COVID-19 vaccination and associated factors in Turkish healthcare workers practicing chest medicine

Objective: To evaluate the COVID-19 vaccination status and related characteristics of Turkish healthcare workers practicing chest ***: A cross-sectional online survey was conducted among the Turkish Thoracic Society members. The survey was started on May 17, 2021, and kept open for seven weeks. The 39-item survey included the COVID-19 vaccination status and demographic, clinical, and occupational characteristics. results: Of 378 healthcare workers participated in the survey, 354(93.7%) reported receiving at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 323(91.2%) healthcare workers received CoronaVac vs. BioNTech/Pfizer in 31(8.8%). In the CoronaVac group, 77(23.8%) contracted COVID-19 when not fully vaccinated, and 13(4.0%) when fully vaccinated;however, 16(51.6%) healthcare workers in the BioNTech/Pfizer group got COVID-19 when not fully vaccinated, but any fully vaccinated participants did not contract COVID-19(P=0.003). regarding vaccine dosing, 328(86.8%) were fully vaccinated, while 50(13.2%) were not. Multiple regression analysis for being a non-fully vaccinated healthcare worker demonstrated a significant relationship with having any SArS-CoV-2 infection history(adjusted Or 9.57, 95% CI 3.93-23.26, Pcare worker(adjusted Or 5.86, 95% CI 2.11-16.26, P=0.001), but a significant negative relationship with full-time working at the time of survey(adjusted Or 0.13, 95% CI 0.03-0.56, P=0.006). Conclusions: Although a majority of healthcare workers were fully vaccinated, occupational and non-occupational characteristics were related to being non-fully vaccinated. Active surveillance regarding the COVID-19 vaccination in healthcare workers is necessary to address specific parameters as barriers to vaccination.

cavefish have advanced to the forefront as excellent models for laboratory studies in developmental and evolutionary *** iconic Mexican characid,Astyanax mexicanus,which consists of a surface-dwelling morph and about 30 interfertile cave-dwelling morphs,has become a major contributor to behavior,sensory biology,trait evolution,and biomedicine(Jeffery,2020).There are about 200 scientifically-described cavefish species distributed in karst areas on most continents(Proudlove,2015).Similar to ***,a small subset of other cavefish taxa coupled with related surface-dwelling species are now serving as additional laboratory models to address a variety of important biological problems.A prime example is the cyprinid genus Sinocycloceilus,which contains 75 closely related surface and cave species endemic to the karst massifs of southwestern China(Jiang et al.,2019,2023;Ma et al.,2019).Comparative studies of Chinese and Mexican cavefish can be used to address a host of questions concerning the convergence and divergence of cave related *** the future,other Chinese cavefish species,such as the cave loach,as well as the more recently discovered European cavefishes,are likely to join the current group of excellent laboratory *** special issue of Zoological research presents the results of current research on these diverse cavefish *** addition to recent research using cavefish models in laboratory studies,this issue also covers new research on cavefish in the wild.

By applying tensile stress along 〈100〉 of β phase, the superelastic behavior and stabilization of stress induced martensite (SIM) of Cu 13.4Al 4.0Ni(mass fraction, %) single crystals were studied. The results show that the pseudo yield stress decreases with the increase of cycling number, and keeping load isothermally has an effect on stabilization of SIM. Previous thermal cycling between ( M s-20 ℃) and ( A f+20 ℃) promotes the superelasticity and the stabilization of SIM as well; the pre thermal cycling also reduces the pseudo yield stress. However, once the stabilization of SIM is produced, it can be destabilized by either the afterwards thermal cooling heating cycling or load and immediately unload cycling in ( A f～ M d). Isothermal treatment in ( A f～ M d) brings restabilization of SIM. The maximum superelastic value from β → β ′ 1(18 r ) is 9% for the studied single crystal. When test temperature is in A f～( A f+50 ℃) and stress is in 0～350 MPa, the superelastic behavior exist. [

We demonstrate experimentally the realization and the characterization of a chip-scale integrated photodetector for the near-infrared spectral regime based on the integration of a MoSe_(2)/WS_(2) heterojunction on top of a silicon nitride *** configuration achieves high responsivity of~1 A W−1 at the wavelength of 780 nm(indicating an internal gain mechanism)while suppressing the dark current to the level of~50 pA,much lower as compared to a reference sample of just MoSe_(2) without WS_(2).We have measured the power spectral density of the dark current to be as low as~1×10^(−12) A Hz−0.5,from which we extract the noise equivalent power(NEP)to be~1×10^(−12) W Hz^(−0.5).To demonstrate the usefulness of the device,we use it for the characterization of the transfer function of a microring resonator that is integrated on the same chip as the *** ability to integrate local photodetectors on a chip and to operate such devices with high performance at the near-infrared regime is expected to play a critical role in future integrated devices in the field of optical communications,quantum photonics,biochemical sensing,and more.

