rare-earth elements(rEEs)are critical to m.d.rn industry but difficult to separate due to their subtle and monotonic changes in physico-chemical ***2-based two-dimensional(2d)materials offer novel opportunities for enhancing rEE separation,exhibiting a distinct volcano-shaped transport performance distribution that peaks at sm3+.However,the specific contributions of therm.d.namic and kinetic factors to ion transport within 2d confinement remain *** this study,we conducted a series of non-equilibrium all-atom molecular dynamics(md)simulations to explore the effects of interlayer spacing and external pressure on the transport of lanthanide ions inÅ-scale acetate functionalized 2d mos2(mos2-cOOH)*** examined ion entry and permeation rates,water flux,dehydration,and binding *** simulation results reveal that the transport trends of lanthanide ions are jointly driven by the dehydration degree and the relative-binding strengths of ions to water and to the acetate within the 2d ***,the dehydration pattern of lanthanide ions during permeation is closely linked to kinetic ***,this study provides a detailed atomistic understanding of the mechanisms under-lying lanthanide ion transport under *** findings point to the significant potential for tuning confinement and chemical functionalization withinÅ-scale channels for more efficient rEE separation.

The last few years have been witness to a proliferation of new results concerning heavy exotic ***, many new signals have been discovered that could be pointing towards the existence of tetraquarks,pentaquarks, and other exotic configurations of quarks and gluons. Theoretically, advances in lattice field theory techniques place us at the cusp of understanding complex coupled-channel phenomena, m.d.lling grows more sophisticated, and effective field theories are being applied to an ever greater range of situations. It is thus an opportune time to evaluate the status of the field. In the following, a series of high priority experimental and theoretical issues concerning heavy exotic hadrons is presented.

dc plasma is a very promising technology for processing different materials, and is becoming especially interesting when low environmental impact and high-performance treatments are needed. some of the intrinsic characteristics of dc plasma technology, which make it suitable for powder metallurgy （Pm） and powder injection molding （PIm） parts production, are low- pressure processing and plasma environment high reactivity. moreover it can be considered as a highly competitive green technology. In this work, an overview of some of the important dc plasma techniques applied to Pm and PIm parts processing is presented. Emphasis is given to the descriptions of the main characteristics and the technique potentials of plasma-assisted nitriding, plasma-assisted thermal debinding, plasma-assisted sintering, and simultaneously plasma-assisted sintering and surface alloying. The aspects presented and discussed in this paper indicate that dc plasma processes are promising and competitive techniques for Pm and PIm parts processing.

The long-term seepage of hydrocarbons, either as macroseepage or microseepage, can set up near-surface oxidation reduction zones that favor the development of a diverse array of chemical and mineralogical changes. The bacterial oxidation of light hydrocarbons can directly or indirectly bring about significant changes in the values of pH and Eh of the surrounding environment, thereby also changing the stability fields of the different mineral species present in that environment. The paper reports the role of hydrocarbon microseepage in surface alterations of trace metal concentrations. In this study trace metal alterations were mapped that appear to be associated with hydrocarbon microseepages in the oil/ gas fields. A total of 50 soil samples were collected near oil and gas fields of the Tatipaka and Pasarlapudi areas of the Krishna Godavari Basin, Andhra Pradesh. The soil samples were collected from a depth of 2-2.5 m. The paper reports the chemical alterations associated with trace metals in soils that are related to hydrocarbon microseepages above some of the major oil and gas fields of this petroliferous region. Trace metals, such as scandium （sc）, vanadium （V）, chromium （cr）, cobalt （co）, nickel （Ni）, copper （cu）, zinc （Zn）, barium （Ba） and strontium （sr）, in soil samples were analyzed using inductively coupled plasma- mass spectrometry （IcP-ms）. The concentrations of sc （8 to 40 mg/kg）, V （197 to 489 mg/kg）, cr （106 to 287 mg/kg）, co （31 to 52 mg/kg）, Ni （65 to 110 mg/kg）, cu （88 to 131 mg/kg）, Zn （88 to 471 mg/kg）, Ba （263 to 3,091 mg/kg） and sr （119 to 218 mg/kg） were obtained. It was observed that the concentrations of trace elements were tremendously increased when they were compared with their normal concentrations in soils. The analysis of adsorbed soil gas showed the presence of high concentrations of Yc2＋（c2H6, c3H8 and n-c4H10） ranging from 7 to 222 μg/kg respectively. Hydrothermal carbonization （HTc）, utilizing high temperature and pressure, has the potential to treat agricultural waste via inactivating pathogens, antibiotic resistance genes （ArG）, and contaminants of emerging concern （cEc） in a environmental and economical manner. Livestock mortality is one facet of agricultural waste that can pose a threat to the surrounding environment. While several methods are utilized to treat livestock mortality, there remains a paucity of data on the elimination of microbially- derived dNA in these treatment practices. This dNA, most notably ArGs, if it survives treatment can be reintroduced in agricultural environments where it could potentially be passed to pathogens, posing a risk to animal and human populations. HTc treatments have been successfully utilized for the treatment of cEcs, however very little is understood on how ArGs survive HTc treatment. This study aims to fill this knowledge gap by examining the survivability ofmicrobially-derived dNA in the HTc treatment of livestock mortality. We examined three treatment temperatures （100℃, 150℃, and 200℃） at autogenic pressures at three treatment times （30, 60, and 240 min）. We examined the amplification of a plasm.d.bome reporter gene carried by Escherichia coli dH 10B introduced to both beef bone and tissue. results indicate that while all three temperatures, at all treatment times, were suitable for complete pathogen kill, only temperatures of 150℃ and 200℃ were sufficient for eliminating microbial dNA. These results serve as the basis for future potential HTc treatment recommendations for livestock mortality when considering the elimination of pathogens and ArGs.

