By comparing PGE patterns of sulfide ores with that of basic-ultrabasic dikes occurring in the Dajing Cu-polymetallic deposit, we discover that there are similar positive slopes between the basic-ultrabasic dikes and the black ores composed mainly of sphalerite and galena, reflecting affinity of their source. The PGE patterns of the yellow ores composed basically of chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and pyrite are actually different. One is close to the pattern of the mantle 1herzolite, and others resemble the pattern of the basic rocks. However, the concentrations of Ru are higher in the yellow ores, reflecting that sulfur attains or approaches saturation in their parent magma. The PGE characteristics of ores and dikes show that the magmas derived from the deep of crust and the metallogenic elements were supplied mainly by growth material of the crust. In addition, the mantle-derived magma also offered some elements.

Sulfide fluid incluision study on mantle xenoliths of Hannouba has been carried out by EPMA analysis. It is indicated that the Ni/Fe ratios of metal sulfides in sulfide-melt inclusions from Hannuoba seem to be related to host rocks. These data of lherzolite （pentlandite） are obviously higher than those of olivine pyroxenite （mainly pentlandite, partly pyrrhotine）. The LRM analysis shows that sulfur （H2S+SO2） occupies larger proportion in gas composition of CO2 fluid inclusions, generally more than mol 20 %. This may be related to sulfide inclusions which are frequently found.

Laser probe_inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LP_ICP_MS) was used to determine 207 Pb/ 206 Pb ratios in single zircon grains. A Nd∶YAG laser operating at 1 064 nm and a Fisons_VG PQII Turbo ICP_MS were employed. For the known zircons, the 207 Pb/ 206 Pb results of LP_ICP_MS are close to the thermal ionization mass spectrometry (TIMS) results. The spatial resolution of this method is 40-50 μm and the sensitivities for lead isotopes are about 300-400 cps/ppm. The precision of 207 Pb/ 206 Pb ratio is 0.3%-4% and depends on the lead concentration of the sampling pits. LP_ICP_MS provides a simple, rapid and economic method for zircon 207 Pb/ 206 Pb determination.

Ultramafic xenoliths are common in Tietonggou intrusion, Laiwu, Shandong Prov-ince. Peridotite xenoliths develop two-stage metasomatism popularly: (i) The early metasoma-tism is characterized by intergranular clinopyroxene and phlogopite; (ii) The later metasomatism is characterized by orthopyroxene veins with a few plagioclases and amphiboles. These ul-tramafic xenoliths are thought to be mostly from the crust-mantle transitional zone on the basis of their combination, mineral chemistry, equilibrium temperature, and metasomatic characteristics. Major elements, rare earth elements, and Sr-Nd isotopic composition of the ultramafic xenoliths indicate that there is a petrogenetic relationship between the silica-enriched xenoliths and their host diorites. We propose that such silica enrichment might be an indicator of melt-rock interac-tions in the Mesozoic lithosphere beneath western Shandong.

The cooling curves are obtained using specific 40Ar/39Ar stage heating procedure and MDD modeling. In addition to the results of dating hornblende (K-Ar) and apatite (FT), the widespread existence of rapid cooling events has further been confirmed. A new knowledge of the starting time of Gangdese overthrust faulting in the east of Zedang, which was earlier in south and later in north is acquired.

Locating the quantitized natural sediment fingerprints is an important work for marine sediment dynamics *** total of 146 sediment samples were collected from the Shelf of the East china Sea and five rivers,including Huanghe （Yellow）,Changjiang （Yangtze）,Qiantang,Ou and min *** sediment grain size and the contents of rare earth elements （REEs） were measured with laser particle size analyzer and ICP-MS *** results show that absolute REE content （ΣREE） and the concentration ratio of light REEs to heavy REEs （L/HREE） are different in the sediments among those *** are higher REE contents in being less than 2 m and 2–31 μm fractions in the Changjiang Estuary surface *** REE contents of bulk sediment are dominated by the corresponding values of those leading *** of sediment is higher close to the estuaries and declines seaward on the inner shelf of the East china Sea （ECS）.The L/HREE ratio has a tendency of increase southward from 28 ？ *** conditions plays a predominate role on spacial distributions of the surficial sediment’s REE *** some situations,the currents tend to remove the coarser light grains from initial populations,as well as the deposit of the finer heavy mineral *** other situations,the currents will change the ratio of sediment constituents,such as ratio between silts and clays in the *** a result,the various values of REE or L/HREE ratio in different bulk sediments are more affected by the change of size-fractions than source *** the long-term stable hydrodynamic environment,i.e.,the East china Sea Shelf,new sediment transport model based on the size and density gradation concept may help to understand the spatial distribution patterns of REE parameters.

Recent advances in hydrocarbon exploration have been made in the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex reservoirs of the Dengying Formation in the western Sichuan Basin, SW china,where the depositional process is regarded confusing. The microfacies, construction types, and depositional model of the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex have been investigated using unmanned aerial vehicle photography, outcrop section investigation, thin section identification,and seismic reflections in the southwestern Sichuan Basin. The microbialite lithologic textures in this region include thrombolite, dendrolite, stromatolite, fenestral stromatolite, spongiostromata stone,oncolite, aggregated grainstone, and botryoidal grapestone. Based on the comprehensive analysis of“depositional fabrics-lithology-microfacies”, an association between a fore mound, mound framework,and back mound subfacies has been proposed based on water depth, current direction, energy level and lithologic assemblages. The microfacies of the mound base, mound core, mound flank, mound cap, and mound flat could be recognized among the mound framework subfacies. Two construction types of marginal microbial mound-bank complex have been determined based on deposition location, mound scale, migration direction, and sedimentary facies association. Type Jinkouhe microbial mound constructions(TJMMCs) develop along the windward margin owing to their proximity to the seaward subfacies fore mound, with a northeastwardly migrated microbial mound on top of the mud mound,exhibiting the characteristics of large-sized mounds and small-sized banks in the surrounding area. Type E'bian microbial mound constructions(TEMMCs) primarily occur on the leeward margin, resulting from the presence of onshore back mound subfacies, with the smaller southwestward migrated microbial mounds existing on a thicker microbial flat. 应用可对脊椎动物骨骼化石及其围岩元素特征进行原位无损检测的微区X射线荧光技术(Micro-XRF)对距今约2.44亿年的中三叠世海生爬行动物盘县混鱼龙(Mixosaurus panxianensis)正模及副模化石标本进行扫描,将获取的整体元素分布模式可视化,并以手持式X荧光光谱仪对部分相关特征区域进行辅助扫描。扫描结果显示,骨骼化石与围岩的元素分布呈现明显差异,骨骼化石以Ca、P、Sr、Y等元素富集为代表;围岩以Ca、K、Fe、Mn等为特征元素。此外,Zn在副模标本中呈现差异分布,躯干部位Zn富集,高于头骨。研究认为Micro-XRF扫描结果可详细揭示盘县混鱼龙的骨骼解剖学特征,补充了在一般光学显微镜下无法从化石上看到的右前肢及腹膜肋等重要信息,并可以更好地区分钙质围岩和骨骼。同时,经海陆对比,发现埋藏环境对不同元素的分布特征具有一定程度的影响,部分元素如Th、Ce、Cu、Sr表现出对埋藏环境的响应,而与骨骼相关的部分元素如Ca、P、Y受埋藏环境影响较小。另外,Zn在骨骼化石不同部位的差异分布很可能受骨骼发育影响,在副模化石标本上Zn富集的椎体及肋骨可能处于快速骨化阶段,推断该个体可能为亚成年个体。