Microbial food safety in cultured tilapia remains a challenge to public health worldwide,due in part to intensive aquaculture leading to poor water quality and high organic matter *** study aimed to determine the prevalence of indicator and potential pathogenic bacteria in hybrid red tilapia(Oreochromis spp.)and their cultivation water and to identify environmental parameters and other bacterial contaminants associated with Salmonella contamination.A total of 120 fish were sampled,which were partitioned into fish carcasses(n=120),muscle(n=120),intestine(n=120),liverandkidney(n=120),and cultivationwater(n=120)from three commercial farms in westernThailand from October2019 to November *** prevalence of fecal coliforms and Escherichia coli(***)in these 600 samples was 74.8%and 56.7%,*** prevalence of Salmonella,Vibrio cholerae(***),Aeromonas hydrophila,and Vibrio vulnificus(***)was 23.0%,17.5%,2.5%,and 1.7%,*** of the samples tested positive for Streptococcus *** water exhibited a high prevalence for Salmonella(58.3%).Among fish samples,Salmonella had the highest prevalence at 14.1%,which was mainly from fish *** was a significant association of Salmonella with the presence of fecal coliforms,***,***,and *** predominant serovars of Salmonella included Saintpaul,Neukoelln,Escanaba,and *** ducks that were raised in proximity to these cultured tilapia shared the same isolates of Salmonella based on the similarity of their rep-PCr DNA fingerprints,suggesting that ducks may function as either a biological reservoir for tilapia or at minimum participate in the environmental replication of this strain of *** together,the results suggest that the environment used for tilapia aquaculture may be contaminated with pathogenic bacteria;therefore,food safety precautions are needed during processing,transportation,cooking,and consumption.

The effects of the long range electrostatic interaction in twisted bilayer graphene are described using the HartreeFock approximation. The results show a significant dependence of the band widths and shapes on electron filling,and the existence of broken symmetry phases at many densities, either valley/spin polarized, with broken sublattice symmetry, or both.

聚合物复合材料由于其自润滑特性和化学稳定性高等优势,在汽车和装备领域运动机构的摩擦学设计中发挥着越来越重要的作用.本研究系统考察了氟化钙(caF_(2))颗粒的加入对聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)和碳纤维(CF)增强PTFE材料摩擦学性能的影响规律.研究发现,在PTFE中添加caF_(2)颗粒可明显改善基体材料的抗磨性能.尤其,与分别填充有caF_(2)陶瓷颗粒或CF的PTFE材料相比,同时填充caF_(2)和CF的PTFE多元复合材料的耐磨性能分别提高了11.1和2.47倍.CF与caF_(2)表现出显著的协同抗磨作用,同时该多元复合材料表现出极低的特征磨损率[8.9×10^(-7)mm^(3)/(N·m)]和优异的自润滑性能.通过多种表征手段深入分析了金属对偶表面生长转移膜的微观结构以及界面的物理化学反应和产物.结果表明,PTFE发生摩擦化学反应并生成的羧酸基团,随后与CF研磨产生的石墨碳、破碎的caF_(2)以及其摩擦化学反应产物碳酸钙(caCO_(3)与caO)在闪温和机械力作用下发生摩擦烧结,促使易剪切、高承载特性转移膜在金属对偶表面生长,大幅降低了PTFE复合材料的磨损.研究结果为设计超低磨损的新型聚合物自润滑复合材料奠定了基础.

The static recrystallization process of a cold-rolled Mg-Zn-Gd alloy was tracked by a quasi-in-situ electron backscatter diffraction method to investigate the orientations of *** results show that orientation distribution of nuclei is associated with nucleation *** continuous static recrystallization nuclei display similar orientations to the parent grains with TD ***,discontinuous static recrystallization nuclei formed within the parent grains(TD-45~0 orientation) show random orientations and a variety of misorientation angles but preferred axes or .Interestingly,a special oriented nucleation is *** static recrystallization nuclei originated from boundaries of the parent grain(TD-70° orientation) show concentrated TD orientations in another side due to the preferred misorientation relationship 70°(∑18 b).It is speculated that these two special misorientation relationships are related to the dislocation type.
