynamic control of BOF steelmaking with state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning methods

Mathematical(data-driven)models based on state-of-the-art(SOTA)machine learning and deep learning models and data collected from 12,786 heats were established to predict the values of temperature,sample,and carbon(TSC)test,including temperature of molten steel(TSC-Temp),carbon content(TSC-C)and phosphorus content(TSC-P),which made prepa-ration for eliminating the TSC *** maximize the prediction accuracy of the proposed approach,various models with different inputs were implemented and compared,and the best models were applied to the production process of a Hesteel Group steelmaking plant in China in the *** number of tabular features(hot metal information,scrap,additives,blowing practices,and preset values)was expanded,and time series(off-gas profiles and blowing practice curves)that could reflect the entire steelmaking process were introduced as ***,the latest machine learning models(LightGBM,CatBoost,TabNet,and NODE)were used to make predictions with tabular features,and the best coefficient of determination R^(2)values obtained for TSC-P,TSC-C and TSC-Temp predictions were 0.435(LightGBM),0.857(Cat-Boost)and 0.678(LightGBM),respectively,which were higher than those of classic models(backpropagation and support vector machine).Then,making predictions was performed by using SOTA time series regression models(SCINet,DLinear,Informer,and MLSTM-FCN)with original time series,SOTA image regression models(NesT,caiT,ResNeXt,and GoogLeNet)with resized time series,and the proposed Concatenate-Model and Parallel-Model with both tabular features and time *** optimization and comparisons,it was finally determined that the Concatenate-Model with MLSTM-FCN,SCINet and Informer as feature extractors performed the best,and its R^(2)values for predicting TSC-P,TSC-C and TSC-Temp reached 0.470,0.858 and 0.710,*** field test accuracies for TSC-P,TSC-C and TSC-Temp were 0.459,0.850 and 0.685,respectively.A related importance analysis was carri

Numerical and experimental research on axial injection end-burning hybrid rocket motors with polyethylene fuel

This study investigates the end-burning hybrid rocket motors with polyethylene fuel by the numerical simulation and *** on computational fluid dynamics,a numerical model is *** model is validated by two firing tests in this hybrid rocket motor,which uses oxygen and polyethylene as *** results show that the numerical and experimental data are in good agreement,and the error of the chamber pressure is less than 2.63%.Based on the simulation mode,the blowoff limit of the end-burning hybrid rocket motors is *** the nozzle throat diameter and the inner diameter of grain are large,it is more difficult for the hybrid rocket motor to achieve end-burning mode,i.e.,the flame spreading is prevented in the narrow *** main reason is that when the nozzle throat and the grain port are large,chamber pressure and oxidizer flow velocity are ***,the friction velocity considering the pressure and flow velocity is *** critical friction velocity is about 4.054–4.890 m/s in the hybrid rocket *** the friction velocity exceeds the critical friction velocity,the combustion mode in hybrid rocket motors changes from the flame spreading mode to the end-burning ***,the regression rate formula is obtained by fitting,which shows that the regression rate has a good correlation with combustion chamber *** critical friction velocity and regression rate formula can provide an important reference for end-burning hybrid rocket motors.

A comprehensive fluid-solid coupling dynamic simulation for spatiotemporal distribution of regression rate in hybrid rocket motors

The spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of the regression rate are crucial aspects of the research on Hybrid Rocket Motor(HRM).This study presents a pioneering effort in achiev-ing a comprehensive numerical simulation of fluid dynamics and heat transfer in both the fluid and solid regions throughout the entire operation of an *** accomplish this,a dynamic grid tech-nique that incorporates fluid-solid coupling is *** validate the precision of the numerical simulations,a firing test is conducted,with embedded thermocouple probes being used to measure the inner temperature of the fuel *** temperature variations in the solid fuel obtained from both experiment and simulations show good *** maximum combustion temperature and average thrust obtained from the simulations are found to deviate from the experimental results by only 3.3%and 2.4%,***,it can be demonstrated that transient numerical simu-lations accurately capture the fluid-solid coupling characteristics and transient regression *** dynamic simulation results of inner flow field and solid region throughout the entire working stage reveal that the presence of vortices enhances the blending of combustion gases and improves the regression rate at both the front and rear ends of the fuel *** addition,oscillations of the regression rate obtained in the simulation can also be well corresponded with the corrugated surface observed in the ***,the zero-dimension regression rate formula and the for-mula describing the axial location dependence of the regression rate are fitted from the simulation results,with the corresponding coefficients of determination(R°)of 0.9765 and 0.9298,*** research serves as a reference for predicting the performance of HRM with gas oxygen and polyethylene,and presents a credible way for investigating the spatiotemporal distribution of the regression rate.

Triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)has a promising future in the field of energy harvesting and self-powered sensing due to their simplicity in structure,low cost,and efficient energy harvesting from the surrounding *** output electrical performance of TENG can be improved by doping the friction material with functional materials and modifying the surface of the friction ***,the current method of adding functional materials to friction materials is costly and wasteful,and the method of modifying the surface structure of friction materials is cumbersome and not easy to *** this work,we present a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)-MXene/gelatin triboelectric nanogenerator(PMMG-TENG)based on petal surface-microstructures,which has the advantages of low cost,simple preparation,high output performance,and ecological *** doping 0.03 wt.%of MXene in PDMS,the output electrical performance of TENG can be significantly improved,with an output current increase of up to 139.7%.Four different petals are used as natural molds to prepare *** results show that PMMG-TENG with peony petal surface microstructure has the best electrical performance,and the output current increase of up to 228.17%compared with PMMG-TENG without *** PMMG-TENG with peony petal surface-microstructure exhibits excellent electrical performance,demonstrating a maximum open-circuit voltage of 417.39 V and a maximum short-circuit current of 12.01μA at a size of 3 cm×3 cm,and a maximum power density of 170μW/cm^(2) at a load resistance of 107Ω.The PMMG-TENG’s output performance after 10,000 cycles is consistent with the initial state,highlighting excellent output *** PMMG-TENG can easily light up at least 100 light emitting diodes(LEDs).(operating voltage 3V.)Gelatin film exhibits excellent degradation performance,with complete degradation time of only 150 s in water at a constant temperature of 75℃.PMMG-TENG not only shows excellent performance in
