This is a continuity of.a series of.taxonomic papers where materials are examined,described and novel combinations are proposed where necessary to improve our traditional species concepts and provide updates on their *** addition to extensive morphological descriptions and appropriate asexual and sexual connections,DNA sequence data are also analysed f.om concatenated datasets(rDNA,TEf.a,RBP2 and b-Tubulin)to inf.r phylogenetic relationships and substantiate systematic position of.taxa within appropriate *** new species or combinations are being proposed,we apply an integrative approach(morphological and molecular data as well as ecological f.atures wherever applicable).Notes on 125 f.ngal taxa are compiled in this paper,including eight new genera,101 new species,two new combinations,one neotype,f.ur ref.rence specimens,new host or distribution records f.r eight species and one alternative *** new genera introduced in this paper are Alloarthopyrenia,Arundellina,camarosporioides,Neomassaria,Neomassarina,Neotruncatella,Paracapsulospora and *** new species are Alf.ria spartii,Alloarthopyrenia italica,Anthostomella ravenna,***,Arthrinium paraphaeospermum,Arundellina typhae,Aspergillus koreanus,Asterina cynometrae,Bertiella ellipsoidea,Blastophorum aquaticum,cainia globosa,camarosporioides phragmitis,Ceramothyrium menglunense,Chaetosphaeronema achilleae,Chlamydotubeuf.a helicospora,Ciliochorella phanericola,Clavulinopsis aurantiaca,Colletotrichum insertae,Comoclathris italica,Coronophora myricoides,Cortinarius f.lvescentoideus,***,***,***,Cunninghamella gigacellularis,Cyathus pyristriatus,Cytospora cotini,Dematiopleospora alliariae,***,Diaporthe aseana,***,Distoseptispora multiseptata,***,***,Dothiora buxi,Emericellopsis persica,Gloniopsis calami,Helicoma guttulatum,Helvella f.orif.rma,***,Hermatomyces subiculosa,Ju

Many f.ngi are pathogenic on plants and cause signif.cant damage in agriculture and *** are also part of.the natural ecosystem and may play a role in regulating plant numbers/*** identif.cation and analysis of.plant pathogenic f.ngi,while important,is of.en hampered by the scarcity of.discriminatory taxonomic characters and the endophytic or inconspicuous nature of.these ***(DNA sequence)data f.r plant pathogenic f.ngi have emerged as key inf.rmation f.r diagnostic and classif.cation studies,although hampered in part by non-standard laboratory practices and analytical *** f.cilitate current and f.ture research,this study provides phylogenetic synopses f.r 25 groups of.plant pathogenic f.ngi in the Ascomycota,Basidiomycota,Mucormycotina(f.ngi),and oomycota,using recent molecular data,up-to-date names,and the latest taxonomic *** laboratory protocols together with advice on their application,as well as general observations,are also *** hope to maintain updated backbone trees of.these f.ngal lineages over time and to publish them jointly as new data *** of.plant pathogenic f.ngi not covered by the present study are invited to join this f.ture ***,Botryosphaeriaceae,Botryosphaeria,Botrytis,Choanephora,Colletotrichum,Curvularia,Diaporthe,Diplodia,Dothiorella,f.sarium,Gilbertella,Lasiodiplodia,Mucor,Neof.sicoccum,Pestalotiopsis,Phyllosticta,Phytophthora,Puccinia,Pyrenophora,Pythium,Rhizopus,Stagonosporopsis,Ustilago and Verticillium are dealt with in this paper.
