Two powder mixing processes, mechanical mixing （MM） and mechanical alloying （MA）, were used to prepare mixed Al/diamond powders, which were subsequently consolidated using spark plasma sintering （SPS） to produce bulk Al/diamond composites. The effects of the powder mixing process on the morphologies of the mixed powders, the microstructure and the thermal conductivity of the composites were investigated. The results show that the powder mixing process can significantly affect the microstructure and the thermal conductivity of the composites. Agglomerations of the particles occurred in mixed powders using MM for 30 min, which led to high pore content and weak interfacial bonding in the composites and resulted in low relative density and low thermal conductivity for the composites. Mixed powders of homogeneous distribution of diamond particles could be obtained using MA for 10 min and MM for 2.h. The composite prepared through MA indicated a high relative density but low thermal conductivity due to its defects, such as damaged particles, Fe impurity, and local interfacial debonding, which were mainly introduced in the MA process. In contrast, the composite made by MM for 2.h demonstrated high relative density and an excellent thermal conductivity of 32. W.m^-1.K^-1, owing to its having few defects and strong inter-facial bonding.

Spark plasma sintering （SPS） was used to fabricate Al/diamond composites. The influence of diamond particle size on the microstructure and thermal conductivity （TC） of composites was investigated by combining experimental results with model prediction. The results show that both composites with 40 pan particles and 70 μm particles exhibit high density and good TC, and the composite with 70 μm particles indicates an excellent TC of 32. W.m^-1.K^-1. Their TCs lay between the theoretical estimated bounds. In contrast, the composite with 100 lain particles demonstrates low density as well as poor TC due to its high porosity and weak interfacial bonding. Its TC is even considerably less than the lower bound of the predicted value. Using larger diamond particles can further enhance thermal conductive performance only based on the premise that highly dense composites of strong interfacial bonding can be obtained.

The interfacial thermal conductance （ITC） and thermal conductivity （TC） of diamond/Al composites with various coatings were theoretically studied and discussed. A series of predictions and numerical analyses were performed to investigate the effect of thickness, sound velocity, and other parameters of coating layers on the ITC and TC. It is found that both the ITC and TC decline with increasing coating thickness, especially for the coatings with relatively low thermal conductivity. Nevertheless, if the coating thickness is close to zero, or quite a small value, the ITC and TC are mainly determined by the constants of the coating material. Under this condition, coatings such as Ni, TiC, Mo 2.C, SiC, and Si can significantly improve the ITC and TC of diamond/Al composites. By contrast, coatings like Ag will exert the negative effect. Taking the optimization of interfacial bonding into account, conductive carbides such as TiC or Mo 2.C with low thickness can be the most suitable coatings for diamond/Al composites.

Digestive health is important for overall well-being， but gut health problems are common in the Chinese population. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of oat β-glucan–based prebiotic blended formulas in humans on digestive health by assessing defecation frequen-cy， defecation symptoms， stool quality， self-reported digestive feelings， defecation satisfaction， and gut bacteria. A parallel， randomized， double-blind， controlled trial was conducted in 168 eli-gible adults randomized to three groups for 14 days: Intervention Groups A and B received two different doses of oat β-glucan–based prebiotic blended formulas and a Control Group received oat β-glucan mixed with hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose and microcrystalline cellulose. Partici-pants completed a defecation diary and Bristol stool chart daily and digestive system question-naires weekly. Fecal samples were collected on Day 0 and Day 14 to evaluate gut bacteria using 16S rDNA analysis. Both formulas improved defecation frequency， stool quality， defecation symptoms， defecation satisfaction， and on digestive health of human， compared with baseline (P kermansia bacteria， compared to control， on Day 14. This study therefore demonstrated the beneficial effects of oat β-glucan–based prebiotic blended formulas on gut health in generally healthy Chinese adults. These formulas are a feasible nutritional strategy for digestive health.

Within the electronic design automation(EDA) domain, artificial intelligence(AI)-driven solutions have emerged as formidable tools, yet they typically augment rather than redefine existing methodologies. These solutions often repurpose deep learning models from other domains, such as vision, text, and graph analytics, applying them to circuit design without tailoring to the unique complexities of electronic circuits. Such an “AI4EDA” approach falls short of achieving a holistic design synthesis and understanding,overlooking the intricate interplay of electrical, logical, and physical facets of circuit data. This study argues for a paradigm shift from AI4EDA towards AI-rooted EDA from the ground up, integrating AI at the core of the design process. Pivotal to this vision is the development of a multimodal circuit representation learning technique, poised to provide a comprehensive understanding by harmonizing and extracting insights from varied data sources, such as functional specifications, register-transfer level(RTL) designs, circuit netlists,and physical layouts. We champion the creation of large circuit models(LCMs) that are inherently multimodal, crafted to decode and express the rich semantics and structures of circuit data, thus fostering more resilient, efficient, and inventive design methodologies. Embracing this AI-rooted philosophy, we foresee a trajectory that transcends the current innovation plateau in EDA, igniting a profound “shift-left” in electronic design methodology. The envisioned advancements herald not just an evolution of existing EDA tools but a revolution, giving rise to novel instruments of design-tools that promise to radically enhance design productivity and inaugurate a new epoch where the optimization of circuit performance, power, and area(PPA) is achieved not incrementally, but through leaps that redefine the benchmarks of electronic systems' capabilities.

With the advancement of modern science and technology, large scientific facilities are increasingly oriented toward demand and application, and can be used for basic research as well as serving multiple disciplines. Developing large scientific facilities and related analytical technologies enhances understanding of large scientific facilities and popularizes their application in research across multiple disciplines. The combination of light or neutron sources from large scientific facilities and advanced analytical technologies can be achieved for {2. structure information, dynamics study of chemical reactions, high dissociation of biomolecules, 3D visualization of energy {2. or biological samples, etc. We first introduce the progress of domestic large scientific facilities of synchrotron radiation(SR) and free electron lasers(FELs) with different wavelengths and neutron *** further discuss the comparison between Chinese and typical foreign facilities in X-ray radiation from X-ray tubes, synchrotrons, X-ray FELs, and neutron sources based on physical parameters of light and neutron sources. In addition, we focus on the technological progress and perspectives combined with advanced X-ray radiation and neutron sources of large scientific facilities in china, especially in the nanoscience fields of energy catalysis and biological science. We hope that this roadmap will provide references on technology and methods to experimental users, as well as prospects for future development of technologies based on large research infrastructure facilities. Comprehensive studies and guidelines for basic research to practical application in various disciplines can be made with the assistance of large scientific facilities.
