neurologic function implemented soft organic electronic skin holds promise for wide range of applications,such as skin prosthetics,neurorobot,bioelectronics,human-robotic interaction(HRI),***,we report the development of a fully rubbery synaptic transistor which consists of all-organic materials,which shows unique synaptic characteristics existing in biological *** synaptic characteristics retained even under mechanical stretch by 30%.We further developed a neurological electronic skin in a fully rubbery format based on two mechanoreceptors(for synaptic potentiation or depression)of pressure-sensitive rubber and an all-organic synaptic *** converting tactile signals into Morse Code,potentiation and depression of excitatory postsynaptic current(EPSC)signals allow the neurological electronic skin on a human forearm to communicate with a robotic *** collective studies on the materials,devices,and their characteristics revealed the fundamental aspects and applicability of the all-organic synaptic transistor and the neurological electronic skin.

The ability to perform against extreme corrosion environments in stainless steel depreciates under challenging conditions in industrial applications. This can be resolved by employing surface modification techniques to modify the surface with the required characteristics. The present study investigates the outcomes of friction stir processing of SS304 with CoCrFeCuTi high entropy alloy(HEA) as reinforcement and the property enhancements post-annealing. The synthesized CoCrFeCuTi HEA exhibited irregular fragments with 17 μm mean particle size and body centred cubic(BCC) phase. The microstructure of the processed surface revealed ultra-refined grains with a uniform distribution of HEA filler. The microstructures of the samples annealed at 400℃, 550℃, 700℃ and 850℃ for 2 h also showed significant grain growth and grain refinements. The processed sample with HEA reinforcement annealed at 700℃ exhibited enhanced microhardness and tensile strength by 63% and 0.88 times than that of the processed sample with HEA pre-annealing. The subsequent electrochemical corrosion test displayed better corrosion resistance for the HEA-processed and annealed sample. Hot corrosion tests at 900℃ showcased excellent resistance for the HEA processed and annealed samples by 14.92%, 12.75%, and 14.83% against the samples pre-annealed under three different salt mixtures, and the corroded surface was analyzed.

Thermally responsive liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) hold great promise in applications of soft robots and actuators because of the induced size and shape change with temperature. Experiments have successfully demonstrated that the LCE based bimorphs can be effective soft robots once integrated with soft sensors and thermal actuators. Here, we present an analytical transient thermo-mechanical model for a bimorph structure based soft robot, which consists of a strip of LCE and a thermal inert polymer actuated by an ultra-thin stretchable open-mesh shaped heater to mimic the unique locomotion behaviors of an inchworm. The coupled mechanical and thermal analysis based on the thermo-mechanical theory is carried out to underpin the transient bending behavior, and a systematic understanding is therefore achieved. The key analytical results reveal that the thickness and the modulus ratio of the LCE and the inert polymer layer dominate the transient bending deformation. The analytical results will not only render fundamental understanding of the actuation of bimorph structures, but also facilitate the rational design of soft robotics.

For real parameters αand β such that 0≤α 〈 1 〈β, we denote by S（α,β） the class of normalized analytic functions which satisfy the following two-sided inequality：where U denotes the open unit disk. We find a sufficient condition for functions to be in the class S（α,β） and solve several radius problems related to other well-known function classes.

BACKGROUnD The biochemical phenomenon defined as poly adenosine diphosphate(ADP)-ribosylation(PARylation)is essential for the progression of pancreatic ***,the excessive accumulation of poly ADP-ribose(PAR)induces apoptosis-inducing factor(AIF)release from mitochondria and energy deprivation resulting in the caspase-independent death of cancer *** To investigate whether sustained calcium supply could induce an anticancer effect on pancreatic cancer by PAR *** Two pancreatic cancer cell lines,AsPC-1 and CFPAC-1 were used for the *** influx and mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(ROS)were observed by fluorescence *** in enzyme levels,as well as PAR accumulation and energy metabolism,were measured using assay ***-dependent cell death was investigated followed by confirming in vivo anticancer effects by sustained calcium *** Mitochondrial ROS levels were elevated with increasing calcium influx into pancreatic cancer ***,excess PAR accumulation,decreased PAR glycohydrolase and ADP-ribosyl hydrolase 3 levels,and energy deprivation were *** vitro and in vivo antitumor effects were confirmed to accompany elevated AIF *** This study visualized the potential anticancer effects of excessive PAR accumulation by sustained calcium supply on pancreatic cancer,however elucidating a clear mode of action remains a challenge,and it should be accompanied by further studies to assess its potential for clinical application.

