Th. flexible product sh.pe of additive manufacturing(AM)is attractive,but th. process suffers from a lack of material property diversity due to a limited number of printable alloys and post-processing *** overcome th.s problem,th. AM of metal matrix composites(MMCs)is a h.gh.y suitable solution because th. properties of MMC can be tailored using various ***,extensive research.h.s been conducted on th. AM of MMCs;h.wever,th. major h.ddle for th.s process h.s been th. difficulties in preparing feedstock powder and operating th. AM *** study introduces an easily synth.sizable core-sh.ll composite powder,wh.ch.was fabricated by a recently developed process called th. SMART *** core-sh.ll powder h.s a novel morph.logy,consisting of a metal core and composite sh.ll,distinguish.ng it from th. powders used in conventional AM *** 625/TiCp composites were fabricated using th. core-sh.ll composite powder,with.various fractions of TiCp up to 10 vol.%.Compared to additive-manufactured Inconel 625,th. additive-manufactured MMCs sh.wed enh.nced strength.with.significantly fewer *** results of th.s study may accelerate th. application of MMC fabricated by AM,wh.ch.offers superior properties and reliability compared to casting and powder metallurgy due to th. h.gh.r degree of dislocation density and reinforcement dispersion.

Mg-Ni th.n films for nickel-metal h.dride (Ni-Mh. battery negative electrode were prepared on th.ee different substrates by using magnetron sputtering with.compacted Ni and Mg mixture powder. Th. microstructure of Mg-Ni th.n films deposited on th. glass and th. Ni foil substrate respectively was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Th. results sh.w th.t th. Mg-Ni th.n films were in amorph.us structure and th. composition of th. th.n film was h.mogeneous. Electroch.mical measurement sh.w th. disch.rge capacity of th. th.n film negative electrode deposited on th. foam Ni substrate was 284.8mAh.g in 6M alkaline electrolyte and th. internal resistance was much.lower th.n th.t of th. electrode prepared by th. ball-milled powder during th. ch.rge-disch.rge cycle.

Th. study of exotic structure of h.drons is fully ach.eved wh.n reaction dynamics of th. associated h.dron productions is well understood. We employ as th. standard mech.nism th. effective Lagrangian meth.d and investigate several ph.sical observables with.n th. framework. Th. parameters are constrained by microscopic description of h.drons. We discuss ph.toproductions of kaon associated with.th. ground state A（1116） and its resonances A（1405） and A（1520）. In th.s paper, we study th. classical Allen-Cah. equations and investigate th. maximum- principle-preserving (MPP) tech.iques. Th. Allen-Cah. equation h.s been widely used in math.matical models for problems in materials science and fluid dynamics. It enjoys th. energy stability and th. maximum-principle. Moreover, it is well known th.t th. Allen- Cah. equation may yield th.n interface layer, and nonuniform mesh.s migh. be useful in th. numerical solutions. Th.refore, we apply th. local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) meth.d due to its flexibility on h.p adaptivity and complex geometry. h.wever, th. MPP LDG meth.ds require slope limiters, th.n th. energy stability may not be easy to obtain. In th.s paper, we only discuss th. MPP tech.ique and use numerical experiments to dem-onstrate th. energy decay property. Moreover, due to th. stiff source given in th. equation, we use th. conservative modified exponential Runge-Kutta meth.ds and th.s can use rela-tively large time step sizes. Th.nks to th. conservative time integration, th. bounds of th. unknown function will not decay. Numerical experiments will be given to demonstrate th. good performance of th. MPP LDG sch.me.

AIM: Th.s study sh.res Asian clinical experiences of carcinoid tumors th.t originated in th. upper gastrointestinal ***: From May 1987 to June 2002, we h.d found only 13 cases of h.stologically confirmed carcinoid tumors in th. upper gastrointestinal tract by endoscopic examinations. Th.re were eigh. males and five *** mean age was 53.16±20.51 years th.t ranged from 26 to 82 years. Each.of th.ir clinical presentations,locations, tumor morph.logy, and size and th. treatment outcome were analyzed and ***: One patient h.d a polypoid lesion at th. lower esoph.gus, nine were stomach.lesions and th.ee located at th. duodenum. All patients with.polypoid and submucosal tumor types were of small size (＜1.7 cm) and all patients survived after simple excision or *** of th. five patients in tumor mass forms died and th. tumors were more th.n 2.0 cm in ***: Carcinoid tumors rarely originated from th. upper gastrointestinal tract and are usually found accidentally after endoscopic study. Bigger size (more th.n 2 cm) tumor masses may indicate a more severe disease and poor prognosis.

Ch.nese rice wine making is a typical simultaneous sacch.rification and fermentation （SSF） process. During th. fermentation process, temperature is one of th. key parameters wh.ch.decide th. quality of Ch.nese rice wine. To optimize th. SSF process for Ch.nese rice wine brewing, th. effects of temperature on th. kinetic parameters of yeast growth.and eth.nol production at various temperatures were determined in batch.cultures using a math.matical model. Th. kinetic parameters as a function of temperature were evaluated using th. software Origin8.0. Combing th.se functions with.th. math.matical model, an appropriate form of th. model equations for th. SSF considering th. effects of temperature were developed. Th. kinetic parameters were found to fit th. experimental data satisfactorily with.th. developed temperature-dependent model. Th. temperature profile for maximizing th. eth.nol production for rice wine fermentation was determined by genetic algorith.. Th. optimum temperature profile began at a low temperature of 26℃ up to 30 h. Th. operating temperature increased rapidly to 31.9 ℃, and th.n decreased slowly to 18℃ at 65 h. Th.reafter, th. temperature was maintained at 18 ℃ until th. end of fermentation. A maximum eth.nol production of 89.3 g.L 1 was attained. Conceivably, our model would facilitate th. improvement of Ch.nese rice wine production at th. industrial scale.