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of using computational fluid dynamics （cfd） turbulence m.d.ls to predict entropy generation rates in bypass transitional boundary layers flows under zero and adverse pressure gradients. Entropy generation rates in such flows are evaluated employing the commercial cfd software, ANsYs fLUENT. Various turbulence and transitional m.d.ls are assessed by comparing their results with the direct numerical simulation （dNs） data and two recent cfd studies. A solution verification study is conducted on three systematically refined meshes. The factor of safety method is used to estimate the numerical error and grid uncertainties. monotonic convergence is achieved for all simulations. The reynolds number based on momentum thickness, reo, skin-friction coefficient, cf, approximate entropy generation rates, s, dissipation coefficient, cd , and the intermittency, y, are calculated for bypass transition simulations. All reynolds averaged Navier-stokes （rANs） turbulence and transitional m.d.ls show improvement over previous cfd results in predicting onset of transition. The transition ssT k - ω 4 equation m.d.l shows closest agreement with dNs data for all flow conditions in this study due to a much finer grid and more accurate inlet boundary conditions. The other rANs m.d.ls predict an early onset of transition and higher boundary layer entropy generation rates than the dNs shows.

An one-year of sampling aerosol program was carried out during the period of April 1995 to April 1996 at coastal region, cape d′Aguilar, in Hong Kong. The trace element composition of aerosol particles(TsP and Pm 10 ) were measured and analyzed by using the Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis(INAA) and Inductive couple Plasma-mass spectrometry(IcP-ms) techniques. The results showed that the polluted elements such as: V, Zn, As, Pb, cd, sb, I, se, Bi, with high enrichment factor(E.f) values, are derived from anthropogenic sources, while sc, Al, fe, mn, sm, La, sr are less than 10 in E.f, these elements are related the crust and soil. The concentration of the trace elements are present seasonal variation i.e. summer low and winter high, whereas the V or noncrustal V(V *) present summer high and winter low, this phenomenon might be explained by local or regional oil combustion sources. Use three type of elemental ratio, e.g. La/sm, mn */V * and Bi/Al indicate that both TsP and Pm 10 of La/sm ratios are mainly related to soil and dust, mn */V * are probably represent fossil combustion and Bi/Al are possibly associated with refuse incineration, ferromanganese alloys and aluminum production. The varimax rotation factor analysis for trace elements was perform.d. By means of the absolute principal component analysis(APcA) and multiple regression, the contribution of trace elements to possible sources and overall means of trace elements were estimated. The results showed that the present station is impacted by the anthropogenic species, although the quantities are different during the summertime and wintertime.