Co,ni,and Zn iso-reticular coordination polymers of 2,5-dihydroxyterphthalic acid(H_(2)dot)can be rapidly obtained under room temperature and aqueous conditions using either sodium or ammonium hydroxide as the bases to deprotonate the *** use of metal bromides and tetrabutylammonium hydroxide(TBAOH)as the base allows the green synthesis of ionic metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),thermo gravimetric analysis(TGA),H-nuclear magnetic resonance(nMR),elemental analysis,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and employed in the pressure,solvent,and additive-free CO_(2)fixation to epoxides by its cycloaddition to epichlorohydrin,exhibiting a cooperative behavior between the MOF and the ionic liquid formed within the framework,achieving TOns of the confined tetrabutylammonium bromide(TBABr)up to 700.

We report a photoelectrochemical investigation of BiVO4 photoanodes prepared by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction(SILAR),a facile method that yields uniform nanoporous *** characterization of the phase,morphology,composition,and optical properties of the prepared films,the efficiencies of charge separation(ηsep)and water oxidation(ηox)in solar water splitting cells employing these photoanodes were estimated following a previously reported *** wavelength and illumination direction dependencies were discovered in the derived efficiencies,casting doubt on the validity of the *** alternative approach using a diffusion–reaction model that explicitly considers the efficiency of electron collection resolved the discrepancies and explained the illumination direction dependence of the *** diffusion lengths(Ln)of 0.45μm and 0.55μm were derived for pristine and cobalt phosphate(Co-Pi)modified BiVO4,respectively,which are much shorter than the film thickness of^2.1μ*** Co-Pi treatment also increasedηoxfrom 0.86 to^1,which is the main reason for the overall performance enhancement caused by adding *** findings suggest that there is little scope for improving the performance of SILAR-deposited BiVO4 photoanodes by further catalyzing water oxidation,but enhanced performance is achievable if electron transport can be improved.

High-concentration dispersions of exfoliated MoS2 sheets stabilized by freeze-dried silk fibroin powder

Liquid-phase exfoliation （LPE） is an attractive method for the scaling-up of exfoliated MoS2 sheets compared to chemical vapor deposition and mechanical cleavage. However, the MoS2 nanosheet yield from LPE is too small for practical applications. We report a facile method for the scaling-up of exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets using freeze-dried silk fibroin powders. Compared to MoS2 dispersion in the absence of silk fibroin powder, sonicated MoS2 dispersions with silk fibroin powder （MoSJSilk dispersion） show noticeably higher exfoliated MoS2 nanosheet yields, with suspended MoS2 concentrations in MoS2/Silk dispersions sonicated for 2 and 5 h of 1.03 and 1.39 ***-1, respectively. The MoS2 concentration in the MoS2/Silk dispersion after centrifugation above 10,000 rpm is more than four times that without the silk fibroin. The size of the dispersed silk fibroin is controlled by the change of centrifugation rate, showing the removal of silk fibroin above tens of micrometers in size after centrifugation at 2,000 rpm. Size-controlled silk fibroin biomolecules combined with MoS2 nanosheets are expected to increase the practical use of such materials in fields related to tissue engineering, biosensors and electrochemical electrodes. Atomic force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy provide the height of the MoS2 nanosheets spin-cast from MoS2/Silk dispersions, showing thicknesses of 3--6 nm. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction indicate that the outermost surface layer of the hydrophobic MoS2 crystals interact with oxygen-containing functional groups that exist in the hydrophobic part of silk fibroins. The amphiphilic properties of silk fibroin combined with the MoS2 nanosheets stabilize dispersions by enhancing solvent-material interactions. The large quantities of exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets suspended in the as-synthesized dispersions can be utilized for the fabrication of vapor and electrochemical devices requiring high MoS2 nanosheets contents.
